Deselect all as they seem to be unknown commands? (Quick select in properties does work) I have loaded my own profile (but have used the default profile aswell to check, still no joy)
When I try typing "L" for line and hit enter (space bar), then click the mouse to draw a line nothing happens. The command is active and the grips are active like the command is ready for me to click mouse to draw a line. Also, hitting the space bar again does nothing.
I have loaded the Express Tools as here [URL] .... says. The Express Tools appear in my menu bar like normal, but when i try to do anything with any of them —FLATTEN, for instance— autocad does not recognize any.
I am running on Windows 8, Autocad Student Version language Spanish.
The answer to this post is not the pickfirst variable. I select text, a line, anything really then right click, copy and nothing it loses the selection set and waits for me to now select something. I know it sounds like pickfirst, but pickfirst is set to 1.
2013 Autocad vanilla. All service packs and updates.
In the properties and quick properties dialog box the drop down box that shows diffrient arrowhead types to choose from have disappeared, and is blank.
When I select a hatch or polyline or any object with grips for that matter, and hold down shift to select multiple grips on the object or objects and then press my middle mouse button to pan or scroll it to zoom, the grips that I have selected de-select, meaning I have to set up the view so that all the grips I want to move are visible before selecting them.
This is only happening on some drawings (although it is most of them) and only when I use 2012 not 2011. Which system variable it is that has gone screwy that I need to reset? or is it something else?
Just had to repair my installation, now I am unable to use any Civil 3D commands, anything with "AECC" in front of it is coming back with "unknown command"?
My Client save AutoCAD 2012 file into AutoCAD 2002. Now he is facing a problem that whenever he is working on that file some commands in AutoCAD 2007 like Extend and Trim is not working on existing lines and X-ref lines. And when i open that file into AutoCAD 2012 and 2013 then all commands are working.
when he create new line and try to use these commands then all commands are working but when he try these commands on existing lines and X-ref then commands are not working.
If I am working in Autocad classic workspace and i will switch my workspace in 3d modelling, all the command (interface) that i brought inside the workspace will lost. How to prevent that?is there an option for this??
We have lost the use of the two transparent commands 'spe and 'sse. When I either click on the toolbar or type 'spe or '_spe in the middle of a command, they don't work like the other transparent commands. When I click on toolbar by itself, I get an error "Unknown comment "SPE". The other transparent commands say something like "PSE must be called from within another command".
Also, is the actual comment 'spe the command name or is it an alias. I was thinking that if I knew the command name, I could create another allias as a work around.
We are working in AutoCAD 2010 and the keyboard shortcut commands are not working for one of our users. we are having difficulty getting it back online for her. we tried a menu load for the acad.pgp file and it isn't working .
I am new to Autocad, Everything was working fine until now...I can access a command via command line or menu or toolbar just fine, but although the command line prompts are working, the model space is not showing my lines, circles, rectangles etc. Nothing new is appearing on my model space. I am not sure what I accidentally changed. This is only true in this particular file, my other files are working fine.
is their some command set so it will stop doing that double enter? it just started doing it today. I have closed out autocad, restarted, made sure a key isn't stuck on my keyboard.
AutoCAD Map 2010 has just been installed in my PC and since i first runned AC the command line, menu browser and key commands don´t work. This way I can´t do anything.
In PS CS5 Extended latest version. I select all, then go to Select|Modify, and all choices are grayed out other than border. This is an 8 bit RGB image. The layer is selected. I also tried flattening it. I also tried creating a new image, RGB 8 bit depth. Also 16 bit. Nothing works.
I double checked CS3 and this works in CS3, but not CS5.
I am trying to find a way to assign keyboard shortcuts for different selection sets functions/commands.
I failed to find selection set commands in customize user interface menu. seems that they named it in a manner so that people cant find them when they simply look for "selection" or "set" or "create selection set" or "make selection set" .
what I need is:
1. when I select a group of objects I want to make them a selection set with one keyboard shortcut. (to go to the sets menu window and press that "create a selection set" button is too time consuming. I am also aware that just writing a letter to the selection sets dialog creates a set but still I want that shortcut.)
2.select an object and immediately jump to the whole selection set with a keyboard shortcut. or toggle through selection sets.
3.delete the active selection set with one keyboard shortcut.
are these functions available as native commands in customize user interface?should I go looking for a maxscript ?
Any way to turn off HUD during commands? Seems to pop up right where I want to select geometry. I came across something about it for 2012 not being an option to turn it off but may be one for 2013
I don't know what I did but all the sudden my ribbons are gone, and after a day of research I found that I can type in RIBBON and it will appear. The only problem is I cannot find a solution docking the ribbon horizontally as it was when my program was installed.
is there a 1800 # for questions or just discussion groups?
My computer has started freezing (busy spinning wheel) between each command or button click that I do on AutoCAD. The lag time started at 5 sec between each command, which was annoying, but now has increased on complex drawings to up to 45 seconds between anything I touch. I work with 3D models and it's has gotten to the point where I cannot get any work out. I've turned off and on paging, turned off network connections, turned off properties and nothing seems to work.
How to get a list of commands and variables in AutoCad 2013. In the past I always got that from the help files, but it seems now that I cannot find in the help files in this new version of AutoCad 2013.
My illustrator CS6 short commands have stopped working. Any time I try to use any CMD + Key, illustrator will not react. This has been on going for a few months, I have tried resetting preferences but nothing has changed.
I just had to replace my desktop computer, reinstalled AutoCad, set it up using a saved profile, everything was working fine until this morning when I came in and most of my buttons on the toolbars return "Unknown Command". Now even when I type in the command on the command line it doesn't recognize the commands. ie _layfrz Unknown command "LAYFRZ) I've gone in and "repaired" the program, shut down the computer for a full restart, to no avail.
I have one user with AutoCAD Design Suite 2013. She is unable to run any of the Raster design commands. The Ribbon is loaded but commands are not working (unknown command).

I use the right mouse click command as my enter. But for the past couple of days when I try to use the move, copy, stretch commands, everytime I go to select a base point - autocad selects the point and then automatically snaps or displaces to a random point off of the screen. I don't know if this has something to do with the right mouse click or not, but I can't figure out why it keeps snapping off screen. If I switch and use the enter key or space bar as enter the problem goes away.
examples:
Command: s STRETCH Select objects to stretch by crossing-window or crossing-polygon... Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 13 found Select objects: Specify base point or [Displacement] <Displacement>: Specify displacement <0'-0", 0'-0", 0'-0">:
Command: m MOVE Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 43 found Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 27 found (14 duplicate), 56 total Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 18 found (14 duplicate), 60 total Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 14 found (4 duplicate), 70 total Select objects: Specify base point or [Displacement] <Displacement>: Specify displacement <0'-0", 0'-0", 0'-0">:
As the title says, when several commands are entered very rapidly, i.e. zoom + extents (z+e), AutoCAD doesn't seem to recognise the second command. I believe there was a command that I came across a while back that adjusted the time delay between entered commands but I am unable to remember or locate it.
Any way to decrease the minimum time between entered commands?
