View 1 Replies Sometimes, we just don't know there's a better way to do stuff, and others can point it out. Perhaps we'll come up with something useful that Corel can pass back to Graebert for inclusion within ARES. :)
I'd like to see a 3D font that could be placed on objects and extruded as a solid, so that text could be added or removed from objects as a 3D image. So that a minimum width could be assigned to the font, to allow text to be added as a raised or inlaid surface to 3D designs...
After successfully using Corel Draw for some years, I am suddenly unable to print files. Instead of the file, my printers just print a black page. I have tried re-installing but it has not worked.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I am printing my design, the black is not printing. Have tried on two printers, neither are faulty. Wondered if I accidentally have it on a setting that doesn't allow it to print black.

I recently upgraded my setup and my printer hasn't been able to print a nice true black ever since. My printer is a Roland SP 300 V and I use Versaworks. I upgraded to CorelDRAW x5 from version 11. When I send an eps file to Versaworks the printer prints a dark gray on RGB black and various greens for Pantone blacks. I printed a default test chart directly in Versaworks and the 100% K printed great. I pulled an older file out which was exported using Corel 11 and the black prints fine. I don't know if I'm doing something obvious wrong or what but x5 has a whole more check boxes and options when exporting an eps file and I'm starting to get lost.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI do a lot of CD designs, and often I have my text centered on the front covers. When I put the text centered, however, PSP is added an extra space to the end of text, so when I center it on the canvas the text is actually off-center to the left. When I go into edit the text, there is no space on the right of the words to delete.
With the text selected this is how it looks: The right edge of the frame should be flush with the right edge of the last 'T'.
I have variable text that I need to print using the Print Merge in CDX6. One field of text requires that the "kerning" be set at +30. No problem in my template. However, after I have create the print merge to a new file, the kerning is gone.
What I am missing that will force the text "kerning" or spacing as in the original?
Haven't had this issue until today (after I installed the recent patches)
I created an image 3.004" x 2.0"
I go to print, select my plotter, select print range "selection", go to preferences>advanced, set my paper size to PostScript Custom Page Size, make my paper 3.05x2.05 for a little extra boarder. Back in Print I set my Layout to Preposition to Center of Page which un-greys the position options and now it tells me my image size is 5.1"x2.0 and the Print Preview is showing the center of the image beginning at the left edge of the page...
Mind you, this is the same style of setup I've done numerous times per day for the past 5 years with x6 and x4...magically today it does not center my select graphic to the center of the page. If I put the graphic in the middle of the workpage and tell it to position as in document, it is not an issue, but if the graphic is else where on the workpage, it refuses to center..
Many times I am unable to see the dotted line of paragraph text handle while editing in it. Why it is so. I am using coreldraw x5

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using MS Windows System 7 and printing onto two networked printers, a Lexmark Pro205 and a HPD7460, It seems that when I have finished setting up a page of texts and inserts for a publication the page looks good on the screen and on the PRINT PREVIEW window of either PRINTER software but some of it does not print. The left side of the two column page prints OK but the right side is blank after the first line. The text that flows from page to page to page seems to be alright and the inserts that are not part of the flow text that has been inserted as wrap around text (surround) prints. The is simple missing. The next page of the same article is doing the same thing.
I originally had this problem in another document on the HP but not the Lexmark. Now I have it on both printers in this document.
I was wondering if there are control characters that the printers are acting upon during the print function. Can one see all the control functions on a page before printing or at will?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed Corel 13 to my new computer, but it isn't recognizing the text in any of the files from my previous computer. Granted, the files on my previous computer were in an older version of Corel, but that shouldn't be an issue. I can add text to a new document, but even when importing a pdf, the text in the file disappears.
If you drag to select the area where the text should be, it recognizes that something is there. However, you can't see anything or do anything with it. I ran the repair on the installation CD, but I am still having the same problem.
Using CD X6 (d/l version).
I have a list - want to apply bullets, but cannot.
I've tried changing fonts, but bullets are greyed out in the paragraph section of text properties box for every font I choose. I've selected many fonts ... still ... no bullets.

I am using Coreldraw X5. Previously I had corel x3 now there is problem with the new version of corel the color display is not proper that is the colors yellow appears to be deep yellow in corel x5 where as if I save the file & open it in corel x3 the yellow color appears properly. I mean to say that there is always a darkish tone added to all colors in corel x5. Both corel x3 & x5 are on the same PC as I am facing this display problem I have to switch back to X3.
View 7 Replies View Relatedwe have an old Docucolor 12 that runs with a Fiery X12 printer server. After we upgraded to Corel Draw X5, we are no longer able to add this machine as a scan source. I found similar posts for Draw X6 stating that it might be a 32bit/64bit problem. Woud that be the case for X5 too?
