View 6 Replies View RelatedI am drawing in AutoCAD 2012 and when I want to change the font I just have standard to choose from. How do I get all the other fonts to my drawing? (They're all in the fonts folder on my computer)
The drawing I'm working on is exported from LisCAD, is that why I have limited options?
I have imported a ISO Shipping container but the scale is to large. How can I scale it down to architecture setting standard not metric. When I try to use the scale option all it does is makes it larger? I have not search yet do to time restrictions.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe properties palatte has both these scales listed. In theory, they can be different.I would love to be able to plot my drawing at 1:1000 with the civil objects & labels scaled to 1:500 so they don't overwhelm the plan. It would seem I should be able to simply set the viewport to have a standard scale of 1:1000 and annotation scale 1:500 and be done. But it doesn't work. It will always scale the annotative objects to the standard scale.
My workaround is to scale my sheet double size and plot it half size, to trick the Civil objects & labels.
I cannot find the Standard Scale list anywhere in my 2010 version of AutoCAD. Only the Annotative Scale list is visible and usable. Note: it's not that certain scale values are missing, it's that the entire Standard Scale function is no where to be found!
I need to be able to change the scale of a viewport, but the Standard Scale list is not included as an option in the Properties Dialog box, nor is it in any of the other suggested places where it should be. I've used the Standard Scale list many times before in previous versions of CAD and from everything I can tell 2010 should have it.
I wish to show a standard top and right side view in my IDW. In my views I have a particular hole I don't (or hole set) that I do not want to show on this (or any at points) view. Is it possible to suppress a single or multiple features?
I have tried expanding the tree in the browser and clicking on the component (right and left) but there is no 'visibility' or 'suppress' avail. in the menu that comes up.
Is there a way to modify the DEFAULT SCALE LIST to show a metric scale list in an imperial template? I mean, I start a drawing using the imperial template, but i want to use the standard metric scales on paper space. on previous versions the scale list shown both imperial & metric. Now it depends of what the template is using.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMirrored blocks with annotative attributes, I know I can scale each one individually, but there are over one hundred. It would be nice to use the properties box and type in the scale. As soon as I type in the "x" scale, y and z follow! I need to put in negatives in x only.
Why do y and z automatically follow x?!?!?
What these properties in a viewport mean to the overall scale of a drawing:
1. Annotation scale
2. Standard scale
3. Custom Scale.

View 9 Replies View RelatedQuicker way to change the overall linetype scale than using the 'modify properties' dialogue box that comes with Autocad 2008? I've attached an image that specifically shows what I am trying to change, but I get tired of always having to scroll down in the box to find this variable. I would love to have something simple like the old DDCHPROP dialogue box (see smaller image). LISP routine or something where I click on the toolbar button, and simply change the overall scale without having to navigate through the native one?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm looking at several surveys and using plines to quickly map it out and divide. But then to find the area in acres, I'm using a seperate calculator to convert the area given in the properties box.
I've searched and found that there was lisp used before acad 2011. and was hoping that there maybe a way for acad to do it now.
Can I just change the units from sq ft to acres in that field on the properties box in acad 2013?
I have a further query, when I select an object (Line, Circle, Hatch etc...) how can I set the 'Quick Properties' to automatically show for the selected item(s)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhere is the “annotative scale” and “paper text height” properties?
I couldn’t find the “annotative scale” and “paper text height” properties when dealing with “Civil 3D” objects such as points and contours the same way we have it in the regular AutoCAD.
For example, suppose that I need to increase to decrease the “text height” of the point label considering a particular “annotative scale” property, then how this kind of thing might be done in the AutoCAD Civil 3D?
This problem just started when I upgraded to 2014. When I try to set up layer filters the Layer filters properties dialog box does not show. I'm guessing the function is working its is just that the dialog box is poping up somewhere out of view of the monitors, forgot to mention it is a 2 monitor set up.

I am a little new to assigning attributes. My company had a block with two attributes that I need to alter. When the block is inserted, it asks a quantity. The other attribute is titled location. I am told if needed, all these quantities can be totaled per drawing. It has a title of "location". Two things: How to replicate this action? And is there a way to show all properties of a field for an attribute?

Working in AutoCAD 2013LT-my Layer Properties Manager has stopped allowing me access. When I open a drawing layers all come however I get a pop-up note that says: "ALL LAYERS ARE ALREADY INCLUDED IN THIS LAYER STATE. NO LAYERS CAN BE ADDED"
What happened-even when I try to edit layers they will not show up in the Properties Manager as changed.

how do you get the scale to show up properly in the title block? I've been searching and finding nothing on this issue, with exception of Autodesk personnel telling users to use the scale display on the views. I know it's not the "Autodesk way" of doing things, but my company has been putting the main view scale in the title block for over 30 years.
I've been using Patrick de Stobbeleir's "iProperty Collection" utility since Inv11, and it does the job. The thing that bugs me, though, is that I can't figure out how to get the FirstViewScale:x custom properties to work intelligently in my title blocks. I just use the property FirstViewScale in my title block, which displays the scale of the first view put down...no matter what the sheet.
how I can use the FirstViewScale:x property in title blocks such that x is the sheet number? So far we just have the first sheet use the FirstViewScale, and then subsequent sheets use a prompted entry (I know it's an ugly work-around).
I'm working in a dwg and any hatch pattern displays solid. I've changed the scale to various sizes, and tried multiple different hatches, but they all show solid. This is the first time I'm working in metric scale, but if this is the issue, my measurement system variable is set to 1 and my units are set to metric.
