Photoshop :: Discrepancy In Display Speed Of Animated Gifts Viewing On IPad
Nov 14, 2013I am exporting animated gifts out of Photoshop and wondering why there is a discrepancy in the display speed of the animated gifts when viewing on an i pad compared to on the desktop.
Specifically the i pad displays the gift quite a bit slower than in the desktop. so something that views on the desktop in normal speed is slower than desired on the ipad and something at the desired speed on the i pad is super fast on the desktop.
Illustrator :: Color Shift In PDFs When Viewing On IPad
Oct 24, 2012what I need to do to my PDF to ensure color are some what close to original when saving a PDF in Illustrator or InDesign. Yes i understand iPad would be using a different coor management to a desktop computer but surely there is a way to get the colors, brightness closer to original?
I notice that when doing standard and high quality saves in PDF format, the saturation and brightness contrast changes quite a bit, but if I save the image as a jpg its a lot closer.
I was just browsing a car site which seems to be exeriencing a very similar situation with one of their PDFs. When viewing in iPad have a look at how bad this looks (its way too dark) but when viewing on a desktop machine its fine.

Is it just a matter of color proofing using a specific model and drawing back on blownout levels before outputting to PDF?

I store all my pictures on external hard drives and am hoping to avoid bringing processed photos onto my computer hard drive. May 12, 2013Adobe Photo shop elements is not user friendly. It is in fact the most difficult programme I have ever used.
I finally managed to watermark my files they have been saved but when I want to view them on my laptop in the normal windows view the thumbnail just shows the photo shop elements logo and I have to double click each file separately and they open in the edit programme. I want to open them and flick through my edited pictures without having to enter adobe photo shop elements and without having to open each one individually.

Jun 3, 2013After importing pictures from my digital camera in RAW format using Lightroom 4 it places them in my Pictures file on tghe hard drive. When I go to my Pictures file and try to open the photos i get the message: Photo Gallery Can't Open The Images Or Video Because The Format Isn't Supported Or You Don't Have The Latest Upgrade To Photo Gallery. Pictures from a small point & shoot work fine. I get the same results when importing using the camera Mfg's software.

Feb 26, 2013I know this is gonna be hard to believe after 4+ versions of LR, but, I just tried slideshow on the 4.4 RC and the timing issue which has been the bain of the slideshow module seems to have been adjusted. I have just tried 6-7 different slide shows, added music of various lengths, changed the fade durations, changed the type of music, source of music, and greatly varied lengths of music and it has actually worked in a manner that would be acceptable to view with a client in a face to face presentation. This includes using an intro and exit screen. I am using a mac with SnowLeopard. I will try this on a PC with Windows 7 Professional later today. You still can only use one soundtrack and make sure the sound track does not start or stop too abruptly, but what a big difference! I could not get it to mess up regardless of changes I made.

Jul 29, 2013I want to create some modules for a platform deck. The modules are made of C5x6.7 channels in one direction, L2x2x3/16 angle stiffeners in the other direction, and 3/16" deck plate on top.
My "drivable" parameters will be length and width.
The modules will all be different sizes, so I need to be able to have every instance of the assembly be different.
The workflow I was attempting to do before I got stuck was this:
1. Create a skeleton part (just a sketch) with Length and Width parameters.
2. Insert in an assembly and use frame generator to build the structural shapes (channels and angles)
3. Insert another part (the 3/16" plate) that can reference the length and width and adjust to be the correct module size.
Is there a way to make parts in an assembly all follow the same parameters? More importantly, can each instance of this assembly show up differently and be adjustable when I place these modules in my main assembly?
I don't know much about iParts - but it looks like an iPart lets you choose from predefined dimensions - I want something that I can custom input any size I need.

Nov 7, 2012When I copy a dynamic block, and then adjust one of the copies or the original, the other copies often get messed up/destroyed--odd shifts in the handles, lines moving out of kilter, etc.
Perhaps the following is the cause of the problem: when I copy a dynamic block, Autocad does not give the copy an original Anonymous Name. So I am left with a bunch of blocks with the same Anonymous Name. Perhaps this confuses Autocad.

Feb 26, 2013When I import CR2 files (Canon RAW) that have XMP files alongside them into my Lightroom 4 catalog, Lightroom correctly reads image adjustments from XMP files and assigns them as Develop settings for the newly imported photos. This is how I expected it to be. Lightroom assigns older process version to these files, as it should be.
One quick question I have though: once I imported all these CR2 files into my collection, is it safe to delete all those XMP sidecar files immediately? I assume that Lightroom stores all Develop settings in the catalog file at the moment of the import and that XMP sidecars are no longer necessary. Is that correct? Or do I have to enter the Develop mode with each imported file first, before deleting the XMP in order to make old settings to "stick"?

Nov 19, 2013I was sent an image from an i pad. It is only 320x240, 40kb and 72ppi. I tried in CS6 to enlarge it but anything over the initial image size is deeply blurred using Image or canvas in Image dropdown.
Can this be resolved to enlarge to 4x6, 5x7,8x10 with in CS6?

Photos edited in PSE12 and sent as jpegs to the ipad cannot be opened. Photos not edited in PSE12 can be opened. This needs fixing.

Sep 27, 2012I have been trying to mess with and target "tints" via javascript but either I am not understanding something or it cant be targeted as I had hoped, so I am looking for direction and guidance. I have a spot color assigned in the color swatches palette, and have drawn a few boxes on the page using this spot swatch. I then try to alter the tint using JS code.
sel[i].tint = // whatever number
alert(sel[i].tint) // This alerts fine
The alert shows a change taking place but it never gets applied to the item, the actual item never gets changed. I know things are properly targeted as I can change other attributes fine. When I look in the JS documentation it just shows for when creating a new spot, not for ones that already exist on items, I cant seem to find an example otherwise.
Can tint be adjusted for items on the page that have a spot color applied?
