Photoshop :: Missing Thumbnail Size Slider & Other...

I have Photoshop Elements 5.0 (windows). On my Organizer page, I am missing the bottom row of functions (which I have seen pictured on the Help Center). This is making it difficult to navigate and organize.
I am missing: Arrangement menu, thumbnail size slider, full screen view button, date view, map icon. The bottom-most item is the 'click here to add caption' under the photo. I looked all over the tool bars. Am I missing something obvious or do I have a software problem?

I recently got a new computer and have since reinstalled Photoshop. I like to my gifs and the such but when I went to select what frame I wanted I had this show up.

In previous versions of Adobe Illustrator, there was a slider available to adjust a gradient scale so easily. Yet, this extremely convenient and time-saving slider was removed from the gradient scale in the latest version of Illustrator 17.1.0; I don’t understand why you would do this. We can only use the numbers of angles you provided, or we have to type in a desired number. This complicates work so much and just wastes valuable time. It was so much easier when the slider was there as you could see the result instantly as you were making adjustments. The number was irrelevant in most instances.

The sliders are nearly useless for me as I typically use pens and brushsizes of 1,5, 10 and 20. I need to change the size regularly and thesliders would be ideal yet my 'working' range is in a tiny little bit atthe end of the slider value.
It would be a huge gain for me to some how set the max slider value to avalue of my choice (say 50) rather than the current value of 1000
Is it possible? If not can I make a feature request (and if so how)

in the tool options ... the brush size slider bar thing...
so ive been doing alot of pixel work... and i HATE how the brush size slider, if i click in the middle of the sizer bar slider thing... its like 500 pixels....
is there a way to adjust the range of this bar? in preferences or something?? i cant find it..
it is SOO annoying and would speed my workflow by like 200%
i want the slider to be like 1px - 50px .... not 1px to 1000px .... its insane... and then when i click up and down arrows it goes by .01

The controls that used to appear on the workspace after the pattern fill tool is selected are no longer accessible. I don't know the name of this control, but it has handles allowing a pattern fill to be re-sized and rotated within an object.

I have an imac with 4gb memory. In the PSE9 organizer at the smaller thumbnail settings I see thumbnails as hourglasses. Could there be too many photos in the organizer?

This is probably an FAQ but for the life of me, I can't find it in your database(s). Simple: in my Layers tabs, how do I control the size of those thumbnails? By default those thumbnails are tiny and I want to make them larger.
So in the enclosed image example, I want to make the thumbnail of Title stuff larger.

My gimp opens all images in small thumbnail size (160 120). How can I get rid of this and get the files opened in their original size. I am running ubuntu 11.04 and gimp 2.6.11, and utilizing .NEF (nikon raw)
I have tried to remove $HOME/.gimp-2.6 - that didn't seem to work. I have installed and uninstalled ufraw - that didn't seem to work I have looked at gimp preferences, don't see there anything which would define reading in images into "thumbnail" size.
I am suspecting that after installing ufraw this problem appeared and I seem not be able to get rid of it. Removing $HOME/.ufrawrc didn't useful.

I'm running on a 30" monitor which is really great for workflow efficiency. BUT... the thumbnail images in the filmstrip are just too small and I'd like to be able to enlarge the thumbnail size.

I am not able to save the changes that I make to the starting position of my scenes thumbnails when I use a Thumbnail Menu to create my DVD. I am using Video Studio X4 with Service Packs 1 and 2 installed running on Windows XP Home, SP 2 with all updates installed and DirectX 9.0. The scene changes work fine when I Preview them but they are not saved when I close the Create Disk sub-menu. When I return to the “Menu and Preview” section of the Create Disk sub-menu, the Main Menu scene change is present as is the Chapter 1 scene change but the other chapter scene changes are gone. What can I do to correct this?

I’m using Photoshop CS 8.0 not the newer versions of CS2-5, in my previous versions of Photoshop before CS I was able to print Tabloid paper sizes, and in the new CS under page setup tabled is no longer in there. I am running windows 7 64-bit, the printer is a Xerox Work center 7345 with updated drivers. the printer sees and recognizes the paper size under the control panel printer driver preferences. but Photoshop CS will not see that size available.

Many of my catalog images (LR 3.6) do not show file size or pixel information for the associated image file. I suspect this is a hangover from an import of photos from Photoshop Elements which I used in the past. The problem is that when I put such an image in a slideshow or web gallery, the exported image is not properly displayed.
To get around this, I can export the image files to a hard drive directory in original format, and then re-import them into my web gallery collection. The correct file size info is then available in the catalog, and the image reproduces correctly in the exported gallery.
I know (or at least hope) this is a kludge, and there is a more straightforward method to correct the catalog. I have many photos with incomplete image information.

how I can get the bolt type and sizes to show in the description of the item in a parts list when placed through Content Center! I would like the same with all fixings.
We have configured our own Content Center by copying standards and replacing the part number with our own reference number. This then shows the description as "Bolt" with no size etc.
Can Content Center be configured in a way to show sizes in description?

Among about a dozen ACAD users in my office, one is missing the "Arch D (landscape)" paper size that accompanies the PC3 file we generally use. I have checked that the roll size and other settings in the machine in question and all of that looks good. I don't want to edit this PC3 as it works for everyone else and don't want to create a new PC3 for this one user.

How do I get the recovery slider to show up in ACR? When I open an image there is no recovery slider under my exposure slider. When I open images previously edited in Photoshop Elements the slider appears in CS6 ACR. I want it there all the time as default.

want to a boder for each grid but the Grayscale slider prevails and all of the others sliders are off. I go to the color palette and click at the top right of the palette and a menu appears the with options like grayscale sliders, RGB Sliders, HSB slider, CMYK Sliders, Lab sliders, and HTML sliders the online one on is the Grayscale sliders after that all of them are off The layer menu is off completely, and some other features in the photoshop cs3, and when I go and save the file the GIF, JEGP and all other common formats are off, I can't save the file on those formats because psp, photoshop pdf and other that I am not interested on. I want gif, jegp etc. I have just realize that when I created a new documents I might put it in the grayscale mode only.What do you think about it guys I want to be able to apply boders and save it in gif, jepg and other common format

I like to do most of my color corrections using the color slider instead of the info window. Is there any plug in or can one make me a plug in where we can have more than one color slider dialog box? I hope to have two more more color sliders and open the curves and then click on more than one color like one color slider for the flesh tone and another color slider for a gray area. Its like the multiple eyedropper but instead of using the info box, it uses the color slider in real time.

I used to be able to hold down the Shift key and move all the sliders in the Color panel at the same time so that I could get a tint of the color I was working with. Now that doesn't seem to work. I've tried the Shift key, the Command key, the Option key and the Control key but nothing works. Is there still a way to move all the sliders at once so they maintain their relative positions? I'm working with the RGB Color panel window.

When I'm doing RGB retouch I'm often converting the image to CMYK just to use the Channel Mixer in that mode. I can never seem to get the hang of channel mixer in RGB to the same result, I guess I just understand CMYK plates better.
Is there any way of seeing the CMYK slider in RGB mode?
