I have a patern, I need to move, I know in advanced I can more it with Origin, but I have to close and open the window.

I want to be able to measure objects from their top left position in relation to the x - y position. It appears that I can measure from the centre of objects but that makes the x-y co-ordinates something other than 0.
I can also measure objects from an x-y of 0 but then the object co-ordinates are x0-y0 regardless of where it is on the page.
In Illustrator you can elect to measure from top left to bottom right of an object including the middle nodes in relation to the x-y (wherever you set it), I am sure this must be possible but how.

Since running x6 my system takes an unrealistic time to refresh graphics. I am working with a simple file and it takes 3 to four seconds to refresh after zooming in. My processor on CPU and Video card barely take a 20% hit.
Is Corel not setup to use the resources available? Is there some sort of Mad Hatter trick to fix it?

I've created a simple graph of an area painted with some transparency in Origin Pro 9.1(such as this: URL..... and copied and pasted it on a blank CorelDraw X6 file. The area in the embedded image looks checker board pattern, not transparent as in the original image.
The problem appears to be within CorelDraw, as the embedded link to Origin software works fine, and an embedded image of the same graph in Microsoft PowerPoint looks just fine.I've tired combinations of earlier Origin versions (9.0, 8.5) , CorelDrawX3, XP and Windows7(32bit, 64bit). All failed.
I want to make a chevron pattern so an A4 peice if paper would be covered with symmetrical zig zag lines. How can I do this.

all the fonts are solid black so I need to know how to hollow them out so the background fill will show, then have to cut out all the letters to get the background around them removed so I have only the letters filled with rainbow that can then be moved around and overlaid like with the gray checkerboard squares thing happening.
Like this: imagine a rainbow backing picture with " I heart Mom" text overlaid, fill the " I heart Mom" with rainbow then get rid of the rest of the rainbow backing that is OUTSIDE the letters. The word heart will be replaced with a heart shape.

This would be useful and seems like a bug. Why would I have to apply the fill to each part of the group? Groups are supposed to be useful for manipulating multiple objects in this way.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am going to be printing some raffle tickets. I need them to be numbered sequentially. I have found out how to do the numbering using the printmerge function.
I am going to be doing 8 up. Seems like the easiest way is to design one ticket, then use the print merge feature, and then use the layout imposition tool. However, I would like to have a light colored watermark behind all the tickets.
To make this simple to understand (hopefully) lets just say I want the word "TICKET" repeated over and over again horizontally and vertically untill it covers the whole page.
Of course if I was going to hand number these I would simply design an 8 up print and then put the TICKET watermark behind it no problem.
I could simply crop the watermark and place it in the single 1 up design, and then use print merge and layout imposition, but then the pattern would be exactly the same on all tickets and I would have to cut them in exactly the right place. Whereas if I did 8 up, I wouldn't have this problem.
Time to increase the size of the options box as well as give it a little attention. It hasn't changed much since, ... well, forever.
Monitors are huge, so lets make it happen. I don't like having to scroll sideways with the slider to see full name of macros or tools when customizing.
I have problem with opening the corel draw 12 software. When i opened this, the program hangs all the time and cant access anymore.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a new laptop with Windows 7 64 bit OS, and installed the CorelDraw X5(worked fine on an older XP machine) on it, the application crashes every time when the progress showing "Creating Application Environment". I tried to run it under XP compatible mode, tthe only difference is now the Regstration works, but the app still crashes every time.

The green dots and the dumbell shape are a group and need to follow the contour of the violet colored shape on its edges. So they have to look like they are following the curve. Black legs is object 1, middle 2-color part is object 2 and white top is object 3, I wasn't able to fill the middle part with a black-white pattern unless I made it an object. I surely know there is a way to do it all with only 1 object that is divided into 3 sections but how? Smart fill works when you just draw some lines that form a closed contour but regular fill doesn't. Secondly, how to use a pattern fill that doesn't affect outlines? Third question is how to nudge only part of an object, for example if I want to make sleeves longer? Now I'm able to move the whole object only.
Is there a way to have my custom settings load when exporting a .jpg every time, without having to use the dropdown and select mine every single export?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince older versions of CorelDRAW that I have set the recovery time for Auto-Backup saving time as 3 minutes only, in order to reduce the partial loss of job, when the program crashes.I'm doing a series of small illustrations vectorized (yes, hundreds of them!) and I intend to reduce this time for just 1 (one) minute!This time decreased in 2 minutes (from 3 to 1) can make a difference, because some of these vectors are made fast, and unless those two minutes, I may lose some illustrations if freezing or any other irregular behavior of the software and/or Operating System, though these illustrations are subdivided into several files (simple vectors) and do not consume a lot of RAM.
Reducing the time of Auto-Backup for just 1 min is a risk, or how it can affect the performance of the software or OS? Or one thing does not interfere to another? [URL]
I use CorelDRAW on a daily basis and recently the program takes a lot of time to open/close/save my files, or sometimes it'll simply freeze.
View 6 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is expected behavior but I've found that it's only possible to snap to one type of guide/grid at any given time.
For example if you want to snap to a guideline in the horizontal and the pixel grid in the vertical, you won't be able to. Instead, the snap will work on the guide and completely ignore the pixel grid.
When i start corel it takes really long time to create new document. Or when i save document it also takes a lot of time. I resest workspace, clear temp directory, what else could i do?? This all started without any reason. I shout down pc, and now i turned it on, and since then corel is not working ok...

On the main working screen I type in the specific dimensions of the text that I want to cut ( I have a graphtec cutter). When I pull up "Cut/Plot" in the dialog box under Job Size....the size is NEVER what I have specified. It is normally smaller.I will then type the dimensions into the Job Size field and cut the letter. BUT when I cut the letter......it is not the size I typed into the job size.
