I want to use my Ipad 2 to show people pictures that I have taken. I am not certain as to the best workflow for doing this. I store all my pictures on external hard drives and am hoping to avoid bringing processed photos onto my computer hard drive. I have done a search on the forum and have not seen a recommended work flow.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my watermark in Lighhtroom. I'm selecting 10 pictures to export and I'm selecting the watermark checkbox in the export dialog box. The watermark is only showing up on 4 out of the 10 pictures. I have tried the process a few times, but I keep getting the same result. I have tried exporting only one of the pictures that doesn't have a watermark and I get the same result.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI had LR 3 then upgraded to LR 4 and everything was fine. My hard drive crashed last week so had to have it replaced. my images were safe on my Drobo. I got my pc back today and am reinstalling all my software. I reinstalled LR3 then went to adobe and downloaded my upgrade to LR4. When I started LR4 it asked if I wanted to update all of my LR3 files so they would be compatible with LR4 and I said yes. I think that was my mistake. Now I can see all my old files but none of my images or folders from the time I upgraded to LR4 until now. How do I view all of my more current folders and images? I haven't moved any of them...they were all on my Drobo and are still there so it's not that I moved the files outside of LR.

Does it turn off any changes I made using that certain panel? What does it do?
Went to export a picture, entered the information, clicked " export" and Lightroom disappeared. Recovered it or so i thought. The title bar now reads "Ice caves 2014-Adobe Lightroom 3, and all my pictures are missing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI loaded some folders with my pictures. In Lightroom I developed some of it, others I did not. Now I want to export only those pictures which I developed. I know, I can manually select at the bottom line all pictures showing a +/- sign and the export them. This is quite a lot of work with my 800 pictures. Is it possible to tell Lightroom that it just selects and exports the developed pictures?

Sometimes the keywords move, but most of the time they do not. Why? Is there a secret, or is there something that needs to be done to assure that LR keywords move with the file into PSE 9.
View 8 Replies View RelatedTrying to export a photo and the screen with options on where to export to does not show but it IS there. I know this because everything on the screen is unclickable, kinda like being froze but it's not. If I hit enter it attempts to "burn to disc" which makes me believe that is just somehow inivisible? I thought I may have a virus when it tried exporting an image to Outlook but after other program tests and running virus protection software without hits i'm thinkin this must be a LR issue, I am currently using 4.1 64bit version.
My process - tried waiting it out with no results as well.
Right click image > Export... > No screen, clicking anything is disabled. > Hit enter and burns to disc
I have a Eizo ColorEdge monitor that is calabrated with a Spyder3 puck using Eizo's software. I shoot with a Sony A99 and A700 in RAW and use Lightroom 4.4. After editing I export using sRGB JPEGS. My pictures always look overly saturated orange.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running Lightroom 4.4 on Windows 7x64. I have heard that under preferences its better to uncheck the box that says "store presets with catalog" because it is better to have the presets not tied to and/or embedded in a specific catalog.
However, I noticed that whether the box is unchecked or checked, the presets are always stored in their own subfolder separate from the catalog. Specifically, if the box is checked the path is: "C: Drive"->Lightroom, if the box is unchecked the path is: "C: Drive"->Users->"username"->AppData->Roaming->Adobe->Lightroom. So the presets are not embedded in the catalog file in either case, they are just stored in subfolders in different places (albeit in one case it seems user specific and in another it seems global). So what is the real point of the "store presets with catalog" checkbox?
LR 3.6, Win 7 ultimate 64 bit. Yes, I am so afraid of all the talk I hear about LR 4 being slow (it DID slowed down from 2 to 3) that I still work in 3.6 It is no longer showing/updating my export presets (see left column). Whether I add folders from the OS or from withing LR, they are not visible. If I select them in FOLDER CHOOSE (see right side of the screen shot), then it will export them properly to the right folder but I have no way to UPDATE FOLDER WITH CURRENT SETTINGS.

The first import consisted of pictures from Trip 1 folder on my hard drive, the second import was from Trip 2 folder on hard drive. I see the Trip 1 and Trip 2 folders in LIghtroom 5, but am experiencing problems with emailing and exporting pictures, getting messages such as "Missing file" or "Export does not show up. View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been able to copy images in an indirect way (LR to an earmarked folder on my PC's hard drive, then to the iPad using Apple's I-Tunes). But editing and arranging images is fairly awkward.
There are LR functions to upload to some web sites, e.g., Flicker, but none to devices like the iPad. (Exporting to smaller sites such as Nikonians would be nice but I suspect there's not enough demand for Adobe to bother with this embellishment.
Is it likely that export functions will be expanded to include the iPad and other devices?

I have created slideshows that are linked through a URL to my website for several years now I have created them in 720p format and been able to veiw on my IPad 3, IPhone, Web etc. Recently however, they are not viewable - I get a play button with a slash through it. However, if I create a slideshow with the paremeters 960x540 it does work on the IPad 3. All these formats still work on my IPad 1, which makes me think it has something to do with the new OS?
