GIMP :: Detaching Animation Pane?
Jul 6, 2013I've done it in the past to click on the dotted line to detach the animation pane so while repeatedly using Animstack & Playback is less cumbersome. Why I no longer have that option?

GIMP :: Detaching Drop Shadow From Parent Layer?

Aug 11, 2011On one of our drawings all of the doors (aparently except for one) detached from their host walls. The doors were still in their places, but un-anchored. We can go through and re-anchor them, but that's a lot of work, especially since they get shifted to the point on the wall you pick to re-anchor them.
1) Is there an easy way to re-anchor them to their original location?
2) What caused this (so that we can avoid this in the future)?
3ds Max Modeling :: Maintain Smoothing When Detaching Or Splitting?
Dec 27, 2011I noticed that in 3ds max 2012, when i split an edge or detach a polygon the smoothing at that point changes and seam is visible. I think that in previous versions when i did the same thing the smoothing remained. Is there a way to prevent this?

Maya Modeling :: Detaching Curves From NURBs Plane?
Oct 6, 20121. I've never worked with nurbs before. I have made a nurbs plane, made it live, and drew some curves on it. Now, whenever I select the nurbs plane the curves are also selected. How do I delete only the nurbs plane without deleting the curves?
2. I am trying to make eyelashes using paintfx. How do I get the paintfx hair (the eyelashes brush) to orient themselves "onto" a surface, like in the attached image?
AutoCAD Architecture :: Aec Objects (doors And Windows) Are Detaching From Walls?
Dec 21, 2009We have a house plan that has windows and doors of different types anchored to their walls. It seems that whenever someone is working in a file from the network that has the plan xrefed into it and the plan is opened to be modified by another user the windows and doors randomly detach from the walls. We're getting tired of going back in and reanchoring them.
(We're using Autocad Architecture 2009 on Vista)

Jul 2, 2012I have just installed Production Suite cs6 for Windows 7. I am working in PS and am trying to save files into the favorites like in my windows folder setup. When I save in After Effects CS6 I get that option, but in PS and IL, I do not. Is there a way to change the options in PS to be like in AE? Attached in a photo of AE on the left and PS on the right in their save windows and it looks like PS has just the icons available while AE has a different look altogether. Possibly the “Classic” look.
I just switched from Mac b/c Apple never updated to new Power Macs, just the band aid that they recently did.I am not even sure what to call this. I am assuming the “Navigation pane.”

However. when i export it takes the values from that screen in preference over my specified values in each layer attribute. Explain the items in the export animation export window for me .
GIMP :: GIF Can't Save As Animation
Sep 14, 2013When I try to export my gif the only options are help, export, and cancel. There is no box that says 'save as animation'. I've checked GIMP 2libgimp2.0plug-ins for file-gif-save and file-gif-load and they are both there. I've reinstalled gimp as well.

Mar 15, 2013I am trying to model a window pane with old, crackled paint. First I tried to build something myself, using smoke maps and cellular maps, but couldn't get it to look realistic. So now I found a great texture on CG Textures.
But it is a 2D texture and I can't get it to look right on my 3D window pane. I tried using the map on UV, VW and WU projections, I even made three materials, one for each projection, but I keep getting lines in stead of paint cracks. Maybe it's the tiling, but there I also tried low numbers and high numbers.
Do I need to unwrap the UVs (I did see some that use the standard primitives, but my window is an editable poly).

Jan 3, 2014I have some experience using GIMP but I have just completed my first animation for my wedding invitation.
I have used GAP and am happy with the Playback and am ready to export to gif - something I have successfully done before in smaller images.
However, when I export to/save as gif, only the frame I have open at the time is exporting, not the whole animation. I have tried this on my two different systems - using GIMP 2.8.6 on Windows and 2.8.12 (I think) on Ubuntu but I am still stuck.
I'm not sure what information is relevant but I believe my frames are named correctly (000001.xcf - 000268.xcf) and as I said, the playback is working exactly as I want it to. Just not the gif!
GIMP :: GIF Animation Saves Blurry?
Feb 26, 2013Iv had gimp for awhile but just started messing around with animations. . .trying to make 100 x 100 avatar. Trying to learn as I go. I understand how to make the animation now and I need to change it to index mode etc. but it seems no matter what I do it saves looking smudged/blurry not crisp... not like the preview. I understand there are a limited amount of colors in gif... Iv been doing online searches and trying all the recommendations I seen. Everything from choosing the dithering option to saving each layer (its just 3 layers) as a .gif separately first and then adding them together... nothing seems to work. What else can I try?

Oct 14, 2012Animation! I'm really new to this GAP-program. First I did Video/frames to image and changed (41ms) into (120ms), because the animation was too fast.
Bur after this, it still was too fast, so I changed that manually in the Layers-box (into 170ms - 200ms). (I don't wanted all frames to have the same speed). Speed is now good, but somehow it isn't as smooth anymore.
GIMP :: Single Layer Animation Possible?
Apr 3, 2013I've created a picture with a layer of lava underneath a stone wall which is visible through some of the cracks in the stone. I'm looking to use the rippling animation on ONLY the lava layer while keeping the rest of the layers, i.e. shadows,drop shadow, background, etc. in tact.
Is this possible? I tried several different ways but couldn't make it work. So in other words, I'm only trying to animate only one layer.

May 9, 2010last week I purchased and installed CorelDraw X4. After I had watched the video tutorials I wanted to try out the preview function in the Windows Explorer which should work with Vista and Windows 7. A double click starts Corel X4 properly, but the preview or the thumbnail function doesn't work (message "no preview available"). Curiously the Corel paint Fotos work in the preview pane. Only cdr-files aren't previewed.
In the scrapbook the cdr files are displayed correctly.
how to activate this preview function?
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: No Preview Pane On Open?
May 19, 2013I use Corel Draw x6 running Vista Home Premium. In Windows Explorer, I've never been able to view CDR images as anything but icons. After reading a few forum posts, I experimented with changing the file associations to Windows Photo Gallery and then back again to CD x6. This didn't change the situation.
I've also run into a problem in Tools, Options, Global, Filters, associate. Associations with CDR and WMF won't stay. I check them, but the next time I open Filters, they are unchecked.
I just want to see a thumbnail of a CDR or WMF file before I open it in Corel Draw. I don't even have a preview pane in the open screen. Am I supposed to have a preview pane? All I have is File Name and File Format Type.

Sep 29, 2012I have read several requests from others, as well as the very confusing "answers" to them. Corel's manual shows photos of before/after views in several examples, but there is no info on how to bring them up. Some of the answers here say things like "Use the window" don't know where that is "Simulate a before/after" - Are you kidding? "Click on filters" - doesn't work Use Adjust menu.
WHY does Corel show all those samples but not have a way to do it?On page 130 of the PaintShop Pro X4 manual, there is a discussion and a picture of a Before/After situation, but nowhere is there any info on how to bring it up.
