1. Manage Tab > Make Part
2. Under "Place part in target assembly" click the Folder button on New File Location
3. A "Component Properties" dialog box will appear. Now, click "YES" or "NO" button, dialog box closes.....

Photoshop :: CC Blank Save As Dialog Then Crash When Working With Video / Frame Animations?
Aug 20, 2013I recently updated to CC from CS6 and am having issues when working with PSDs containing video layers, or are set up as frame animations: When attempting to Save As, the dialog will be completely blank except for the Save and Cancel buttons. If I press cancel, then return to Save As, CC then often crashes.

So far I am only having these issues if I have been working with video layers and then frame animations. Frame animations in particular seem to cause instability as I can often work with video layers all day without a problem. Then if I import video frames to layers, or open a PSD containing a frame animation, the Save As may not necessarily work.
Sometimes closing and restarting Photoshop will allow me to save again, but then sometimes a whole system reboot is required. It is only temporary though.
I am not running antivirus software or other apps aside from what starts at boot.

Jul 13, 2012With QP activated, if I select an object (say an alignment or profile view) on the screen and want to pick its GRIP, I have to click the screen FIRST to get focus back to the drawing window (so two clicks). The same applies to the contextual Ribbon, it takes two clicks to 'press' a ribbon button if QP is activated.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Drop Down Menus In Dialog Boxes Appear Blank And Cursor Doesn't Echo
Jan 18, 2011In dialog boxes the drop down menus appear blank until I drag the mouse over it then the contents appear as I drag the mouse across. Also the cursor doesn't echo back (flash). I have tried updating drivers to no avail.
Running Civil 3D 2011 with all updates.

Quadra fx 1800

Jul 10, 2012When I select any object, my quick properties tab is blank and my properties tab doesn't register anything. Also, I get an error message when I go into my CUI to try to modify the quick properties tab. Pretty frustrating. I've attached a couple of images for reference. I've repaired, re-installed and unistalled and re-installed and still have the same probelm.

Apr 16, 2012Typically when setting up a viewport in paper space I can change the viewport type at the bottom of the properties dialog box. In 2013 the option is available, but it will always snap back to undefined. I'm sure it is a setting somewhere.

Jun 11, 2013I finally got some Lisp scripts working. They generate a block library from a CSV file. The script reads the file, and generates a simple rectangular block based on dimensions on the line. I have another script that can read a csv of block names and values, and add these as attributes to the block.
The attributes added are simple, like "weight" and "max stack qty". I would like to be able to see these values in the properties tab or in quick properties. In my CUI I have "Display Custom Attributes" checked under "block reference".
However, when I select a block, no attributes show up. I can get it to show me things like "name" and all of the scaling values, just no attributes.

URL....Here is an example.I can't modify Label text from Sections and pretty much everything in this area.I think everything happens because of the Country Kit I have installed.Is there any way to repair it? I have all service packs installed on CIVIL 3D 2012.

I think the problem is coming from Country Kit. Since I put it and I'm using it as a template, my Civil 3D is coming with THOUSANDS of errors.

I want to avoid clutter in the dwg file but would like to have an ability for my field crew to either hover over or click the blocks or AutoCAD objects in the pdf file to know the block attributes or properties of objects.
The desire is to have a functionality very similar to creating yellow sticky notes in Adobe Acrobat Professional where the sticky balloons or call outs can collapse or even disappear if you do not want to see them.

I have turned the feature on at the bottom taskbar, and tried Ctrl+Shift+P, and changed settings so that it displays to the top-right of the cursor, but I get nothing when I select any object. Oct 30, 2012I am trying to get back some of my work that was "lost" when a crash accured. I had 16 blocks (all the same) inserted into my map at the correct locations. I recovered the drawing but noticed that the blocks weren't displaying. I conducted a quick select for the layer which they're on; it stated 16 items were selected (but they are not displaying). While they are still "selected" I checked the properties & it stated all the correct information (quantity, block name, color, layer, scale, etc...). I made sure all layers associated with the block were not frozen. So it's acting as though they're still in the drawing, but aren't displaying...

Jun 26, 2013I have a user who is experiencing a blank or improperly rendered layer dialog box from time to time (see image attached).
I've seen this with another user at a different office as well. I assume its a video driver issue but as I'm strictly a CAD manager and not IT support, messing around with that is outside my responsibilities.
A restart usually fixes the issue but I figured I try to at least find out of its a known issue with a known cause (and a known fix).

May 16, 2013Using Autocad 2011. If I pick an object, any object, in an old drawing, or newly created drawing, I cannot change it's color in the Quick Properties dialog box. "Color" is grayed out, and not selectable. I can change it via the pulldown in the Layer Manager on my toolbar, but not in the Quick Properties dialog. This just started happening.
