After installing Update 2.1 for Civil 3D, Raster doesn't seem to be working. When I go to use a Raster function, I get
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x01b8 Exception at 6e545df5h.
I've tried repairing and re-installing Raster and nothing has changed.
Working in 2013 Raster Design. The commands for raster tools are not working. When attempting to insert an image the following message appears:
c:program filesautodeskautocad raster design 2013aeciibui56.arx cannot find a dll or other file that it needs. Unknown command "IINSERT". Press F1 for help.
Similar messages appear when trying other commands located within the Raster Tools tab.
I've been trying to get the Raster Design Object Enabler for Civil 3D 2011 64 Bit to install, but every time I run the exe it says there is no target application to be found, even though Civil 3D 2011 64 Bit is quite clearly installed on the machine.

Prior to that, the linetype as seen in the attached screen short displayed the same for both the alignment style (green) and the polyline (white). After 2.1, they display at different scales. Why? There now seems to be a problem with linetype scaling in the style definitions.
The same linetype is used in the alignment style as is assigned to the polyline. The scale is the same for both (in the alignment style definition and as assigned to the polyline).
The only thing that changed is that on Friday morning, I installed the update 2.1 and this is what things looked like in existing model files when I opened them that displayed correctly when I went home on Thursday. Open this file on my computer and it displays according to the attached screen shot. Open the exact same file on another team member's computer and they display at the same scale.
Any way to transform/rubbersheet a photo/raster so it sticks to a wall i.e. vertically and not just doing it 2D. Trying to digitise photo's taken of walls to work in a 3d model.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have one user with AutoCAD Design Suite 2013. She is unable to run any of the Raster design commands.The Ribbon is loaded but commands are not working (unknown command).
AutoCAD as such runs fine.
I've been trying to update a client menu and I've gotten most things figured out. They have a fairly elaborate routine set up to make sure our drawings work with their document control system as well as raster design. We are using AutoCAD 2011 and the menu's were meant for 2008.
Everything seems to run well except at this sub module and every time I load a raster drawing with a TIF the routine error's out at the line in Red below. I've tried everything I can think of to keep the routine running, and I want to refrain from just remarking it out, which seems to do the trick, but I do not want to do that unless it's for some other purpose. I just need to get their menus to work on newer versions of AutoCAD.

Is there a way to permanently attach a raster to a .dwg? I want to publish a large set of drawings on our Intranet and some have rasters attached.
I don't need to worry about links to references and how to post them so as not to break the link.
inserting a Tiff image into a dwg file with Raster Design 2011. I have a image scanned at 400dpi and the image is a good quality image, some of the text is small be legible. When I insert the image with the imageattch command the image seems to gain pixels therefore causing some text to become unreadable. I've used the bitonal filter but then I lose some resolution. Is it normal for the TIFF image to appear more dense when brought into an Autocad drawing? If so is there a way to adjust the image to look more like the scan?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have lost the use of the two transparent commands 'spe and 'sse. When I either click on the toolbar or type 'spe or '_spe in the middle of a command, they don't work like the other transparent commands. When I click on toolbar by itself, I get an error "Unknown comment "SPE". The other transparent commands say something like "PSE must be called from within another command".
Also, is the actual comment 'spe the command name or is it an alias. I was thinking that if I knew the command name, I could create another allias as a work around.
This is happening on multiple computers.
why is it that simple commands in paperspace like editing text/mtext, moving a single line or erasing objects so slow. it seems like it takes way to long to do simple editing. Makes me what to go back to model space sheet set up. I already did the changes to settings that someone posed "NEW Autocad Performance Tips". I notice a small performance enhancement but still very slow compared to paper space. this happened in files with one layout tab or 10.

We frequently create PDF files using the DWGtoPDF.pc3 . We have a lot of drawings with a raster background image. In version 2010 I could create a PDF and the raster image would show up. We recently upgraded to Map 3D 2012 and although the raster shows up in the preview, it does NOT get plotted to the PDF.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am in the process of creating 2 lisp routines, one that loads Support file search paths on the network and one that adds support file search path locally. Each routine will be run depending on the ability of ACAD to find a file on the server. I noticed that when I add the new directories the default AutoCAD folders get replaced. I researched this and found that using the SETENV and ACAD I can include the default support paths.
The issue I am running into is that not all default folders are being added to AutoCAD when I used the ACAD variable. A plugin folder under Program Data is listed in the original install, but it is not listed when I add my directories and used the ACAD variable to add the default directories. The same thing happens when raster design is installed. The help folder and the install directory for raster are not carried over when using the ACAD variable.
I am attaching the coding for the lisp routine adding server paths. Is there some syntax I can add to tell it to append to the list instead of replacing the SFSP list?

I have successfully draped an orthophoto over a DEM in Map3D but the resulting quality of the the image is so poor it is unusable. I have attached a couple screen shots of the 2D and resulting 3D images. Is the resolution in 3D dependent on the 'resolution' of the DEM? The orthophoto is 10cm resolution.
I have tried REGEN and to Resample Raster but I haven't had any luck.
I've rebooted, re-installed and nothing changes the fact that when i try and insert a raster image the program locks right up.
I can go back 2009 version and have no problems inserting the same raster. The raster is a Mr.Sid format file
I am facing the following problem in Autocad 2012:
I have set all the drawings I want to print in the Sheet Set Manager and I publish everything to plotter for unattended plotting. However, when publishing the same drawings to PDF using the SSM, all raster images do no print. If I open each drawing and plot the same layout on its own, everything prints just fine. So I think there is something wrong when publishing through the SSM.
The funny thing is that before using Autocad 2012 I was using version 2010 and everything worked as expected, the raster images were printed no matter where I was printing from.
I am working on a project that requires a number of raster images to be compiled in a base file and then x-ref'ed into titleblock sheets. The base file is not giving me any problems but the files it is x-ref'ed into keep giving me fatal errors and shutting down AutoCAD. I am working in 2012 LT. I was able to find a HotFix for this problem for 2008 but have not been able to find a fix for my version.

However you can place another base view of the same system from a different perspective and that view will solve out.
In the attached image the view on the left will not finish updating while the view on the right solve out rather quickly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo 2011 had some issue and I though 2012 would get those fixed. I was wrong. More problems occur. With 2011 I was able to open assemblies directly through vault. Now with 2012, since the vault issue updates as it opens, I crash on any sizeable model or assembly. So now just to open a file, I must get it, then go to inventor and open it, and hit no when the refresh window come up. If I hit yes, it crashes. If I hit no it open, then if i hit local/global update it crashes. So technically I cant do any new work with any of my larger assemblies (2000+ parts) I have sent out numerous error reposrt, only for autodesk to say that they can replicate the problem. I have SP1 installed, and this is happening with other users at my company as well.

When i am using 3dsmax design 2012, it always display "error creating BMP" after click RENDER button. I must reduce the resolution so that i can render. How can I solve that ? Is it related to RAM or Display card ?
