Jan 28, 2012this is not for the faint harted as it involves editing the Registry file in Windows.The location of the program list that shows up in the Launcher is:HKEY_Local_MachineSoftwareCorelAppLauncherOnce there make a copy of the key by exporting it .. JUST In case ...Right click in the right pane to create a NEW .. String ValueGive it the name of the file you want in the drop down list in Corel .. Then right click it to modify the value. Paste the location of the program you want to Open in the Value data. I put in ThumbView (a StTex program that I use for the fact it give Corel Thumbnails that are the best I have seen) I also add X-Fonter as once more it is the best Font Manager I have come across. I also deleted the barcode program.
The programs show up in Corel by the time they were put into the registry not the order shown in it.

Oct 15, 2007I've got the following error message when I try to open CD file on Windows 2003 using CD 12.
" CORELDRW.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x016ae2df" referenced memory at "0x00000006". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program "
It's showing when I open .cdr file.Sometimes it is showing from time to time, but on some files it's showing everytime.

Apr 12, 2011 I have a partitioned mac that i am running windows 7 on. I've had no problems with corel and all of a sudden when I go to open the program it won't open past "Creating Application Environment" and I get an error message stating problem open corel.
I have tried the f8 thing, no luck, I have tried the uninstall reinstall, no luck, I've tried the run registry, no parasite.

Mar 23, 2011I tried to apply a transparency to a beveled rectangle and was unsuccessful to get any effect to apply. Tried to make the bevel first and then apply transparency and vice-versa, a transparent rectagle and tried to do bevel effect. Neither way would work.
Don't they play nice together, or do I have to try it in PP?

Disregard what I wrote above. But for some of these mysteries of the computer, I´ve got it: CTRL + SPACE BAR works!. Do not ask how that happened, because I did nothing different from what I had been done before. It just worked. I guess that myself or CorelDRAW were not in a good day. (But still think it was the CorelDRAW - lol).

Aug 6, 2011what to copy from my home installation of Coreldraw 12 so I can put it on the installation I use at work. I want to save EVERYTHING, hotkeys, default new documents, default and custom palletes, macros, command customizations were I have applied certain hotkeys like ctrl+m or whatever to run those custom made macros/vba scripts, things like snap to grid, snap to object, wether or not to save backups and if so how often, etc... Bascialy ABSOLUTLEY EVERYTHING.
I tried copying CorelDrw.ini, coreldrw.env, and GlobalMacros from my home computer from the folder:
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 12Draw
and then pasting it into the same folder on my work machine, clicking OK when asked if I want to replace the already existing files there. Some things worked, some things seemed not to. For example, the macros i wrote copied over fine, but the hot key association i made for them didnt, i had to set that up again in Customization.
I would love to find out how I can really back up all my settings so I can simply copy them over to my work machine instead of taking a couple hours to re-enter everything in. Also, I think all serious corel users would want to keep a backup copy handy in case they ever have to re-install corel or if they buy a new computer, etc.

Right now i have two options:

Jun 9, 2011complete Corel X4 uninstall 3 times already .... even went so far as to reboot the registry to a date before I installed Corel X4 Suite to no avail.
The program has had no issues until the last 2 weeks. The actual issue I am having is Paint works fine as a separate entity however when I try to edit a bitmap from within X4 an error pops up telling me "Failed to launch server application" This is a major PITB as I own a graphics company and this is causing no end of problems
