In the properties and quick properties dialog box the drop down box that shows diffrient arrowhead types to choose from have disappeared, and is blank.
View 4 RepliesI am having trouble with getting the quick properties box to display. I have turned the feature on at the bottom taskbar, and tried Ctrl+Shift+P, and changed settings so that it displays to the top-right of the cursor, but I get nothing when I select any object. It used to work on 2012 but not now.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I select any object, my quick properties tab is blank and my properties tab doesn't register anything. Also, I get an error message when I go into my CUI to try to modify the quick properties tab. Pretty frustrating. I've attached a couple of images for reference. I've repaired, re-installed and unistalled and re-installed and still have the same probelm.

I finally got some Lisp scripts working. They generate a block library from a CSV file. The script reads the file, and generates a simple rectangular block based on dimensions on the line. I have another script that can read a csv of block names and values, and add these as attributes to the block.
The attributes added are simple, like "weight" and "max stack qty". I would like to be able to see these values in the properties tab or in quick properties. In my CUI I have "Display Custom Attributes" checked under "block reference".
However, when I select a block, no attributes show up. I can get it to show me things like "name" and all of the scaling values, just no attributes.
I have autocad running on my partitioned mac and I have just created a multileader style with Datum triangle filled as the arrowhead symbol. In the view panel the symbol looks correct, but when I select the multileader with this datum style and add it to my drawing it appears as an unfilled triangle!

Also my elevation carmera is not showing when i click on a new drawing. In a previous drawing all walls selection type is there and the elevation camera. Only when i start a new drawing when wall type and elevation camera is missing. I check the interface to make sure the boxes are check.

View 9 Replies View RelatedHave recently upgraded to 2014 and can no longer get the AREA of a closed polyline in quick properties. It is no longer an option when customising the quick properties information. I know you can measure area in a number of ways but it was very handy to click on a closed polyline and have the area of that object come up in the Quick Properties window.

I'm having a minor issue with Autocad 2013 at the moment. I use the Quick Properties box to change a lot of my object properties, but since changing from 2012 to 2013, I have noticed QP doesn't recognise the selection of any objects.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWith QP activated, if I select an object (say an alignment or profile view) on the screen and want to pick its GRIP, I have to click the screen FIRST to get focus back to the drawing window (so two clicks). The same applies to the contextual Ribbon, it takes two clicks to 'press' a ribbon button if QP is activated.

I've found several people that had this problem through searching, but none of the fixes worked for me. I'm unable to use the quick select feature as it does not list anything other than "multiple". I've tried different files, different selections, repaired the installation, complete reinstall, updated with SP1 and hotfix 3 to no avail. I also have Autocad 2007 with SP 1 installed, as well as Autocad Architecture 2014, if that makes a difference.
The Quick Selection Tool (QST) was working fine. Used the Lasso Toll and when I tried to use QST again it stopped working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with quick select not working properly in 2013 when I am cleaning up X-Refs selecting hatcing or anything else it does not just delete what I am tring to select it just deletes everything. If I go back to any prevous version of AutoCAD it works fine the only solution i can think of is to reinstall.

Some options like height, width, etc. are shown, but not layer, style, etc. from the General portion of the Basic tab.
Is this going to be a reinstall scenario or is there a fix for this?

I have just recently downloaded InDesign CC (I use Mac OSX.9.2) and got the World Tools plugin to typeset in different languages.
However, I am having trouble using the selection and type tools. In about the first half of the file, the type tool displays the pointer/dashed box/I-beam icon and doesn't put the cursor in the text when I click on it. I can't click to select text as I should be able to, and if I try to click and drag, all I do is end up creating another text frame. But in about the second half of the file, the selection and type tools work the way they should.
When I click and hold on the type tool, the cursor changes to the crosshairs icon for creating text frames and the "W: H: " dialogue box for text frames appears.
How can I get the tools to work properly in the entire document?
Is it possible to position a button on the Open dropdown of the Quick Access Toolbar?

I am having an issue with the Properties Manager in AutoCAD 2013 LT.
When a single object is selected, the dropdown appears blank and the properties displayed are just the default drawing properties that are displayed when nothing is selected.I am unable to view/modify any object's (line, hatch, etc) properties.
My PICKFIRST variable is set to 1. This happens on any file I open with 2013 LT but does not when the same file is opened with 2007 LT. I have also reinstalled/repaired the program through the control panel. I am at a complete loss.
I want to add a text height chart to a dropdown menu in the Quick access bar.
I have the Dropdown made but forget how to add the chart.
as the subject states, at some point (I believe after uninstalling autodesk 360), our properties tool pallete will not populate info for the selected object. is there a fix other than re-installing from scratch? The installation fixer didn't work, and I've had to re-install twice now for other issues with the software, so it's getting very costly/time consuming to just re-install for these problems.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI run fbxexport from the file pulldown, and it does not ask me to select objects, and says none of the objects in the drawing can be exported.
I type the command and it works fine.This was mentioned in past posts on 2012.
I am thinking it has something to do the the bug where 2014 could not export shape files, so you had to get a new providers.xml.
My IMX-Export command is also acting funny where it does not ask a filename to export, it uses the current dwg name.

The answer to this post is not the pickfirst variable. I select text, a line, anything really then right click, copy and nothing it loses the selection set and waits for me to now select something. I know it sounds like pickfirst, but pickfirst is set to 1.

This is for CS4. I want to apply two arrowheads of different sizes to one end and the other end of a line. This is not possible with CS4 under "Add Arrowhead" where the size of the arrowhead (Scale) applies to both the Start and End arrowheads.Illustrator allows to apply several instances of an effect to an object. So I apply one instance of "Add Arrowheads" for the Start end with a given arrowhead Scale (size of arrowhead), and another instance of "Add Arrowheads" for the other End with a different Scale. The second "Add Arrowheads" instance of the effect does not behave at all as expected (it adds two "disfigured" arrowheads even though I ask for one arrowhead only).How can I use two working instances of "Add Arrowheads" to reach my goal?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to edit the default arrowhead. I know how to create custom-arrows, etc. but I want the versitility of having arrow heads on many layers, not the zero layer or any other layer that the arrow block-definition is on; and I do not want to use the pointed arrow.
Where may I edit the arrow, or substitute my own; and in what format is it in?
Would like to know if it is possible to access properties of Hole features through iLogic and create my own selection dropdown for holes on a form, similar to the dropdown I was able to create by accessing materials iProperties?

I have an Inventor Pro 2013 SP1 user who does not have the Material pulldown displaying in the Quck Access Toolbar. When you hit the "down arrow" button it is not shown in the list of items to display.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIf you look closely in the attached picture, there is a spot of light blue on the player's helmet, that looks like a mistake (think it should look like the grass behind it)...though it actually may be part of his helmet.
Regardless, I'd like to take it out. My idea was to select the blue with the quick selection tool, then bring that selection out to the grass, select the grass with that size/shape of selection, copy/paste and then bring the grass selection into the blue part so it looks like grass in what was the blue part.
The problem is I don't seem to be able to move the selection without taking the blue with it (so it's not an empty selection and therefore can't select a piece of the grass.)
I have a family, with three nested families: A, B and C.
Either A or B can be picked through a "Family Type" parameter. Family C is locked to a reference plane, which is defined by a dimensional parameter called "Offset." Is there a way to have the value of "Offset" change based on whether A or B is loaded? Not sure how to use the "Family Type" dorp-down parameter in/with a formula to do so.
