Pick internal point or [Select objects/settings}:
what might be causing this?
I am having some troubles whit my dynamic blocks.
Whenever I add a block property table the window that should be opent doesn't open. The strange thing is that I think it actualy is open but i just don't see it on my screen. The same thing gous for the screen that allows you to ad a parameter to a lookup set. by folowing this link you can see what i mean, it gets interesting after 30 seconds.

Is there a variable that decides where on your screen you see these screens?
All of the sudden, when I go to the pull down menu and click "Save As", instead of the window opening where I can physically choose where I want to save or save over, I get the file directory in the command line. I even typed in the folder directory and it still doesn't save it there. Why the sudden change?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow to have “window” selection when using the “adjust space” command?
I’m wondering if there is a way to select all the dimensions needed to be adjusted in one go instead of selecting them one by one.
Software: AutoCAD 2014, AutoCAD C3D, AutoCAD M3D, Revit
Windows 7 (Ultimate 64 bits),
Firefox 20.0,
Kaspersky 2013.
An example is when I'm drawing a box, line etc and attempt to type "@5,-5", AutoCAD somehow jumps to a window on the side and if I don't notice will restore the window I'm working in and not complete the command I typed ("@5,-5" in this case). If I do notice in time, then I have to pres ESC about 3-4 times, which will then have me back on the command line with the text "@5,-" already typed (as if that was were I paused while typing??). The attached picture shows the dialog box on the top left, and the command line as if I've only typed "@", when after pressing ESC as mentioned the full "@5,-" text becomes visible on the command line?
Also, as a note: I've already ruled out that I'm pressing other keys that could possibly cause this...
I'm running AutoCAD (Mechanical) 2011
With the command window displayed at the bottom of the screen, everything slows down. The cursor momentarily freezes and it takes a second or two for commands to be fulfilled. Also, the command window is about 7 lines high; in the past, I have shrunk it to maybe 3 or 4 lines but I cannot shrink this wndow.
Then, when I push control-9 and the window disappears, everything speeds up to normal!
I tried turning off my internet connection and my McAfee Viruscan as well. Running without the command window makes it hard to draft. Since I type shortcuts, I figure I must have hit the wrong key and unleashed something unspeakably terrible.
I am running AutoCAD version 10 on my PC, with Windows XP Professional.
I am trying to use the Arc-aligned text command from the Express tools menu. No matter what style, height, offset i enter i get a box that says "Invalid text!". I never use this command in my work but am trying to create a banner

View 9 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, the multi line text editor in no longer displaying when I select "new" from within the DIMEDIT command. I'm presuming that there is some sort of system variable that controls this, but I have not been able to find it in the help files. The Mtext editor is working from the Mtext command, so I know it's not the DTEXTED variable.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've struggled with the old issue of shifting images in rotated viewports. We use georeferenced aerial photography by way of these images inserted into their own drawing and then Xreffed into another drawing for printing. The issue is, the image appears shifted in some viewports. Most of the time it prints fine but not always. I searched the discussion groups and found a post a few years ago that a reply user stumbled across a quasi workaround. When the view command's Perspective is turned on and then off within the viewport, the image appears to be locked in it's correct position, not shifted. I have successfully used this procedure several times over the years until now. I have half a dozen drawings that when I turn the Perspective on and then off in a viewport, the image will not display. The xref is loaded and the layer is turned on in the viewport but the image doesn't show. What is the perspective portion of the view command within a viewport?

When I go to Environments>Frame Analysis, I used to get a menu for Constraints, Loads and other settings (similar to the Stress Analyisis menu). I don't get that now. I can right-click on an existing simulation and add constraints and loads, but I would really like to get the menu back.
I can go to tools>Customize, Toolbars tab and Frame Analysis Panel is there. I can click Show and it will show the panel but it stays up all the time. Not what I want.
I have tried resetting the menu, repair installing Inventor and Reinstalling Inventor, but still not joy. How do I get this back to the original setting so that it comes up when I select Frame Analysis?
This is in 2011.
I lost my setup in the right click for my menu. How can I bring it back?

I seem to have lost my Add Labels Menu Button on my Annotate Ribbon. I have tried reloading my workspace but it is still gone. How to add it back on?
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow to add macros to my ACAD 2014 to count blocks, I managed to lose the "copym" command while trying to figure how to create a button in the user interface found in the ribbon bar under the customization tab...when I type copym into the command line, it wants to prompt me to finish the command string using the command "copymode" and doesn't even see that the command "copym" even exists in the list that is created. (the list that's created by an autocomplete function)
I found the command in the list while making a pull down menu item selection button for "copym" utilizing the user interface in the ribbon. I drug the command info for "copym" to the menu bar using the user interface feature. The command is there, all the info seems to be correct, I even managed to make a menu selection for it in the pull down menu. But when I select that menu item, the command line says: UNKNOWN COMMAND "COPYM" Press f1 for help.
I think I accidentally deleted something, just wondering how I can get my "copym" command function back into AutoCAD from never-never land.

This happen outside the potential malware infection?
if you care to not click-through, the problem is that certain commands (not all of them) simply do not disply in the command line. so the MOVE command for example looks like this:
NORMAL:
Command: _move
Select objects:
NOW:
Command:
Select objects:
same with QSAVE and who knows how many others.
I've got a Macbook Pro running X11(ver 2.3.6) and Gimp 2.6.11 and have had no problems with either until recently. I'm a professional artist with about 5 solid years of experience using Gimp and I love it. I actually own Photoshop and spend more time overall in the Gimp. But now, all of a sudden, I have no ability to do anything it it except rifle through the menus. Absolutely nothing works in the image window because the mouse will not click anywhere inside it. Its the same whether I use the build in touch pad, a USB 3-button mouse or my Wacom Intuos 3 tablet. I know, or at least strongly suspect, that its a focus issue because I can click on a menu item and drop the menu, but clicking outside the menu onto the image area does not collapse the menu! I've searched and searched and I'm at a loss. My Gimps BROKE!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing with 13 profile views. 12 of them are working fine.
One profile view has 'lost' all its profiles. It should have one surface profile, and 6 superimposed profiles that are designed by layout in other profile views.
The profiles still show up in prospector and in the profile view properties, but you can't see them in the drawing. The profile view is on the same style as all the others, and the profiles are on multiple styles, but the same as their source profile and others in the drawing that are working fine.
I edited the alignment a little to see if that would 'jog the memory', then I turned all layers on and thawed. Still nothing. Then I superimposed a couple more profiles to see if they would show up. Again, they show in the properties, but do not plot in profile view.
I have a separate drawing with this alignment & profiles shortcut into it, and I'm seeing exactly the same behaviour there too.
My layers dock has gone missing. According to the list in my 'Windows' tab, it claims to be open. I have looked all over the screen. I have switched on and off again etc. I have even deliberately thrown other docks off the screen to see if they come back to normal screen area if I close and reopen Gimp- and they do. so it isn't lost off screen.
I have unistalled and re-insalled and it has not come back.
1. Go to Windows>recently closed docks - Mine says 'empty'
2. File>create docks - I don't have this option- mine choices are 'new', 'create', 'open', 'open as layers', ''open location', 'open recent'... then a few which pertain to having an image open that you're working on... then 'quit'.
3. I went to Youtube and the tutorials on how to make your Gimp like Photoshop and how to get back closed windows also haven't worked.
I'm on Gimp 2.6.
