 My illustrator CS6 short commands have stopped working. Any time I try to use any CMD + Key, illustrator will not react. This has been on going for a few months, I have tried resetting preferences but nothing has changed.

The error code is attached.
The error is 1325 "%username%" is not a valid short file name
I have followed the resolution steps found here: [URL]
They did not resolve the issues.
I found the workaround listed here: [URL]
This works, but I will need to create a batch script that will write these registry entries automatically, which my customer does NOT want to do... They just want it to work.
The only way I have found to resolve the issues is to create a script that copies the Local Admin registry entries to the currently logged in user.
This is a domain user without local administrator access to the machine.Â
They have 3 other users that are working with no issues.
When I try typing "L" for line and hit enter (space bar), then click the mouse to draw a line nothing happens. Â The command is active and the grips are active like the command is ready for me to click mouse to draw a line. Â Also, hitting the space bar again does nothing.

Now he is facing a problem that whenever he is working on that file some commands in AutoCAD 2007 like Extend and Trim is not working on existing lines and X-ref lines. And when i open that file into AutoCAD 2012 and 2013 then all commands are working.
when he create new line and try to use these commands then all commands are working but when he try these commands on existing lines and X-ref then commands are not working.

Deselect all as they seem to be unknown commands? (Quick select in properties does work) I have loaded my own profile (but have used the default profile aswell to check, still no joy)
If I am working in Autocad classic workspace and i will switch my workspace in 3d modelling, all the command (interface) that i brought inside the workspace will lost. How to prevent that?is there an option for this??
View 3 Replies View RelatedI drew a 30 degree wedge with rounded short side. Where the long sides meet at the acute angle, a sharp point forms. When I join three of these next to each other, I get a three-pointed overlap at the acute point instead of a smooth 90 degree turn. How do I eliminate the acute points? I am not able to control this using the handles--or I haven't figured it out yet.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have lost the use of the two transparent commands 'spe and 'sse. When I either click on the toolbar or type 'spe or '_spe in the middle of a command, they don't work like the other transparent commands. When I click on toolbar by itself, I get an error "Unknown comment "SPE". The other transparent commands say something like "PSE must be called from within another command".
Also, is the actual comment 'spe the command name or is it an alias. I was thinking that if I knew the command name, I could create another allias as a work around.
This is happening on multiple computers.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am new to Autocad, Everything was working fine until now...I can access a command via command line or menu or toolbar just fine, but although the command line prompts are working, the model space is not showing my lines, circles, rectangles etc. Nothing new is appearing on my model space. I am not sure what I accidentally changed. This is only true in this particular file, my other files are working fine.

'Ctrl + 1' is copy so if i have something selected it will go directly in to the copy command and allow me to pick a point.
but now its doing this.

witch makes me think its hitting enter twice that deselects what i had selected.
the macro in cui is as follows

is their some command set so it will stop doing that double enter? it just started doing it today. I have closed out autocad, restarted, made sure a key isn't stuck on my keyboard.
Most of my Command Line Commands have stopped working !!! I noticed when I wanted to mirror/flip an object, I could not get those Command Line commands to "expand". When I tried other Command Line commands under "Image", "Effects", etc, most of these would not work either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have loaded the Express Tools as here [URL] .... says. The Express Tools appear in my menu bar like normal, but when i try to do anything with any of them —FLATTEN, for instance— autocad does not recognize any.
I am running on Windows 8, Autocad Student Version language Spanish.
My draworder tool bar buttons and pull down commands are not working. Â I click on them and getÂ

This is the same issue for all of the draworder commands.
If I type draworder in the commande line I can get it to work. Â How do I restore my tool bar commands to get them to work?
1, the commands DO work if the text is confined to just ONE page, even if there are multiple linked text frames.
2, it's only the Copy command that doesn't work. Once copied, text does paste irrespective of the amount of text or linked pages.
And do I have to wait for 6.3 to get a resolution ? On Win 7, 64 bit
Working in 2013 Raster Design. The commands for raster tools are not working. When attempting to insert an image the following message appears:
c:program filesautodeskautocad raster design 2013aeciibui56.arx cannot find a dll or other file that it needs. Unknown command "IINSERT". Press F1 for help.
Similar messages appear when trying other commands located within the Raster Tools tab.
I find myself in the unfortunate position of having to resize a lot of text by one point size. So I wanted to find the key command for decreasing the text size by 1 point. I found several things online that worked... except they decrease it by TWO points. Not one. They are:

Both work... except they decrease the font by 2 point sizes. How can I make it go down only ONE point size?

PS I'm using CS4. And I can't select all the text because I need some of it to stay as is... while reducing the size of other text. Oh, and I'm on an iMac.

Can we place a custom menu and commands in Adobe Illustrator and invoke custom actions? The need for us is to call a C# DLL from these menu commands. I see C++ support but none on COM or NET support.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOpen a new document, file, import, click on the file filter type near the bottom right corner. The filter list begins with PPT (Powerpoint) and ends with XLS (Excel). There are 28 other file types between those two, all in alphabetical order from P to X.
All the file types from A to P are missing.
If I go to tools, customization, global, filters, in the list of active filters, they're all there (apprx. 60).Â
I need a short key for Invert I've searched for in the customizations but cannot find it. And alse a short key of "Add page frame" too

I have a project that comes and goes. It was actually started in Softdesk. Right now I'm working in Civil 3D 2012. I have an alignment that represents the left edge of pavement. Although I'm calling an offset alignment. It was created before they existed. So it's not linked to the centerline. There have been many changes to it over the past few years. Now it has a problem.
I wanted to edit in the Panorama. Right-click > Edit Alignment Geometry > select Alignment Grid View from the Alignment Layout Tools. When I went to the last segment in the Gird View, which was near where I wanted to edit, a segment about two thirds of the way along the Alignment was highlighted. Further investigation showed that although the whole Alignment would highlight when selected, all commands said the Alignment ended much sooner than the end station.
I've found that that alignment has been broken for quite a while but was intact at one time. My question is - What's the best way to repair/recreate it. I know I can explode it and create a replacement Alignment from the resulting entities. But is that the best way?
