I'm an Autocad 2004 user and I was working in a auto cad drawing and I wanted to install a new hatch file and now I cannot get any of my short key commands, Z zoom, Line, Circle, Etc. every time that I enter a command I get a message saying Unknown command Press F1 for help.
how to get the commands files to work again.
Can you change the commands in Lt 2014. I want to change the copy command (CO) to (C) and make circle (CC)?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just had to replace my desktop computer, reinstalled AutoCad, set it up using a saved profile, everything was working fine until this morning when I came in and most of my buttons on the toolbars return "Unknown Command". Now even when I type in the command on the command line it doesn't recognize the commands. ie _layfrz Unknown command "LAYFRZ) I've gone in and "repaired" the program, shut down the computer for a full restart, to no avail.

I installed the language pack, on my original autocad 2013(Chinese) has the ribbon, and the "RIBBON"command works, but on my another language pack autocad 2013 (English) there is no ribbon and the"RIBBON" command does not work, tells me ribbon Unknown command "RIBBON".
Does the ribbon function not work on the language pack autocad one?
We are looking to upgrade from AutoCAD 2009 to V2012 and I have a copy for testing purposes.We have several custom commands linked to menu icons for added symbols such as a gate valve, ball valve etc.
Most of these use the following command

I've worked out that"V:/blocks/pefs/bfl is the location of the block drawing and is stored in #bname, the #prompt is set to tell the block (#bname) to break the line and insert, or, if nil instead of T, then just insert the block over the line. When I click on the icon when using AutoCAD V2012 I get
unknown command "BBLOCK"
but it works just fine in 2009. I can see no reference to BBLOCK and can only assume it is a variable of some sort. I've spent hours searching the forums to no avail.
I was told that I should download and install DWG compare plug-in to compare 2 dwg files. I have downloaded the file and installed it (at least I got the "successfully installed" message) but when I open AutoCAD LT 2013 it does not show up on the plug-ins tab and using the dwg compare command returns an "unknown command" response.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been using Architecture 2013 for a while now, but now there is what I beleve to be a configuration issue. Essentially, ACAD loads,but does not recognise any AEC components. The tool pallette no longer has an icon to add a wall, for example. If I load an older drawing that has a wall in it, and select the wall, the Properties window says it is a wall, but none of the blue grips is visible. Right clicking does not give the option to "Edit Wall Style" for example. It behaves as though it does not know what an Architecural element is. If it type "WALLADD" at the command line, it says ""Unknown Command".
The company I purchased it from initially had me do a "repair", then a "reinstall" and then a "Clean reinstall". All of which I have done.
I recently downloaded the trial version of Autocad Architecture 2013. I changed my main customization file to aca.cuix so that I would have the build panel. The build panel is now there, but it is not working. All the icons are questions marks and when I click on the ceiling grid icon it says 'unknown command'. How can I get the ceiling grid function to start working?

Another user in our office has everything in the Trimble Link work fine. We have tried upping my status to administrator for my computer, and that didn't work. When I installed CIvil 3D, I checked every button to be installed in the infrastructure design suite package....
[URL] Basically, when I accidentally input a typo into the command line there is a massive lag before AutoCad comes back to life. Nearly three seconds.
This happens on our AutoCad 2014 LT installations too.
I have all the predictive/corrective command line features turned off.
I have also uninstalled 360 and online content services, prior to the problem, to no avail.
Our office internet is proxied, and there are no ports opened for any Autodesk products.
It's losing us valuable seconds / minutes / days / weeks / months, depending on how you look at it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running AutoCAD 2012 (base version, but part of Mechanical install). Part of my .mnl file is set to run (command "cube" "off"). On one machine (Windows 7), it works fine. I'm temporarily on my laptop (Windows 8), & that portion no longer works.
If I type cube in the command line, it works fine. However, if I type (command "cube"), it says unknown command "CUBE".
My company upgraded our AutoCAD from 2007 to 2009 this past Monday. I'm getting an error message when trying to change the order of objects in model space.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just encountered strange issue and I cannot find the proper solution anywhere.I work in AutoCAD for 5 years and I am used to type commands on the keyboard (I usualy don't use icons in AutoCAD).
I was used to...just cancel all previous commands by ESC key and start typing the command.But since last week I had to click in the command line to write the command in it. How to type commands without annoying clicking in command line?
If I type in refedit, wipeout, match properties, properties and quite a few others my command line reads Not Recognized! I can't live withour these comands! Not sure what I did, it happend yesterday and I was getting hit by all sides.
Added note: it doesn't seem to mater how I try to get to these commands i'm equally hosed if I use short cut, spelled out, on the ribbon, right click. . . . .access denied.
I still have use of line join edit etc.I don't know if this is related but 2012 dosn't seem to remember settings like if you check the double click to edit in options save work space after the next day it is back like it was.
AutoCAD Map 2010 has just been installed in my PC and since i first runned AC the command line, menu browser and key commands don´t work. This way I can´t do anything.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHaving only recently started using Autocad 2012 (I mainly used various versions of LT over the last 10+ years) I have noticed a few strange goings on.
It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes whilst in a command ("move" for example), when I go to click on an object or pull a window, a separate, totally random command activates itself. Why this happens, I just hit escape a couple of times & continue what I was doing.
I'm not sure if it is a case of me, in my haste, missing my intended object & hitting the right click button (which I use as a return & not a drop down menu).
Just converted from 14LT to 2014LT. In 14LT, when drawing a shape, say 4' by 5', I used to be able to draw the first two lines, 4' and 5' and then simply push the up arrow to retrieve the last two entries at the command line. When I do that now, it gives me some sort of dimensional coordinates.
Also, same subject, different useage, when drawing from points to points, I used to be able to draw a line from a point to a snap point such as intersection and then simply push the up arrow to retrieve that command to the command line over and over depending on a snap by snap basis. Again, it just gives me the dimensional coordinates.
my command box has mysteriously vanished (more than likely my own doing) and I would really like it back!
View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to add macros to my ACAD 2014 to count blocks, I managed to lose the "copym" command while trying to figure how to create a button in the user interface found in the ribbon bar under the customization tab...when I type copym into the command line, it wants to prompt me to finish the command string using the command "copymode" and doesn't even see that the command "copym" even exists in the list that is created. (the list that's created by an autocomplete function)
I found the command in the list while making a pull down menu item selection button for "copym" utilizing the user interface in the ribbon. I drug the command info for "copym" to the menu bar using the user interface feature. The command is there, all the info seems to be correct, I even managed to make a menu selection for it in the pull down menu. But when I select that menu item, the command line says: UNKNOWN COMMAND "COPYM" Press f1 for help.
I think I accidentally deleted something, just wondering how I can get my "copym" command function back into AutoCAD from never-never land.
Instead of a window popping up with the hatch settings, I just get the following in the command prompt:
