Feb 15, 2014What is the best place to start learning Elements? Also, can I create a text only image in Elements to print to canvass (i.e. inspirational quotes, etc.)?

Photoshop :: Panoramic Image/canvas/print Size ?
Apr 30, 2009I have a Epson R2880 and want to print a series of panoramic prints on it, i have set up the print to be 8x24 inches. When I open the panoramic and give it the size of the paper, CS3 automatically resizes the print, so if i set the image to 8x24 the height of the actual picture is either 8x40 or 3.78x24 .... is there a way to get a real 8x24 print or will CS3 always resize to a fixed set of dimensions ?

Nov 19, 2012ONLY--now when I go to the layer I made the original changes on in Text, it refuses to let me type new ones. The little symbol shows up and the long line for text size and placement, but it will not take the text.
My mentor who is out of pocket right now--hey you know who you are!--said I should try using esc because I probably had a selection hanging around. So I did--and did--and did. Even used ctrl z a few times thrown in! No luck.
I did manage to "fool" pdn enough to copy and post one of the text pieces I need, but no more. It's on to me.
I don't want to post a scrnshot because I don't want this particular thing on a public site like Photobucket. With my mentor we've been able to use email and attachments.
why the text tool won't work beyond placement and flashing vertical line.

May 12, 2011I am currently working on a texture for a turtle that will be used on a model in 3ds Max. I am a moderate to expert level user of Photoshop, in my own opinion, but still have much to learn.
My question today is this. Is there a way to create an image and then use the brush to recreate it randomly over and over again on a canvas? This question is in regards to the scales I am making for the turtle texture. The brush has a whole slew of tools for changing the size, orientation, and scattering of the brush so I was wondering if it is possible to use my scale image with it somehow?
I have attempted to use the pattern stamp tool but it spaces them so far apart and there is no control like you get with the brush tool.

But every-time I resize the image to 1.5 cm and the canvas size to 4 cms more (5.5 cm) when I come to print it (luckily haven't printed on expensive special paper yet) the settings change and it comes out bigger?

The Anchor in the Canvas Size menu appears outlined (highlighted?) which indicates that this is something in preferences that I can adjust.

Aug 3, 2013I have an image (1200mm x 1200mm) very sharp and crisp. (A photo that i have worked on and has lots of detail) I drag this image onto a canvas size of 150mm x150mm - and the image loses all of its sharpness. It is not apparent until i zoom in to see the detail. (PSE10) I'm sure that there is a box somewhere to tick..........but i cannot find it.
when i drag it over, it is still the large size, so i grab the grips/handles and shrink to fit, then it pixelates?

Aug 24, 2012When I go to crop or move an image close to the edge of the canvas it jumps to the edge. I am having trouble especially with cropping the space between the image and the edge of the canvas the way I want it. turning off this jumping to edge problem I'm having?
Also, I've used CS4 a fair bit and haven't come across this same problem but in PE when I'm editing things like adjusting text on a layer and I'm changing options with hotkeys to resize the text box for eg, Elements seems to jump to the background layer quite alot and then I have to click back on the layer I want to edit between changing tools. Is it something to do with the Esc key?
Photoshop :: Print A 22"x40" Print On Canvas Using CS5 With Epson 7600?
Jan 19, 2012I am trying to print a 22"x40" print on canvas using CS5 with the Epson 7600. The image prints fine until about 2/3 of the way thru and then it just stops. This has happened 3Xs now.
On first attempt the resolution was set at 300dpi and the file was about 400+mb.I've flattened the image and reduced the resolution to 200 making the file about 120mb. Same problem!
I printed the same image (at the larger size) on paper without any problem.

Now, there is a blue box that doesn't move and the image is cut off by the bounderies if you drag it away from center.
