Lightroom :: Editing Library From IPad?
Jul 19, 2013Any way to use my Ipad to make selects (flag for picks) of my lightroom library? I find a hard time believing there isn't already a solution for this.

Lightroom :: Editing In External Editor - Save Back As JPG - Add To Library
Jan 28, 2012I want to use external edit (in my case: Adobe Photoshop Elements) for editing features not available in LR3 (for example: skew) and easily save back as JPG. The source in LR3 is a DNG-image.
LR3 offers easy workflows out-to-external-editor>back-to-LR3 if you save back as TIFF or PSD.
But, I didn't find any easy or not extremely clumsy way to saving the edited photo back as JPG to LR3 and having it organized "close" to the original/source-DNG (preferably stacked).
Lightroom :: Web Gallery For IPad And IPhone?
May 14, 2012My current website has Flash-based galleries created in LR using SlideShowPro. I want to create an alternate web gallery for viewing on the iPad and iPhone. Any LR web gallery plug-in for this purpose? If possible, I'd like the gallery to work the way the iPhone Camera Roll works, but at very least, I'd like viewers to be able to simply flick their way through the images.SlideShowPro Director does this, but I'm not quite ready to take on its complexity.)

Lightroom :: Exporting Images From Directly To IPad
Jan 23, 2013I've been able to copy images in an indirect way (LR to an earmarked folder on my PC's hard drive, then to the iPad using Apple's I-Tunes). But editing and arranging images is fairly awkward.
There are LR functions to upload to some web sites, e.g., Flicker, but none to devices like the iPad. (Exporting to smaller sites such as Nikonians would be nice but I suspect there's not enough demand for Adobe to bother with this embellishment.
Is it likely that export functions will be expanded to include the iPad and other devices?

Jan 10, 2013These formats no longer show on my IPad 3 at one time they did. I have created slideshows that are linked through a URL to my website for several years now I have created them in 720p format and been able to veiw on my IPad 3, IPhone, Web etc. Recently however, they are not viewable - I get a play button with a slash through it. However, if I create a slideshow with the paremeters 960x540 it does work on the IPad 3. All these formats still work on my IPad 1, which makes me think it has something to do with the new OS?

I have edited the library and then when I tried to use a part from the library, the part is just pulled from Vault, hence not having the edits on it. I tried a part that hasn't been used before and it works ok. How can I force it to rebuild from the content center so I can save over the copy in Vault?

Our office has several people, working on several .ai files which all share symbols in common. We all know how to edit a local symbol and have it ripple through 1 document and change the artboards. We know how to save a library of symbols to share with others in the office. What we don't know is how to edit a symbol in that library and have it update everwhere.
If we can improve our process we can turn 1 day of work into 1 minute. I wish it worked like links in InDesign.

Nov 29, 2012I use a QNAP Network Attached Storage as the home for LR library so that a number of computers in the house can access the same files and various other DLNA clients can do slideshows on partcular directories if we want.
This is great when we are on our home network, but if I want to work on an image in LR while I am away from home I have to remember to make local copies (to my laptop HD) in advance.
I have a static IP and can access the required directories and files through a browser or VPN when I'm away from home. I was wondering if it's possible to give LR the web address of the directory I want to use as my library so that my photos are available to me anywhere so long as I have a web connection?

May 23, 2013I am considering moving to Adobe lightroom. Currently we have all our photos in iPhoto.My wife prefers to use Windows, but I like Mac. I have setup my iMac as dual boot and I will by an external SSD HD to hold all our photos and can be accessed by both mac and windows. Is it possible to be able to use Windows to work in Lightroom, and the next day boot into Mac and see the same library? Dec 18, 2013I have LR5 on my PC, with my 400GB NIKON RAW images on an external USB disk (NTFS). Library is on the PC. I shall now move the RAW images, with the edits, to my LR5 installation on a MAC Book Pro, with the images storred on an external thunderbolt MAC formatted disk.
I wonder what is the procedure for doing this, so i get the edits i have done, moved also to the MAC?
I guess i can export the library to the PC external disk, and then connect both the PC USB and the MAC thunderbolt disk to the MAC, and then just do a copy of the images. But how is the library going to get the knowledge of the images now storred on the MAC disk?

Feb 4, 2013I have moved some files around using Windows Explorer to split up some large file directories. LR3 sytill thinks the library is as it was bvefore the move and I cant seem to stop it.

Jan 8, 2013I'm new to the photography world and having a bit of trouble when using Lightroom.I have a new Olympus PEN EPL-5 and Lightroom 4.3 running on Windows7.
When I import RAW (.ORF) files they are dark in general, but when export them as JPG they are brighter, similar to what native JPG from the camera looks like. Then if I "correct" the ORF file in Quick Develop or Develop it becomes too light/bright/over-exposed.
Here on the left is the RAW file import with Develop Settings = "none" and to the right is an export to JPG color space "sRGB".Now if I adjust the RAW (.ORF) file in LR I can get it close to the JPG on the right above, but then when I export it, it becomes way too bright
why the RAW Library image is so far off from the exported JPG image?Obviously this "issue" makes using Lightroom very difficult as I can't tell how changes in LR will really turn out once exported.

Want to change the UI presentation of the stacks . Can stacks br ordered items like file name, attribute, etc. Looked at the LR3 PDF and it appears mute on the subject of stacking presentation order. Is this possible in LR3? Is it something new in LR4?

Dec 3, 2013I am using Lightroom 5.2 and only gray squares appear in the Library mode. How can I get my images to appear ? A couple of additional details are:
I have my images stored on external portable HD drives.
I have been successful using this set-up on a previous installlation of Lightroom 5.0.
