View 2 RepliesLightroom 4 consistently crashes every time I attempt to print a contact sheet containing over 12 images. Any less and the task is completed without error, any more and it inevitably crashes.
My workaround has been to export the images and create large contact sheets in Photoshop CS6, but this takes twice as long. This is a daily task and is significantly disrupting my workflow.
Can you change the order of images in contact sheet in Lightroom 4 Print module?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I choose Print in Paint.NET I am offered several layout options, including a 9 picture 'wallet' and 35 picture 'contact sheet'.
I want to use one of these to view several pictures together rather than wasting paper and ink, but I can't find out where to select the multiple pictures.
Years ago, there was a program of routine that would plot files to a sheet resembling a photographer’s contact sheet. You would tell it which folder to use and it would print the entire folder. You could tell it how many rows and columns and it would fill up the 8.5 x 11 or 11 x 17 sheet with little images of the files.
View 2 Replies View Relatedway to to automate a workflow as follows:
1. drop or select a folder of pics (sometimes up to 200 images)
2. create a contact sheet - just like the "File > Automate > Contact Sheet II" (I make contact sheets/proofs of 2-4 images per page)
3. print all the contact sheets on 8.5x11" sheets of paper
4. close contact sheets w/o saving.
I can't seem to combine the Contact Sheet II with other actions.
Alternatively I could continue to create my contact sheets with the existing Contact Sheet II tool, then save, then drag to print window/icon - but it would be much easier to handle it one step.
I also looked for Automator actions and can't seem to nail this thing. I even considered iPhoto - it does this "standard prints" thing which works great but I need the file names in the contact sheets (bummer).

Can't print captions in contact sheet with multiple photos in MAC OS Adobe Photoshop10
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my photos organized into albums. I would like to print a contact sheet for each album, but would like it to include the album name. This seems like a very basic part of organizing, but it's not overly apparent how to do it. I would also like to resize the caption font on the contact sheet, too.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was recently shown how to create contact sheet pdf's in Lightroom 4 which could be emailed to clients onto which they could comment and return.

I have found that if you publish to single-sheet .pdf's and then combine the .pdf's into one file using Acrobat, each sheet is bookmarked using the name of the individual files for the bookmark names. However, if you publish to a multi-sheet .pdf, no bookmarks are created. Is there any way to create multi-sheet .pdf's in AutoCad and have bookmarks automatically inserted (using the name of the layout as the bookmark name)?

Cannot find any way to save a contact sheet?
This is an issue for which no one in my office has any solution. We create all of our plan sets on E1 size paper. However, when we plot them for redlines we print to C-size to save paper. I know you can "publish selected layouts" to plot numerous tabs at a time. However, I am unable to figure out how to make them plot to a smaller size paper than what the page is set up for. Is there a way to plot all of the tabs at a smaller scale without plotting each tab individually?
We just recently upgraded to AutoCad 2014.

I've been able to use the contact print area in earlier lightroom programs to create nice grid posters of events, characters in a play, etc. without any type under the images ie frame #s etc. I'm stuck in LR4 and can't get rid of the type and also can't seem to expand out the images to fill the white space in the poster to have just a grid, perhaps with some dark lines around the images. Is there a way to do this in LR4? or do I have to do the whole thing in Photoshop or in design.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen it's time to print and save contact / index sheets, Lightroom enters another dimension.
Workflow as normal up to this point: Import (with 1:1 previews) a folder of NEF+JPGs, maybe a hundred or two. Edit, rename and export. Enter the Print module and setup (for the thousandth time) a contact sheet showing maybe 30-50 pics per page.
Select "Draft Mode Printing" and hit PRINT and sit. The "preparing print job" progress bar appears and starts to tick off images, at about 10 seconds apiece. In LR2 this *entire process* took 1-2 seconds. So, an hour and a half later, my contact sheets are ready. I could hand-draw them faster.
It does it in LR3, LR3.2 and LR 3.3. It *never* did it in LR1-2.7.

I am trying to print contact sheets in Bridge using keywords and/or star ratings from Lightroom. I'm doing that because rendering is incredibly slow if I try to do the same thing in LR even when I choose 240 ppi in the menu.
In Lightroom, I have selected "automatically write changes into XMP. For the folder and subfolders I'm working with, I have selected all of the images and hit command S to write all of the images into metadata. I've done this with the whole folder and with all of the subfolders as well. None of the star ratings show up in Bridge.
When I open Bridge, some of the folders show the keywords while others that I have processed the exact same way do not. All of the images are NEFs shot with at Nikon D800.
I've also tried opening and closing Bridge as well as purging the cache.
I'm on a Macbook Pro early 2011 running OS 10.8.6.
"Contact page" when images get transported on to page they reduce in size.I have also tried dragging the pictures onto the page but they still reduce in size.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy work entails regenerating new drawings from aging specification drawings and figures. Very little actual CAD, more hand-tracing JPGs than anything. I'm new to AutoCAD LT and haven't used most of its features. But the one feature I really need right now is to be able to print a black box on a sheet of paper.
As in, a 2-D closed polygon with a solid black fill. Unfortunately, AutoCAD LT doesn't think I should be allowed to print a black box on a sheet of paper.
I've tried assigning the color to the box using properties. I've tried defining layers and moving the box to the "black" layer (funny that "black" isn't a defined color in AutoCAD...that's way cool...). I've tried various settings in the Plotter setup screen.
I have a color plot table selected and I'm trying to print to .PDF. I work strictly out of the model view and do a lot of print previews. What am I, or have I, done, or not done, that I'm supposed to be doing, to print the box?
I bought a program called ImageBuddy just to create contact sheets. I'd like to use Contact Sheet II in CS, since you can customze everything...BUT...
This is huge...I routinely create contact sheets of 500+ images. Photoshop takes FOREVER to create them and it keeps the canvas open as it creates. By the time it's finished, my system has come to a crawl, it's a miracle it doesn't just crash.
Is there anyway to save the pages as they are created, freeing up system resources? ImageBuddy will let you set up all the parameters for a contact sheet and then create it as ONE PDF using OS-X's output options. Seems Adobe has really dropped the ball on this one?
I have only had my CS4 for three days. The first time I used it I had access to the Contact Sheet in the File>Automate list. Today it is no longer there. I rebooted the computer and it still is not there. What gives? Everything else seems ok, except it wants me to upgrade my video card, which I did before I installed CS4. My video card is an Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT.

It makes the proof sheet just fine, however, what I am not able to do is edit the text colour or style of the caption of each photo.
For instance, i'd like my photos to be on a black background, but because the caption text is also black, it's not legible.
I've got 32 PSD files of a customers paintings that we use to make greeting cards. She just turned 100 last week and her daughter in law came in to pick some up and asked if we could make a sheet with small versions of the paintings on them with the file names so that she can remember them. She thought we only had 5. I told her we have more like 30. So the old lady doesn't know what we do and don't have here.
Since they are Photoshop files, I can't just toss em into iPhoto to create a contact sheet. I guess I could do a batch convert to JPG on all of them and then drop those into iPhoto but is there a way to do this within Photoshop? just open up all 32 PSD files and create some sort of a contact sheet with file names under each image? Maybe 6 to a page?
