I am having trouble with getting the quick properties box to display. I have turned the feature on at the bottom taskbar, and tried Ctrl+Shift+P, and changed settings so that it displays to the top-right of the cursor, but I get nothing when I select any object. It used to work on 2012 but not now.
View 8 Replies View RelatedHave recently upgraded to 2014 and can no longer get the AREA of a closed polyline in quick properties. It is no longer an option when customising the quick properties information. I know you can measure area in a number of ways but it was very handy to click on a closed polyline and have the area of that object come up in the Quick Properties window.
how to get the Area of a closed polyline in Quick Properties for 2014?
I'm having a minor issue with Autocad 2013 at the moment. I use the Quick Properties box to change a lot of my object properties, but since changing from 2012 to 2013, I have noticed QP doesn't recognise the selection of any objects.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWith QP activated, if I select an object (say an alignment or profile view) on the screen and want to pick its GRIP, I have to click the screen FIRST to get focus back to the drawing window (so two clicks). The same applies to the contextual Ribbon, it takes two clicks to 'press' a ribbon button if QP is activated.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIn the properties and quick properties dialog box the drop down box that shows diffrient arrowhead types to choose from have disappeared, and is blank.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I select any object, my quick properties tab is blank and my properties tab doesn't register anything. Also, I get an error message when I go into my CUI to try to modify the quick properties tab. Pretty frustrating. I've attached a couple of images for reference. I've repaired, re-installed and unistalled and re-installed and still have the same probelm.

I'm looking at several surveys and using plines to quickly map it out and divide. But then to find the area in acres, I'm using a seperate calculator to convert the area given in the properties box.
I've searched and found that there was lisp used before acad 2011. and was hoping that there maybe a way for acad to do it now.
Can I just change the units from sq ft to acres in that field on the properties box in acad 2013?
For the last couple weeks I've been unable to view object properties or quick properties. If I right click on an object and select quick properties, a blank window comes up:
Similarly, if I bring up a properties window and select an object, the selection field remains blank and the object property fields are not populated with information relating to the selected object:
I finally got some Lisp scripts working. They generate a block library from a CSV file. The script reads the file, and generates a simple rectangular block based on dimensions on the line. I have another script that can read a csv of block names and values, and add these as attributes to the block.
The attributes added are simple, like "weight" and "max stack qty". I would like to be able to see these values in the properties tab or in quick properties. In my CUI I have "Display Custom Attributes" checked under "block reference".
However, when I select a block, no attributes show up. I can get it to show me things like "name" and all of the scaling values, just no attributes.
This problem just started when I upgraded to 2014. When I try to set up layer filters the Layer filters properties dialog box does not show. I'm guessing the function is working its is just that the dialog box is poping up somewhere out of view of the monitors, forgot to mention it is a 2 monitor set up.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen i select an object with the quick properties on my cursor turns into the standard windows pointer like as though i have another window active and i need to pick in the drawing area before i can select anymore objects. this doesn't happen in plain autocad. my pickadd is set to 1.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use Quick Properties in static mode mostly for counting objects and quickly seeing the length of lines and polylines. These lengths are listed in feet and inches. Would it be possible to add an additional length item to the quick properties menu which shows the inches/decimal length? Would be awesome as I wouldn't then have to do the math to convert to inches.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have the AutoCAD "Quick Properties" pop up functionality be transferred over after the dwg is converted into pdf or dwf?
I want to avoid clutter in the dwg file but would like to have an ability for my field crew to either hover over or click the blocks or AutoCAD objects in the pdf file to know the block attributes or properties of objects.
The desire is to have a functionality very similar to creating yellow sticky notes in Adobe Acrobat Professional where the sticky balloons or call outs can collapse or even disappear if you do not want to see them.
My Quick Properties does not show my block attributes but they shows in Properties Palette. I have edit Quick Properties in my Custom.CUI that overrides ACAD.CUI settings. I'm using AutoCAD 2012.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get back some of my work that was "lost" when a crash accured. I had 16 blocks (all the same) inserted into my map at the correct locations. I recovered the drawing but noticed that the blocks weren't displaying. I conducted a quick select for the layer which they're on; it stated 16 items were selected (but they are not displaying). While they are still "selected" I checked the properties & it stated all the correct information (quantity, block name, color, layer, scale, etc...). I made sure all layers associated with the block were not frozen. So it's acting as though they're still in the drawing, but aren't displaying...

Using Autocad 2011. If I pick an object, any object, in an old drawing, or newly created drawing, I cannot change it's color in the Quick Properties dialog box. "Color" is grayed out, and not selectable. I can change it via the pulldown in the Layer Manager on my toolbar, but not in the Quick Properties dialog. This just started happening.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy quick properties palette is only showing about 4 lines...(actually about 4.2 lines - explained below)
I've already changed the minimum number of rows to 20, under 'Palette Behavior', under 'Quick Properties', 'Drafting Settings', and' Tools'.
I've closed and reopened Autocad several times since i've set this, but QP box will still not show more than 4 complete lines.
I've also gone to the CUI and changed the number of attributes i want to show for each different kind of entity, so i know it's not because i dont have enough lines to show....in fact, i can see a bit of the next line....i just can't drag the window any bigger!

I am trying to customize my quick properties (acad.cuix), but i keep on receiving fatal error message. And when i click on quick properties it is all blank. Also, the Properties dialogue box is not working when i click on something, the properties do not appear on the Properties dialogue box. Attached is the error message.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have a long alignment going through a lot of creeks. right now the creeks are in xref just polylines but it intersect with alignments at areas.
is there a quick way to show all these lines on profile for design and drafting purposes? ideally want to just show a line at each intersection would be fine.
tried using pipes takes too long to set up. this is one important feature to have in the software.
i can program it again but i have not enough time to finish this project by mid october if i keep programming things.

I have a series of photos I want to make into a quick slide show. I simply want to have them show in chronological order with some music and nice transitions, maybe in a frame template. I know I can do this in V3 fairly easily and I have done a good bit of video editing with VideoStudio, but I am wondering if there is a wizard that would make something like this faster and get me most of the way there.
There was Movie Wizard in past versions that I never used because I never had anything this simple to do. Is there a recommendation for how to get 90% there in VS3?
This is driving me mad, new to CS5 but have used various other programs with mask feature, I can select a quick mask with the colour set to white and black, on the black it will highlight in Red no problem but on the white it won't hight light in green, it does remove any red but won't hightlight in green for an area I want to keep.
I was trying to make the whites of the eye whiter by creating a quick mask and highligting the whites in green (so with the white colour selected) and then adjusting the levels for the selected area but it just won't work.
I click on viewport and properties but Standard scale does not show up on Properties Misc.
