Using CD X6 (d/l version).
I have a list - want to apply bullets, but cannot.
I've tried changing fonts, but bullets are greyed out in the paragraph section of text properties box for every font I choose. I've selected many fonts ... still ... no bullets.
A lot of the time I like bullets to be a different colour to their following text. In past versions you could highlight the bullet and pick a colour from the palette. You had to do it with each individual bullet which was a pain, but it could be done. Now if you highlight a bullet and then click a colour, nothing happens. I was hoping that this might be because they'd added a function to choose bullet colour elsewhere (such as in the Bullets window), but apparently not.

Issue: When I select a bullet, the first one works - I then hit return and the next bullet is a ? with box around it. Looks almost like the program lost it's source path for the bullet to me?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just installed Corel 13 to my new computer, but it isn't recognizing the text in any of the files from my previous computer. Granted, the files on my previous computer were in an older version of Corel, but that shouldn't be an issue. I can add text to a new document, but even when importing a pdf, the text in the file disappears.
If you drag to select the area where the text should be, it recognizes that something is there. However, you can't see anything or do anything with it. I ran the repair on the installation CD, but I am still having the same problem.
In my one file I am unable to do copy and past command in paragraph text mode in one particular paragraph text handle. Can't find the reason. But in same file with new artistic or paragraph text handle I can do copy and past.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried to apply a transparency to a beveled rectangle and was unsuccessful to get any effect to apply. Tried to make the bevel first and then apply transparency and vice-versa, a transparent rectagle and tried to do bevel effect. Neither way would work.
Don't they play nice together, or do I have to try it in PP?
Is there any way to quickly apply uniform transparency at a given percentage, without going through the properties bar?

I want to save EVERYTHING, hotkeys, default new documents, default and custom palletes, macros, command customizations were I have applied certain hotkeys like ctrl+m or whatever to run those custom made macros/vba scripts, things like snap to grid, snap to object, wether or not to save backups and if so how often, etc... Bascialy ABSOLUTLEY EVERYTHING.
I tried copying CorelDrw.ini, coreldrw.env, and GlobalMacros from my home computer from the folder:
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 12Draw
and then pasting it into the same folder on my work machine, clicking OK when asked if I want to replace the already existing files there. Some things worked, some things seemed not to. For example, the macros i wrote copied over fine, but the hot key association i made for them didnt, i had to set that up again in Customization.
I would love to find out how I can really back up all my settings so I can simply copy them over to my work machine instead of taking a couple hours to re-enter everything in. Also, I think all serious corel users would want to keep a backup copy handy in case they ever have to re-install corel or if they buy a new computer, etc.
Can you apply tranparency to a stroke made by artistic media? his seems like it should be possible... I've been told to use the transparency tool for my type of transparency needs... but I can't find a way to get this to work. It would be handy... in PS, you just adjust the transparency slider for the object or layer. In Draw, how is this done specifically for an artistic media brush stroke?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I checked my computer for any any unused programs I got see this coreldraw (r) graphics suite x5 installed. When I got to uninstall it showed and error message that some sort of setup.xml is missing. When I checked this programs folder I got to see that there are two corel folders [Corel and Corel (2) ] in my C: drive. After checking all the file locations of different corel applications I deleted the Corel (2) foder. After that also corel was not being uninstalled. I don't want to re-format my computer only for this

I make a rectangle. Choose the colour from the palette, drag the little coloured box over to the rectangle and release. Nothing. Many years ago I used my brothers Corel draw, so I know ( or knew then ) how to colour a rectangle.
I'm not able to assign a Hotkey to enable me to use Corel Capture. No matter what I use, it tells me that the Hotkey is already being used by this system. I have deleted Hotkeys and then then tried to reassign them to no avail.

For some reason, I can't use the wheel to zoom in or out. Just doesn't work. The drivers are installed, and the wheel works fine in all other applications, but absolutely refuses to cooperate in CorelDraw X6.2 (had this issue since CorelDraw 6).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a long time user of Corel products (well, since Corel 4). I have been running Corel 12 for several years, as financially, as a pensioner it is not viable to keep up grading and 12 has been perfectly adequate. I am on Windows 7 Home premium, and I know that 12 was not designed for that platform, however it has been operation satisfactorily since 7 came out. Today, It has crashed, and I am unable to open photopaint at all either from the shortcut or the program list.
(Corel Draw, which is the only other part of the suite I use) appears to open and be available. I tried to repair with the original disk to no avail, so that having failed I did an uninstall, cleared the caches the temporary files and did a clean install. Corel Draw is still working, but Paint will not open at all. The logo appears then totally disappears after a few seconds leaving the desktop clear. There has been no changes to the computer recently and until last night the program was working fine.
I am using Windows Vista 32 bit OS.
I have used the X6 graphics suite for some time now and have always installed updates when notified. A couple of days ago I was notified of the latest update which I duly installed.
Thereafter I was unable to open Coreldraw. I was unable to resolve the issue by reverting to a previous versions from as few days previous. I have done this by using the usual windows uninstall facility.
However, when I try to reinstall the X6 suite from the CD I get an error message that says "A newer version of this program is installed. Delete this first before you install this version" (or words to that effect).
Clearly there is something that indicates a later version is installed but I cant find out why I am getting this message. I have endeavoured to delete everything I find associated with X6 but after rebooting I still can't reinstall the software.

Whenever i save a file, and then try to open it later on, it wont open. Nothing happens (just like I haven't clicked anything). It does this is I double click the file or I do File >Open. However if i save the file as 'Version 13' it opens fine. I decided to re-install Corel Draw (a number of times), but the problem is still there!

My question is why I cannot fill shapes like the one provided whether I create them in Draw, or import them as dwg or dxf into Draw. It's interesting that I can fill this shape in DesignCad (the source of the dwg-dxf files) but not in Corel. Of course, the project I'm working on needs the other touches that Draw provides and DesignCad doesn't.
