I am using autocad Architecture 2012. the other day it randomly stopped recognizing most commands. I cannot TRIM, CO, OFFSET, ect. all of the main ones. a couple things still work, If I need to draw a circle I can type D and still input diameter. But for all of the rest of those it says "Unknown Command, press f1 for help."
View 3 RepliesAs the title says, when several commands are entered very rapidly, i.e. zoom + extents (z+e), AutoCAD doesn't seem to recognise the second command. I believe there was a command that I came across a while back that adjusted the time delay between entered commands but I am unable to remember or locate it.
Any way to decrease the minimum time between entered commands?
As of yesterday, my lightroom no longer recognises the raw files from my Nikon D7000. It won't import them. Not sure why as it worked fine prior to then.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm having strange things go on with Paint Shop Pro. One, it stopped automatically recognizing the camera when I plug it in to upload new photos. Now I have to tell it to open the camera, and, even if I have 100 old photos and 25 new ones, it uploads all of them again! Second, the file names have changed for the photos. They've always been the date "20132713_*.jpg". Now it opens them as "001.jpg, or 002.jpg, etc. How can I get it to go back to opening with the date as the file name.....and recognizing the camera and automatically open new photos in the camera?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using Architecture 2013 for a while now, but now there is what I beleve to be a configuration issue. Essentially, ACAD loads,but does not recognise any AEC components. The tool pallette no longer has an icon to add a wall, for example. If I load an older drawing that has a wall in it, and select the wall, the Properties window says it is a wall, but none of the blue grips is visible. Right clicking does not give the option to "Edit Wall Style" for example. It behaves as though it does not know what an Architecural element is. If it type "WALLADD" at the command line, it says ""Unknown Command".
The company I purchased it from initially had me do a "repair", then a "reinstall" and then a "Clean reinstall". All of which I have done.
I am trying out autocad 2012 for mac. I can't find the 3d commands like I could on the windows version. I don't know if it because of the new 2012 version but I can't find the tool pallettes for the 3D tools.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue that appeared this morning when I woke up and turned my computer on... My AutoCAD 2012 (full) is locking up on certain things:
-When I select something without a command on (free selecting) it selects the items fine, but when I press the ESCAPE button to deselect everything there is a 1-2 second pause and then it deselects everything, instead of it instantly happening as it did for the past, oh I dunno, 10 years.
-If I select the items then type the command, normally it would instantly start that command with the items I had selected. Now, after selection items, when I type the command, it pauses for 1-2 seconds and the runs the command as usual.
-I am trying to edit an AutoCAD table, normally this is as smooth as butter. Now, not only are the same issues mentioned above happening, when I go to edit a cell, the typing has a 1-2 second delay and then starts. Once I start editing one box, it will move to the next cell smoothly. But if I click outside the box to end editing, there is a 1-2 second pause.
Last night, I randomly thought, "Oh, I'll run my McAfee virus scan because I haven't for a long time", literally I don't remember the last time I ran that. I also thought, "Oh, I might as well run the Dell PC Checkup scan", this is a factory program that came on the computer that again, I can not remember the lst time this was ran. Both scans went through Full Scans and found ZERO issues. The PC Checkup found one issue on an external hard drive that I use for BACK UP ONLY, I was not concerned with this because I figured it was either just an issue in the connection or between the 2 softwares. Also I wasn't concerned with it because if it does fail, it's a backup drive only anyway, so I'd just replace it.
We have lost the use of the two transparent commands 'spe and 'sse. When I either click on the toolbar or type 'spe or '_spe in the middle of a command, they don't work like the other transparent commands. When I click on toolbar by itself, I get an error "Unknown comment "SPE". The other transparent commands say something like "PSE must be called from within another command".
Also, is the actual comment 'spe the command name or is it an alias. I was thinking that if I knew the command name, I could create another allias as a work around.
This is happening on multiple computers.
Whenever I customize some keyboard commands, they always seem to reset after I close and re-open Inventor. I'm not quite sure how I could be missing something. I've gotten very use to these commands in previous versions. Once I setup my commands, I am able to use them for the session.

When I select a command such as the wall or door command. The command starts then exits out before I can draw anything.
I can't see the area where I write commands any more, may be a configuration thing because never happened to me before.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have AutoCAD Architecture 2011. By default, our profile does not load the AEC commands. I am looking for a way to enable them in session. Short of this I am looking for what controls them.
We have a custom CUI that loads, it was created from the default AutoCAD one. If I switch to the AutoCAD Architecture profile while in AutoCAD the AEC commands do not become active. If I launch AutoCAD from a shortcut that specifies AutoCAD Architecture profile then the AEC commands do load. I have tried loading the AECARCHXOE cui as a partial CUI in our custom CUI but that does not load the ARC commands (either in session or as a new session)
what controls weather the AEC commands load?
When I give keyboard commands to open, save or save as the program freezes. Pulldown menu to open and save work fine but pulldown save as freezes and freezes when using commands on "A". Happening in 2009 also. Same thing happened yesterday, repair did not fix it, so uninstalled and reinstalled and all was fine. Now today freezing again.
Had a blue screen message yesterday when I turned on the computer, bad spooler something. Are these problems related or just a coincidence? Using Windows XP. Autocad is up to date as is Windows.
I am unable to use pull down menu commands, for example when I want to save as, I have to type it manually in the command menu...to open a file I have to type the file name at command line..
when I click save as or any other command from the pull down menu, it does not work, the command line apprars at the buttom of the drawing asking me to manually make an imput...
finally I got my express tools ribbon but a lot of commands are missing....REDIR for example....
Don't tell me to reinstall AutoCAD Architcture because I already did it twice!

I also tried the menuload and the appload command but won't load every single lisp routine
from the express folder...can you imagine how many lisp routines the Express Folder has....
AutoCAD Architecture hasn't got such problems with Express Tools.....
I have a model with 5 reference drawings. Everything has been going fine. I am making modifications in 2d wireframe view Then I change to realistic view and conceptual view and see that half of my windows have disappeared and some doors. I open up the first floor plan and see that most of my windows, doors, and openings are not cutting the walls. It just happened and now I cannot get them to anchor in the wall.I did purge, -purge R, audit, recover and closed and reopened the program. No Change! What could have caused all of these objects to lose their anchor?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded to ver 2012 from ver 2000. I have numerous macros that were written for the older version that I need to utilize in ver 2012. I manually recreated them in the new version by typing in the commands from ver 2000. As I expected I am getting errors when I try to run these macros in Ver 2012. The mlayer command, for example, does not work. I am pretty sure I need to use the -layer command and have tried this but I still get errors. While I am relatively proficient in ver 2000 I am having some trouble finding commands in ver 2012 that match the old version. Below is an example of a macro from ver 2000 as well as my attempt to rewrite it in ver 2012.

Revit 2012 stopped running for user with admin rights 100% of the times. Computer is 64 bit 4 core processor 8 logical cores and 8.0GB ram.If I right click on the Revit icon and select "Run as Administrator" will will launch 50% of the time and runs OK.

I have a number of drawings of our facilities that have been added to and revised over the years prior to having an established standard. Most of the drawings are in 2d (lines, hatches, etc.) but portions of the the newer projects were done partially in ADT/ACA (walls, doors, windows, etc.). I need to strip out the 3D information and convert to 2D for an application we will be using. Is there an easy way to do this?
I have done the Save As, Export to, and AECOBJECTEXPLODE routes but all leave 3d faces that can't be exploded any furher. I don't wan't want to use hidden line projection as that creates a very large drawing as all hatches are converted to individual lines.
One of the users in my office is getting the "AutoCAD cannot continue" error in AutoCAD Architecture 2012. I've read a few of the discussions concerning this issue in earlier versions.

The problem is that Acrobat Reader X is installed on my computer. I saw the thread about Reader X having spooling issues, so I reinstalled Acrobat Reader 9. Still get the same message.I can go to the file afterwards and open it, despite this message, but it is supposed to open from Architecture after it is plotted and it won't do that.

I recently changed the path for the autosave-folder as it intruded my private work files. The problem is that even though I did change the path, every time I start AutoCAD a new 'Autodesk'-folder is created in my personal folder. It still contains the sub-level 'Autosave'.

I don't see a tag option and searching for the option on the help menu has resulted in zero hits. Does AutoCad 2012 not offer this feature or am I looking in the wrong location?
