Aug 27, 2011How can i assign a shortcut key in corel, this Application. On Key "^b, DownArrow", "Macro" runs in excel. But not on Corel.

CorelDRAW X5 :: Import Dialog Box Comes Up Short
Sep 29, 2011Open a new document, file, import, click on the file filter type near the bottom right corner. The filter list begins with PPT (Powerpoint) and ends with XLS (Excel). There are 28 other file types between those two, all in alphabetical order from P to X.
All the file types from A to P are missing.
If I go to tools, customization, global, filters, in the list of active filters, they're all there (apprx. 60).Â

CorelDRAW X6 :: Assign Shortcut To Super Nudge?
Apr 4, 2012I want to change the shortcut for super nudge from shift + arrow to ctrl + shift + arrow. I can't find super nudge or micro nudge in the keyboard shortcuts list. I tried checking "navigate to conflict on assign" but that doesn't seem to work very well in general and fails completely with super and micro nudge.

Nov 8, 2013I'm working on a drawing of an airplane, it has lots and lots of objects. I need to change the color of a bunch of these objects without affecting their stack order.
In a simple example, the left wing and the right wing need to be blue, but the fuselage in between them needs to stay white. If I group the wings, it moves them both on top of the body.
Is there any way to re-color all my airplane parts with one click without moving them all to the front?
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 11 :: Assign Custom Spot Color To Shape Via VBA?
May 16, 2013Is it possible to assign a custom spot color to a shape via VBA? The best I could come up with was something like the following (where "sh" represents a shape):
sh.Outline.Color.FixedAssign cdrCustom, 1, 100
I'm under the impression that cdrCustom is supposed to represent the user's custom spot color palette, but this doesn't seem to work.
Furthermore, I can manually assign a custom spot color to an object and then retrieve the PaletteID and PaletteIndex of that color using VBA. Â For example:
Debug.Print ActiveSelection.Shapes(1)..Outline.Color.PaletteID
Debug.Print ActiveSelection.Shapes(1)..Outline.Color.PaletteIndex
The PaletteID that returns is 0 (cdrCustom), and the PaletteIndex returned does correspond with its order in my custom spot color palette. Â In fact, I can also retrieve the Color.Name and it will correctly identify the custom spot color's name.
For the life of me, I just can't seem to assign these colors using VBA. Â Is it just that the VBA in CorelDRAW 11 is too immature?

Nov 13, 2012I have a project that comes and goes. It was actually started in Softdesk. Right now I'm working in Civil 3D 2012. I have an alignment that represents the left edge of pavement. Although I'm calling an offset alignment. It was created before they existed. So it's not linked to the centerline. There have been many changes to it over the past few years. Now it has a problem.
I wanted to edit in the Panorama. Right-click > Edit Alignment Geometry > select Alignment Grid View from the Alignment Layout Tools. When I went to the last segment in the Gird View, which was near where I wanted to edit, a segment about two thirds of the way along the Alignment was highlighted. Further investigation showed that although the whole Alignment would highlight when selected, all commands said the Alignment ended much sooner than the end station.
I've found that that alignment has been broken for quite a while but was intact at one time. My question is - What's the best way to repair/recreate it. I know I can explode it and create a replacement Alignment from the resulting entities. But is that the best way?

There is no draggable thing to mark a segment like you had on previous versions of Adpbe Premier. I can't find anything in the pull down menus. Your terms in the explanations are not clear either, You need a simple diagram of your own interface with a glossary of words you use to name your tools. This is basic. I have a problem with rendering anything more then 4 seconds at a time too, so I am really up the creek here with a 40 minute film to edit.

Opened each one in PS 5 increased contrast, edited out specs and marks etc, Saved, then in Slide Show the results were unreadable. Attempted to open again in PS and got the following dialoge box 'JPEG marker segment length is too short. The file may be trunkated or incomplete. Is there a way to recover or do I have to start again and will I get the same result.

Aug 27, 2013In a previous life, i used to have a short, one-line macro in my MNL file that would read the location of the currently active drawing, find the parent directory of that drawing (truncated to 3 levels) and open a Word document in that directory that is named after the project.
For example, if the active drawing path is
"Q:/Projects/12345 Cold Storage/Elevations/Phase 1/North Storage.dwg"
this macro would open the Word document named
"12345 Cold Storage.doc"
that was in the directory
"Q:/Projects/12345 Cold Storage"
If the file did not exist, it would be created named the same as the 3rd level directory. After i wrote this, it sure sounds like a lot, but as i remember, it was a short, one-liner.

To make sure everything is consistent I adjusted the canvas size and I find I have to do this every time I open a new project. While I have no issue with resizing it again, I find it a bit annoying. Sep 16, 2012While imaging with my Canon T1i last night with my astro club I took probably 75 or 80 pics. Halfway through the session, my battery low indicator came on, so I changed the battery but may not have turned off the camera....I can't remember.....as I continued to shoot and review the images, everything looked and worked fine.  When I returned home and got up this a.m. to review the pics, the last half could not be be opened.  I usually insert my SD card in my laptop to review first before I transfer them over. I kept getting this error on the last half of the images I took :" a jpeg marker segment length is too short. The file may be truncated or incomplete." Is there any way to recover and otherwise save these images?  By not turning the camera off while changing batteries, could that be the reason for the error message?

I need to pan and zoom over a still image to create a short video. I remember the process was to mark a track over the still, with points along this path that required time to transit and the degree of zoom. On playback, it was like a video.
Think of the still as a hillside shot with a road winding from top to bottom. The video captured a zoomed in frame of just the road. Eventually, at the bottom, the frame slowly zoomed out displaying most of the still. How do I do this?

Jun 4, 2012I'm using VSP X4 to make some short slideshows to be embedded in websites. I have been successful in creating them and converting into a WMV movie for broadband, 320 x 240 for fast loading on the website page.
All works well in terms of the slideshow presenting on the site page, but no matter how I size the container, or change the object code when converting, the slideshow always has a black bar at the top and the bottom of the slideshow. I've changed aspect ratios with no success in removing these black bars. I use CSS to create the container for the slideshow, and the container is coded for a white background, yet, the slideshow continues to have these black bars at the top and bottom. how I can remove these, assuming it's VSP4 that's creating them?

Nov 30, 2011I have just taken some short video clips and put them together in a 3min 40 second video. When I tried to save it to my desktop the rendering took a little over an hour. This is my first try so I am really a newbie Is it normal to take that long to render? I was planning on making 20 to 40 minute videos but at an hour for every 3 minutes it may not work.

Mar 27, 2012I'm trying to produce a 5 minute sports highlight video. It will be a mix of clips shot on my HDC-SD10 camcorder and clips pulled from a 1.5 hour game video on DVD. I am running Corel VideoStudio Pro X4.
Immediate challenge is importing clips from the game video on DVD. I don't want to download the entire game from the DVD just to pull 5 five-second clips. Unfortunately, entire game is one "chapter" on the DVD, so I can't just import a particular chapter. I've looked through the Corel manual, but can't find anything. How can I pull short clips from one long file?
VideoStudio :: Orange Time Line Too Short For Project?

My first project is just 2m 3secs long. The top video track has 2m 28secs of video, and the a still photo in place for 3 seconds.
However the orange timeline stop before the final clip (still photo) so when I render/share the project this last slide isn't included.
how I can change the project duration?
