View 2 RepliesI can not view/used the quick calculator of my Cad in Properties Dialog box. It is always hanging.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using autocad 2013, and My properties dialog is blank. Pick-first is set to 1. I have completely repair, registry cleaned, but now this problem is continues.
View 9 Replies View RelatedFor the last couple weeks I've been unable to view object properties or quick properties. If I right click on an object and select quick properties, a blank window comes up:
Similarly, if I bring up a properties window and select an object, the selection field remains blank and the object property fields are not populated with information relating to the selected object:
In the properties and quick properties dialog box the drop down box that shows diffrient arrowhead types to choose from have disappeared, and is blank.
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen i select an object with the quick properties on my cursor turns into the standard windows pointer like as though i have another window active and i need to pick in the drawing area before i can select anymore objects. this doesn't happen in plain autocad. my pickadd is set to 1.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed "Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2012 English Win 64bit"., and now I would like to create thru "Make Part" feature an assembly in which I am using in the previous version 2011. The feature options are not working.Step to re-create:
1. Manage Tab > Make Part
2. Under "Place part in target assembly" click the Folder button on New File Location
3. A "Component Properties" dialog box will appear. Now, click "YES" or "NO" button, dialog box closes.....

I recently updated to CC from CS6 and am having issues when working with PSDs containing video layers, or are set up as frame animations: When attempting to Save As, the dialog will be completely blank except for the Save and Cancel buttons. If I press cancel, then return to Save As, CC then often crashes.
Here is the Error Event from Event Viewer:

So far I am only having these issues if I have been working with video layers and then frame animations. Frame animations in particular seem to cause instability as I can often work with video layers all day without a problem. Then if I import video frames to layers, or open a PSD containing a frame animation, the Save As may not necessarily work.
Sometimes closing and restarting Photoshop will allow me to save again, but then sometimes a whole system reboot is required. It is only temporary though.
I am not running antivirus software or other apps aside from what starts at boot.
My Quick Properties does not show my block attributes but they shows in Properties Palette. I have edit Quick Properties in my Custom.CUI that overrides ACAD.CUI settings. I'm using AutoCAD Civil 3D as AutoCAD 2012.
Below you can see that Attributes are not any option.
I'm trying to make my changes in the local CUI file.
With QP activated, if I select an object (say an alignment or profile view) on the screen and want to pick its GRIP, I have to click the screen FIRST to get focus back to the drawing window (so two clicks). The same applies to the contextual Ribbon, it takes two clicks to 'press' a ribbon button if QP is activated.

In dialog boxes the drop down menus appear blank until I drag the mouse over it then the contents appear as I drag the mouse across. Also the cursor doesn't echo back (flash). I have tried updating drivers to no avail.

I have attached a couple images to illustrate.
I can't get the "Properties" dialog box to remain the same location each time I launch Civil 3D 2014. I have "xref" and "toolspace" on another monitor, along with "properties" although each time I launch CIvil the "Properties" dialog box reverts back to the middle of my other monitor...
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I select any object, my quick properties tab is blank and my properties tab doesn't register anything. Also, I get an error message when I go into my CUI to try to modify the quick properties tab. Pretty frustrating. I've attached a couple of images for reference. I've repaired, re-installed and unistalled and re-installed and still have the same probelm.

Typically when setting up a viewport in paper space I can change the viewport type at the bottom of the properties dialog box. In 2013 the option is available, but it will always snap back to undefined. I'm sure it is a setting somewhere.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI finally got some Lisp scripts working. They generate a block library from a CSV file. The script reads the file, and generates a simple rectangular block based on dimensions on the line. I have another script that can read a csv of block names and values, and add these as attributes to the block.
The attributes added are simple, like "weight" and "max stack qty". I would like to be able to see these values in the properties tab or in quick properties. In my CUI I have "Display Custom Attributes" checked under "block reference".
However, when I select a block, no attributes show up. I can get it to show me things like "name" and all of the scaling values, just no attributes.
Text Component Editor dialog box not working. URL....Here is an example.I can't modify Label text from Sections and pretty much everything in this area.I think everything happens because of the Country Kit I have installed. Is there any way to repair it? I have all service packs installed on CIVIL 3D 2012.
Here is the error i get: Cannot find the resource string number 25202 in resource - 551157760
I think the problem is coming from Country Kit. Since I put it and I'm using it as a template, my Civil 3D is coming with THOUSANDS of errors.
I have been using Auto Cad 2007. How to get quick properties tools in Autocad 2007.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a user with AutoCAD LT 2007 SP2. Whenever he clicks on File > Open... the drop-down list to browse to another directory is blank. It doesn't show any local or network drives. He can open files just fine from Windows Explorer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Quick Properties in static mode mostly for counting objects and quickly seeing the length of lines and polylines. These lengths are listed in feet and inches. Would it be possible to add an additional length item to the quick properties menu which shows the inches/decimal length? Would be awesome as I wouldn't then have to do the math to convert to inches.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have the AutoCAD "Quick Properties" pop up functionality be transferred over after the dwg is converted into pdf or dwf?
I want to avoid clutter in the dwg file but would like to have an ability for my field crew to either hover over or click the blocks or AutoCAD objects in the pdf file to know the block attributes or properties of objects.
The desire is to have a functionality very similar to creating yellow sticky notes in Adobe Acrobat Professional where the sticky balloons or call outs can collapse or even disappear if you do not want to see them.
I am having trouble with getting the quick properties box to display. I have turned the feature on at the bottom taskbar, and tried Ctrl+Shift+P, and changed settings so that it displays to the top-right of the cursor, but I get nothing when I select any object. It used to work on 2012 but not now.
View 8 Replies View RelatedHave recently upgraded to 2014 and can no longer get the AREA of a closed polyline in quick properties. It is no longer an option when customising the quick properties information. I know you can measure area in a number of ways but it was very handy to click on a closed polyline and have the area of that object come up in the Quick Properties window.
how to get the Area of a closed polyline in Quick Properties for 2014?
My Quick Properties does not show my block attributes but they shows in Properties Palette. I have edit Quick Properties in my Custom.CUI that overrides ACAD.CUI settings. I'm using AutoCAD 2012.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get back some of my work that was "lost" when a crash accured. I had 16 blocks (all the same) inserted into my map at the correct locations. I recovered the drawing but noticed that the blocks weren't displaying. I conducted a quick select for the layer which they're on; it stated 16 items were selected (but they are not displaying). While they are still "selected" I checked the properties & it stated all the correct information (quantity, block name, color, layer, scale, etc...). I made sure all layers associated with the block were not frozen. So it's acting as though they're still in the drawing, but aren't displaying...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a further query, when I select an object (Line, Circle, Hatch etc...) how can I set the 'Quick Properties' to automatically show for the selected item(s)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a user who is experiencing a blank or improperly rendered layer dialog box from time to time (see image attached).
I've seen this with another user at a different office as well. I assume its a video driver issue but as I'm strictly a CAD manager and not IT support, messing around with that is outside my responsibilities.
A restart usually fixes the issue but I figured I try to at least find out of its a known issue with a known cause (and a known fix).
I'm having a minor issue with Autocad 2013 at the moment. I use the Quick Properties box to change a lot of my object properties, but since changing from 2012 to 2013, I have noticed QP doesn't recognise the selection of any objects.
View 9 Replies View RelatedUsing Autocad 2011. If I pick an object, any object, in an old drawing, or newly created drawing, I cannot change it's color in the Quick Properties dialog box. "Color" is grayed out, and not selectable. I can change it via the pulldown in the Layer Manager on my toolbar, but not in the Quick Properties dialog. This just started happening.
