it is possible to change the background color of the application window ?
I would like the whole area outside the drawing window (the drawing page) to be grey, so that it can be clearly distiinguished from the actual drawing page, which is white, with a shadow line around the drawing page.
I have a client who is waiting for a flyer design i did. So i created a christmas flyer. It looks nice with christmas colors and all. When i go to convert it into a jpeg in photo paint, the green changes to lime green and the other colors change as well. To florescent vibrant type. This just started happening recently. When i played around with settings, i saw something about RGB, CMYK (which dulls everything).

If you look at the Property Manager Window with Artistic Text selected go to the 5th tab (format). On the bottom is background color: with two drp downs. One for textbox background and one for character background.
I would like to be able to change these settings in a macro. I think this line is finding the text on the graphic, now I need to change the background.

I use Corel Draw X5 while at work and to do the particular task needed I have to have the stroke set to COLOR: RED, and WIDTH: HAIRLINE, MILLIMETERS. How to set the program to jump to these settings as a default upon opening all files.

JUST In case ...Right click in the right pane to create a NEW .. String ValueGive it the name of the file you want in the drop down list in Corel .. Then right click it to modify the value. Paste the location of the program you want to Open in the Value data. I put in ThumbView (a StTex program that I use for the fact it give Corel Thumbnails that are the best I have seen) I also add X-Fonter as once more it is the best Font Manager I have come across. I also deleted the barcode program.
The programs show up in Corel by the time they were put into the registry not the order shown in it.
Is it possible apply a shortcut to BFN in Application Launcher. If so, how do I do that?

It's showing when I open .cdr file.Sometimes it is showing from time to time, but on some files it's showing everytime.
When I try and launch Corel Draw x6 in 32 or 64 bit mode I get this error
The application was unable to start correctly (0X0000142) . Click ok to close application. Try this as a trial first before I buy I purchased x3 and x4 they wont work on windows 7. Cant get it to launch

I have a partitioned mac that i am running windows 7 on. I've had no problems with corel and all of a sudden when I go to open the program it won't open past "Creating Application Environment" and I get an error message stating problem open corel.
I have tried the f8 thing, no luck, I have tried the uninstall reinstall, no luck, I've tried the run registry, no parasite.
Every time I open a new file a new Corel Draw application opens. Is there a setting I can change to have the files open in the same application?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 trying to use PowerTrace to trace a bitmap image. The PowerTrace window does not display when I select the object; go to Trace Bitmap --> Outline Trace --> and choose one of the types to trace. No window pops up. I can only press ESC to exit the action or ENTER which does a trace but apparently a Quick trace, not giving me the chance to refine the trace.
I'm up-to-date on fixes that I know of. Version is 15.2.0.695.
complete Corel X4 uninstall 3 times already .... even went so far as to reboot the registry to a date before I installed Corel X4 Suite to no avail.
The program has had no issues until the last 2 weeks. The actual issue I am having is Paint works fine as a separate entity however when I try to edit a bitmap from within X4 an error pops up telling me "Failed to launch server application" This is a major PITB as I own a graphics company and this is causing no end of problems

Why am I not getting Exact and Accurate Dimension while Exporting the file to PSD Format? Do I need to Enable or Disable something?
I am ready to print my stuff. But I have to manually use the pick tool in the print preview window to move my pages around so that they will print the stuff in the center of the pages.
I do my print run. And then save the "Print style".
Come back the next day and I have to re-do all the adjusting of the work again so that it all gets printed. I would have thought that saving a print style would make it so that next time everything is the same as before.
I am wondering, if is possible to move content of print preview window. View picture for better understanding. In version X4 it was possible.

Therefore I have to find the desired bjects to be selected in object manager lying in haphazard order. Is there a way , the objects don’t get dragged while making a selection window from left to right. That means, the objects get selected which are present in the selection window only.

I recently decided to start using bit stream font navigator, how every when I first opened it and went through the wizard process, I wasn't thinking clearly and I had all my fonts saved to a flash drive. Well know i went to actually use the font catalog and it shows all my 400 plus fonts but there not usable. I keep getting a window that says to insert disc. Even though I have my flash drive plugged in and also moved a folder with all the fonts to my desk top, it still will not recognize the fonts. I have searched and tried a couple things with no luck. I'm running X6 on Windows 8.

On the main working screen I type in the specific dimensions of the text that I want to cut ( I have a graphtec cutter). When I pull up "Cut/Plot" in the dialog box under Job Size....the size is NEVER what I have specified. It is normally smaller.I will then type the dimensions into the Job Size field and cut the letter. BUT when I cut the letter......it is not the size I typed into the job size.

Is there anyway to move the default locations, perhaps by a registry hack? I'd like to move it, at least to the AppData folder or even to another drive where it is easier to backup/make changes.
