The company i work for has full dye sublimated uniforms. our customer base would really like to use photographs on their shirts but we are unable to control the colors. We have a color palette that our factory uses to color match everything. how do i change colors in photoshop (channels) to match our color palette in corel so that there is consistency and the images don't appear washed out or flat.?
View 1 RepliesI am creating a CMYK document. After converting a reference photo to CMYK I imported it into my DRAW file. I will use that to pick colors.
The problem: the eyedropper tools work correctly capturing CMYK colors as long as it is not in a powerclip. If I place that image in a powerclip the eyedropper tool only sees RGB.
Is there a setting somewhere that I need to make or am I stuck just working outside of the Powerclip? I have plenty of alternative ways to workaround this issue, just didn't know if this was a bug or something.
CORRECTION: It's not the Powerclip at all. It has to do with whether or not I have the layer locked. Unlocked = CMYK, locked=RGB. ?
Also, changing the Edit Across Layers setting seems to be a problem as well.
I've got a problem where 'embed color profiles' keeps turning back on. But not just for me, everyone at my company. If you don't notice, then it ads 500+ K that's half a meg and on 1000's of drawings.
Idea for sorting through all of my CDR files and striping out the color profiles without opening each one by hand?
Current System: i3 3.07ghz, 3gb ram, Windows 7 32 bit with all updates and X6
We hit a weird snag. All our text used to be 100% black (c=0 m=0 y=0 & k=100) On opening files the black is now a mixture of CMYK.We changed default color profiles last week. Could this effect all files? f so - what are the original clr setting for Coreldraw X5 or how can we reset them?

When i go to convert it into a jpeg in photo paint, the green changes to lime green and the other colors change as well. To florescent vibrant type. This just started happening recently. When i played around with settings, i saw something about RGB, CMYK (which dulls everything).

If you look at the Property Manager Window with Artistic Text selected go to the 5th tab (format). On the bottom is background color: with two drp downs. One for textbox background and one for character background.
I would like to be able to change these settings in a macro. I think this line is finding the text on the graphic, now I need to change the background.

On the main working screen I type in the specific dimensions of the text that I want to cut ( I have a graphtec cutter). When I pull up "Cut/Plot" in the dialog box under Job Size....the size is NEVER what I have specified. It is normally smaller.I will then type the dimensions into the Job Size field and cut the letter. BUT when I cut the letter......it is not the size I typed into the job size.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to figure out how to accurately display the current rotation angle of an object in DRAW X6. Based on my drawing precision settings, the angular accuracy is there, but it's not properly displayed.
IE - If I type in 5.05 deg rotation, it will DISPLAY 5.1 but will actually be 5.05.
Is there a way to update the display to show more than one decimal place for rotation?
When I copy and paste a block of text, and then use the x and y coordinates to move it into position, the text characteristics change. It becomes all caps, and italicized text becomes non-italic. This happened with both Perpetua and Stone Sans.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been using Corel Draw! 8 for years and my favorite tool was the angle of rotation. For example, I would select an object, usually a rectangle that has the point of rotation at end of the narrow rectangle. As I rotated it, I could see how much the angle of rotation in degrees is. Therefore I could type a value in the box and the rectangle would rotate some many degrees. Fast forward to my Corel Draw 12. Now when I click on the same object, the box will display what the angle is in degrees already based on the circular angle startingaat the nine o'clock position. I need it to say ZERO and I can't find the setting to set it at zero
what I am drawing is I rotate a narrow rectange and basically creating a dial face for instruments.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using corel draw X5, I can't move object if I select "Traditional CorelDRAW" option for ctrl/shift keys, under Pick Tool menu in options window.
If I choose "Windows Standard", I'll be able to move the objects. But I don't like this behavior, because the way it draws new objects, anchoring them in center, instead of upper left corner.
This bug started just after I change this option, "just for curiosity". I wish I never discovered it. How can I solve it? I want to set ctrl / shift behavior to "Traditional CorelDraw" AND be able to move objects.
I have a patern, I need to move, I know in advanced I can more it with Origin, but I have to close and open the window.

When I select Export HTML., and click the Browser preview, Corel Draw X6 selects MS Internet Explore which is not my default Browser.
I've checked Tools | Options and Export HTML, and searched the forums, but can't find out how to default to either Firefox or Chrome.
Until recently, CorelDraw X3 was working just fine. Now however, whenever I change an object's line or fill attributes, CorelDraw automatically sets those as the new defaults, overriding the defaults I had previously set. Clicking on a a color in the palette with nothing selected no longer invokes the defaults dialogue box.
I've looked through the various options dialogues in case I had inadvertently checked a box I shouldn't have, but I can't find anything. I've been using Draw since version 2, so I'm pretty familiar with it. I've never encountered this behavior before. I've had X3 installed for about 3 years or so.
I'm running CorelGraphics X3 SP2 in Vista, 2GB RAM, Nvidia graphics.
