InDesign :: Command And Spacebar Not Allow To Draw Marquee Around The Zoom?
Mar 17, 2014Command and spacebar has always allowed me to draw a marquee around what i wanted to zoom. not now? what am i doing wrong in inDesign6?

Photoshop :: CS4 - Marquee And Zoom Tool Draw Random Boxes
Mar 28, 2012Bug in CS4 - when starting a new selection (Marquee Tool), random sized boxes will appear BEFORE dragging and releasing the mouse button to define a selection. The boxes will often extend from the first mouse click to an image edge, but it's unpredictable. I need to release the mouse button, deselect (left click), and then start over again. Once this behavior begins, it can recur repeatedly, making marquee selections VERY frustrating. It also occurs with the zoom tool.
I´m running Photoshop CS4 on a brand new Dell Latitude (integrated Intel graphics) on Windows 7. The CS4 is also a brand new installation. I´ve tried a couple of different mice and also disabling Open GL. I had the same issue on other laptops I used over the years but not on all of them.Actually there was a thread on this issue a while ago but it seems to be closed now and no satisfactory answer was provided. Photoshop :: Spacebar Will Not Move Marquee Selection
Jul 19, 2013I just downloaded the CC trial for photoshop, then started using the elliptical marquee tool but when I try to use the spacebar to move the selection the selection will only move a few pixels then wont move at all. Also i have the screen flickering problem.

Jul 17, 2010Since Inventor 2010, the spacebar has the functionality of repeating the last command. We have an add-in that requires typing a short phrase. (You can see where this is headed)
Whenever you use the spacebar to seperate the words in the phrase, a new addin form opens in front of the old one.
This add-in is employing the WordWrapper code that Brian submitted some time ago to clear up a similiar issue when you used the Enter key, but the spacebar problem persists
Is there a way to disable this funtion? Or work around it?

Nov 13, 2007I'm trying to figure out how to move from a line of text in Type tool mode to the Marquee [or any other tool, for that matter] by using a key stroke instead of having to select the new tool in the Tools palette. Hitting "m" just adds an "m" to my line of type.

Jan 15, 2013In CS4 I used the keyboard command, command+space bar, to zoom in to a area I selected with the marquee tool. I used this all the time. With CS6 the same keyboard command works differently. I don't have the option to select the area I want with the marquee tool. Is there a way to do it in CS6?

They are picking Circles or blocks in the drawing and I get the insertion point, then insert a new block. However, whenever they try and use a transparent zoom or pan to move around the drawing when the promptentityresult is hit, it zooms back to the original location.

Oct 27, 2011My lot top mouse is not working no more with the zoom in and out command. I dont have and external mouse other than the one is install from factory on my lot top comp. It was working perfect, but i think i click something by mistake. I only learn enough to draw in cad but when it comes up to problems like this i do not know what to do. I was trying to copy a table with chairs from and other file and when i pasted to my drawing something happen so my mouse is not zooming in or out in my drawing .

Dec 6, 2013when i work on geometry which is not in orthographic orientation i always prefer to create orthographic view of this, that's what i do :
Command : ucs
Command : z
Command : (selecting representative angled 2 points)
Command : plan
Command : c
than the whole zoom is lost , and i need to find again the portion , and save a view. i want to automate this process but before i automate it i want to know if there is a way to avoid zoom lost after executing the (plan) command?
AutoCAD 2010 :: Regen And Zoom Command Causes To Crash?
May 23, 2012This happens with a number of drawings, I believe all the files are very large approximately 8mb+. The issue is that by using the REGEN or the Zoom - Dynamic command, it will freeze AutoCAD. I will have to conduct a force shutdown than restart the program.
My question is; where do I start to determine what is the cause? Where do I find an error log?

Sep 4, 2012I loaded 2013 Civil 3D and I customized my Ribbon with Zoom Commands I use frequently; everything looked fine...I changed the Workspace to Planning & Analysis and cutomized my Ribbon to include the Zoom Commands but a Button Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT came up with a cloud & question mark. I went to look for the Icon Image & I don't see it. I made the mistake of changing the Icon to another hoping I could change it back but it's not there. I went to the 2012 verison & the Button Icon is there...first icon listed. Where are the icons in 2012 so I can drag & drop image into 2013?
The icon has a point symbol with a magnifying glass. I've checked other computers and the same thing. Can't find the Image Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT. It shows up when you load the software but if you want to edit it...it's not there in the CUI Button Icons.

Apr 26, 2009In CS4, holding the spacebar down when using another tool for panning does not work, in photoshop or anything else. Works fine when pan tool itself is selected. Very irritating behavior. I've used photoshop since v6, so I'm pretty use to the way it works. Same in Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy, and Acrobat.

May 2, 2013We're trying to draw a railing using the Revit railing command. The issue that's coming up is that we want the balusters to be placed outwards from the center (as in there's a post in the middle of the span) and the remainders at the end posts are whatever they end up being. One of the runs is small enough that the 5' baluster spacing is centered at the space (as if Revit insists on having at least a 5' space in there and it looks like this: | | | | ). What we've done for now is to tell it to space the balusters exactly the distance from center point to each end (like this: | | | ), but that means we'll have to make a new railing family for each run and that's very inefficient. Is there any way to specify what we mean by center justification?

Aug 2, 2013I'm using PS5 version 12.1 and I'm arranging a lot of layers so I do a lot of zooming and then hitting the space bar to move around. But 90% of the time I get kicked into birds eye view. And I know for a fact that the hotkey for Birds Eye View is 'H' This extra step of getting kicked into birds eye view whenever I want to pan is tossing a monkey wrench into my workflow.

Oct 14, 2012I've always used the spacebar as Enter, it speeds up the way i work.I've just load 2013 and i'm using the Drafting & Annotation workspace, now when i use the spacebar it jumps to another command, i have to use the enter key to get it to do what i want.For example.
Type H, (spacebar), S, (Spacebar).
This should be - Hatch > Select,
instead i get 'Hatch' then it cancels the hatch commands and jumps to 'Stretch'

Jan 8, 2013My keyboard has a zoom key with + and - selections. I use to use this key in drawings to zoom in and out when in the AutoCAD application when we had Windows XP. Now that I have Windows 7 I can't do this. I can't find out how to assign this key on the Microsoft Keyboard interactive software either. I have the other keys assigned as desired.
Can I still use my keyboard zoom key to zoom in and out in drawings? If so, how do I set this up in AutoCAD, or do I need to do this through a Microsoft keyboard application?

Feb 15, 2006I use Photoshop CS2 to create Designs for webpages. These designs have pixel-exact elements, e.g. a 1-pixel-line from top to bottom.
Now when I zoom in (>100, then I have sort of anti-alias, so that the 1-pixel-line isn't only one blue anymore, but it has different blue tones. I guess for photo manipulations etc. this anti-aliasing zoom is great, but for webdesign it sucks because I don't know if only the zoom make the line "corrupt" or if it really is corrupt.
Is there a way to change this zoom?

Apr 3, 2012The spacebar is no longer inserting a space between characters.
I tried switching from my wireless iMac keyboard to my wired Apple keyboard; replaced preference files; booted from several other partitions (that share the same Photoshop app); checked the character palette for kerning and tracking; and tried different fonts.
It may be that I have to trash the preference files and completely reset them... but I sure hope not.I've tried two backup preference files .
