Nov 4, 2012Just had to repair my installation, now I am unable to use any Civil 3D commands, anything with "AECC" in front of it is coming back with "unknown command"?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Transparent Commands SPE And SSE Not Working (2012)
May 25, 2013We have lost the use of the two transparent commands 'spe and 'sse. When I either click on the toolbar or type 'spe or '_spe in the middle of a command, they don't work like the other transparent commands. When I click on toolbar by itself, I get an error "Unknown comment "SPE". The other transparent commands say something like "PSE must be called from within another command".
Also, is the actual comment 'spe the command name or is it an alias. I was thinking that if I knew the command name, I could create another allias as a work around.
This is happening on multiple computers.

Aug 1, 2012My draworder tool bar buttons and pull down commands are not working. I click on them and get
Command: Unknown command "AI_DRAWORDER". Press F1 for help.
Command: Unknown command "FRONT". Press F1 for help.
This is the same issue for all of the draworder commands.
If I type draworder in the commande line I can get it to work. How do I restore my tool bar commands to get them to work?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Raster Design - Commands For Raster Tools Not Working
May 24, 2012Working in 2013 Raster Design. The commands for raster tools are not working. When attempting to insert an image the following message appears:
c:program filesautodeskautocad raster design 2013aeciibui56.arx cannot find a dll or other file that it needs. Unknown command "IINSERT". Press F1 for help.
Similar messages appear when trying other commands located within the Raster Tools tab.

Feb 26, 2013why is it that simple commands in paperspace like editing text/mtext, moving a single line or erasing objects so slow. it seems like it takes way to long to do simple editing. Makes me what to go back to model space sheet set up. I already did the changes to settings that someone posed "NEW Autocad Performance Tips". I notice a small performance enhancement but still very slow compared to paper space. this happened in files with one layout tab or 10.

I've tried repairing and re-installing Raster and nothing has changed.

Dec 2, 2011I am having an issue that appeared this morning when I woke up and turned my computer on... My AutoCAD 2012 (full) is locking up on certain things:
-When I select something without a command on (free selecting) it selects the items fine, but when I press the ESCAPE button to deselect everything there is a 1-2 second pause and then it deselects everything, instead of it instantly happening as it did for the past, oh I dunno, 10 years.
-If I select the items then type the command, normally it would instantly start that command with the items I had selected. Now, after selection items, when I type the command, it pauses for 1-2 seconds and the runs the command as usual.
-I am trying to edit an AutoCAD table, normally this is as smooth as butter. Now, not only are the same issues mentioned above happening, when I go to edit a cell, the typing has a 1-2 second delay and then starts. Once I start editing one box, it will move to the next cell smoothly. But if I click outside the box to end editing, there is a 1-2 second pause.
Last night, I randomly thought, "Oh, I'll run my McAfee virus scan because I haven't for a long time", literally I don't remember the last time I ran that. I also thought, "Oh, I might as well run the Dell PC Checkup scan", this is a factory program that came on the computer that again, I can not remember the lst time this was ran. Both scans went through Full Scans and found ZERO issues. The PC Checkup found one issue on an external hard drive that I use for BACK UP ONLY, I was not concerned with this because I figured it was either just an issue in the connection or between the 2 softwares. Also I wasn't concerned with it because if it does fail, it's a backup drive only anyway, so I'd just replace it.

Apr 3, 2013I am using autocad Architecture 2012. the other day it randomly stopped recognizing most commands. I cannot TRIM, CO, OFFSET, ect. all of the main ones. a couple things still work, If I need to draw a circle I can type D and still input diameter. But for all of the rest of those it says "Unknown Command, press f1 for help."

Aug 15, 2011Whenever I customize some keyboard commands, they always seem to reset after I close and re-open Inventor. I'm not quite sure how I could be missing something. I've gotten very use to these commands in previous versions. Once I setup my commands, I am able to use them for the session.

Apr 11, 2013When I try typing "L" for line and hit enter (space bar), then click the mouse to draw a line nothing happens. The command is active and the grips are active like the command is ready for me to click mouse to draw a line. Also, hitting the space bar again does nothing.

Now he is facing a problem that whenever he is working on that file some commands in AutoCAD 2007 like Extend and Trim is not working on existing lines and X-ref lines. And when i open that file into AutoCAD 2012 and 2013 then all commands are working.
when he create new line and try to use these commands then all commands are working but when he try these commands on existing lines and X-ref then commands are not working.

'Ctrl + 1' is copy so if i have something selected it will go directly in to the copy command and allow me to pick a point.
but now its doing this.

witch makes me think its hitting enter twice that deselects what i had selected.
the macro in cui is as follows

is their some command set so it will stop doing that double enter? it just started doing it today. I have closed out autocad, restarted, made sure a key isn't stuck on my keyboard.

AutoCad :: Macro Commands From Version 2000 To Version 2012?
Nov 15, 2013I have recently upgraded to ver 2012 from ver 2000. I have numerous macros that were written for the older version that I need to utilize in ver 2012. I manually recreated them in the new version by typing in the commands from ver 2000. As I expected I am getting errors when I try to run these macros in Ver 2012. The mlayer command, for example, does not work. I am pretty sure I need to use the -layer command and have tried this but I still get errors. While I am relatively proficient in ver 2000 I am having some trouble finding commands in ver 2012 that match the old version. Below is an example of a macro from ver 2000 as well as my attempt to rewrite it in ver 2012.

I was wondering if there was a list anywhere that outlines what different characters mean to the fillter? What I mean is... I know that ~*|* excludes xfref layers because ~ means 'not' and * means "anything" and | is the character we are looking for. But what are all the other things that filters understand?

Cannot use UNDO on command line because I have to enter the command many, many times to ever undo anything.
I therefore use the UNDO pull-down in the quick access toolbar; however, a few simple zooms and/or pans using the mouse wheel results in many, many (it seems like hundreds of them) "Group of Commands" items. I have to work my way back through (that is highlighting) many of these to ever get back far enough to undo something simple like an erase of an object. It works like this even if the erase (or whatever) was the last command issued--besides zooming and panning.
The mouse wheel zooming and panning seems to be what is adding all of the "group of commands" listings in the undo list. I must say this seems like a terrible bug in the software to me.
Combine zoom and pan IS checked under user preferences of options.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Commands Won't Execute Properly?
Jul 2, 2013My program crashed and upon restarting it some settings have changed. The biggest change is that I am unable to select objects and then execute a command. What the program is doing is when I select the objects I want a particular command executed, it will de-select all of the object and then execute the command. I then will have to reselect my objects. This makes deleting line work a little mor inconvenient. What setting is this and where can I change it back.

Dec 4, 20121, the commands DO work if the text is confined to just ONE page, even if there are multiple linked text frames.
2, it's only the Copy command that doesn't work. Once copied, text does paste irrespective of the amount of text or linked pages.
And do I have to wait for 6.3 to get a resolution ? On Win 7, 64 bit
