View 1 RepliesI am trying to use the break apart blend tool and every time it says corel has a problem & shuts down my X4?

How to reproduce the error:
Create a new document.Convert it to 48 Bit RGB mode.Fill the document with any colour.Create a new object and use a brush to apply some contrasting colour.Select the Blend tool and try to blend with it.On my machine the cursor will draw black instead of blending.
Is there a way to apply a color to selected objects without having to search for the color in the color palette. So say if I am working with an image that has multiple colors but want to use only one of the colors in that image, is there a way to apply it without having to create or add it to the palette.

I want to learn how to blend these pictures together so that the colors flow more naturally. They were all taken with the same camera within about a minute of each other, but the difference if appearance is mind blowing. I goofed around a bit with the Equalization options, but didn't achieve satisfactory results.
I spent quite a bit of time modeling up a male sided mold to press skateboards in a vaccum bag. I want to create a female mold from this file, but need to make sure there is a 1/2" off set to account for board thickness. I've looked at derive and mold but since I have zero experience with either command I have spent hours going in circles.
The attached picture is what my mold looks like. Just a big rectangle that is 2" thick with some rounded contours cut on the top.
I need to know how to draw an NPTF pipe thread, male and female. In 2D. Any good reference book would be welcome. An NPT thread differs slightly from that of an NPTF, but thats OK. I have AUTOCAD 2002. I am trying to update some of our drawings at work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to make the threads match on a male and female part. Using a tap size chart, I made a hole 31.5 mm in diameter. Then I added interior threads with a tap size M33 x1.5. How do I determine the diameter of the male part before adding threads? Would it also be 31.5 mm? I plan on 3d printing these parts, so I've also been using the thread modeler tool.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes Inventor actually model threads? That is, would it produce a usable male or female thread if 3D printed?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a circle which is blended.
In the circle is some text, rounded - not circle text, it is placed on top rather than typed in the circle directly.
I need to edit the text and it won't let me select it! No matter how far I zoom in to make sure I'm clicking the text, the circle gets selected and the blend tool opens.
They are not grouped or anything. This has happened before many times and with much persistance I get there eventually - but is there a much faster way?
Which tool to use and how to use it for the effect below:
I am trying to simulate the radius edge along the curve such that it looks like it is a 3D object raised off the surface with drop-shadow (c). I want to retain the curved line (b) and the 90 degree corners (a) The object has a three-colour graduated fill.
CorelDraw X5.
EDIT: I am a bit closer using the contour tool but not quite right yet and I can't add a drop-shadow to a contour group and I want to make the 'white' section a bit wider.:

I have an arc shape that I'm trying to fill with a gradient-type blend where it will be 0% spot on the lower left side gradually going around to 100% spot on the lower right side. The example I have attached shows the shape on the left with a conical fountain just to give an idea of something close, but it won't actually work for my shape. I also attached a cdr X5 file which contains a blend I was working on, but can't seem to get it to work (that is the shape on the right). I tried cutting it in half which works, but I still can't get it.
I have a background image with Linear transparency applied on the top of my image. I would like to replicate the same transparency on the bottom of the image. How can I do this?

I have a list - want to apply bullets, but cannot.
I've tried changing fonts, but bullets are greyed out in the paragraph section of text properties box for every font I choose. I've selected many fonts ... still ... no bullets.

View 5 Replies View Relatedwhat to copy from my home installation of Coreldraw 12 so I can put it on the installation I use at work. I want to save EVERYTHING, hotkeys, default new documents, default and custom palletes, macros, command customizations were I have applied certain hotkeys like ctrl+m or whatever to run those custom made macros/vba scripts, things like snap to grid, snap to object, wether or not to save backups and if so how often, etc... Bascialy ABSOLUTLEY EVERYTHING.
I tried copying CorelDrw.ini, coreldrw.env, and GlobalMacros from my home computer from the folder:
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 12Draw
and then pasting it into the same folder on my work machine, clicking OK when asked if I want to replace the already existing files there. Some things worked, some things seemed not to. For example, the macros i wrote copied over fine, but the hot key association i made for them didnt, i had to set that up again in Customization.
I would love to find out how I can really back up all my settings so I can simply copy them over to my work machine instead of taking a couple hours to re-enter everything in. Also, I think all serious corel users would want to keep a backup copy handy in case they ever have to re-install corel or if they buy a new computer, etc.
Graphics department is having a problem with Franklin Gothic Medium Condensed Font.
Font has extra space trackings in Corel x6. Is there a specific menu setting i should have to fix this?
Is it because it is an open face font?
I have encountered a problem with the bevel effect of corel draw that I can't seem to resolve. I have a vector image and I convert to curves. Click on effects/bevel/soft edge bevel. I set my distance, I set my shadow colour & light colour and when I apply the bevel it changes the face colour to a murky combination of the original vector colour/shadow colour & light colour. I do not want to change the face colour of the text in any way.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using Illustrator CC (on a Win7 Pro machine) at a beginner level, probably halfway to intermediate. I'm trying to learn how to blend colors together for highlights of various types (skin tones, clothing, light on objects, etc.) so that when I'm making a graphic for a project I'll have a decent idea of which tool/technique is best for the specific effect I need.
I'm trying to use the Smooth Color option in the blend tool. Late yesterday afternoon I recall creating two ellipses (one of which was a solid fill and one of which was a gradient going from black to transparent) and getting a smooth color transition between the two. It was a much harsher effect than I was looking for so I didn't keep it. This morning, while trying to replicate the same thing, I seem to be unable to use smooth color between two objects if one or more of them has a gradient applied. I only get what you see below, which is a step between the two objects.
I've done searches and found multiple references to blending gradients in this way and have followed those instructions (create the shapes, fill with the gradients, then either click on the Blend tool and click on the center of each shape, or click on Object -> Blend -> Make) but I can't seem to get a Smooth Color blend if either object has a gradient applied. Am I missing an important step somewhere? I'm 95% sure I accomplished it yesterday and nothing has been changed since then.
Can you apply tranparency to a stroke made by artistic media? his seems like it should be possible... I've been told to use the transparency tool for my type of transparency needs... but I can't find a way to get this to work. It would be handy... in PS, you just adjust the transparency slider for the object or layer. In Draw, how is this done specifically for an artistic media brush stroke?

View 14 Replies View Related1. First question: I need to apply Mesh Fill effect to a circular vector (ring) which was built with the Combine command (Ctrl + L), but Mesh Fill is not allowed for objects combined. Is there any alternative for this?
2. Second question: How to make that mesh nodes has the circular shape of the figure (in this case, a ring)?(By clicking on the object, it creates a mesh grid and edit the nodes to obtain a circular form is very laborious and the result is not satisfactory).
I still use Corel Draw 12 and my question is is there an easy or automatic way to make the outline color of an object the same color as the fill color? I do it the hard way of trial and error until I get the right outline color from the color dock/pallette.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm having a major issue here, I use custom colors (created in my custom palette), X^ used to hold it very nicely, even in PDF exports etc.
Now - with the latest update, X6 "forgets" the custom colors, it resets it to default color, I have to manually set every object to the custom color all over again.
Is there anyway to transform a 4-color CorelDraw picture into a 2-color one at reasonably good quality?
The problem I met is at the galley.
I could, or might, only be able to get a 2-color printer at reasonably good price.
The original design is 4-color. But the actual detail is not very important.
They are book covers, which only need to protect the book.
