CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Load Custom Settings Every Time With JPG Export?
Apr 20, 2012
Is there a way to have my custom settings load when exporting a .jpg every time, without having to use the dropdown and select mine every single export?
When i start corel it takes really long time to create new document. Or when i save document it also takes a lot of time. I resest workspace, clear temp directory, what else could i do?? This all started without any reason. I shout down pc, and now i turned it on, and since then corel is not working ok...
I just got a new system installed corel draw fresh, loaded all my gms's , imported workspace , great all work as before all my menus are nice and active...,
However my custom gradients have disappeared..., it took me a while to set up certain gradients and I removed lots of the useless default ones that were there preset in the previously installed corel draw.
I accessed my old hard drive and found the gradient preset file however when I copied and replaced with the old gradient file the gradient data is not there....
location C:Program FilesCorelCorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6DrawPresetsStyles - FountainFills.cdss
is there another location where my old gradients would be saved?
What are the folders of my current CorelDRAW installation i can back-up and use them to replace the folders of a new installation so to retain all my settings (workspaces, customizations, shortcuts, settings, plugins, etc)
I need to uninstall and re-install my current installation
I am having trouble with some of the dockers. Some of them when i go to window dockers and click on them come up just fine, but there are a few and don't come up at all. Like Contour or Text Properties.
Will Corel6 (or later) ever be able to export to a web page directly since the HTLM export doesn't work (drops links). The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.
My current work around is to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.
Is there any solution, as powerclip is consuming much time to come out of.... and also note that it is having many objects inside the powerclip. It should not act like a normal object, consumes much memory and time
We have saved a custom Color Management setup and I would like to know if there is a way to export the file so that it can be loaded on different PC's. We also have a custom Publish to PDF setting that we would like to do the same thing with.
Time to increase the size of the options box as well as give it a little attention. It hasn't changed much since, ... well, forever.
Monitors are huge, so lets make it happen. I don't like having to scroll sideways with the slider to see full name of macros or tools when customizing.
I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 7 64 bit OS, and installed the CorelDraw X5(worked fine on an older XP machine) on it, the application crashes every time when the progress showing "Creating Application Environment". I tried to run it under XP compatible mode, tthe only difference is now the Regstration works, but the app still crashes every time.
why (sometimes) when I export text or graphics as .eps files to my cutter it cuts the same outline up to four to five times and ends up cutting right through the backing paper. I have been using postcut with various corel editions since 1997 with no problems until recently. It also cuts random lines through lines of text which is such an expensive pain in the ass.
I started to use the production manager in flexi sign to cut my designs and same thing happens, except for the random lines but it will make up to five cuts on some objects. All text and graphics are exported the same. Has something in corel newer versions changed in relation to this?
i´m using CRD since X3 so I think i´m quite experienced with all the crashes and uncompatibilities but now I have a problem which I can´t solve.
I made a graphic project which is quite large (2,6m x 2,0m @ 300dpi) and including raster grahics. The CDR file itself has about 400MB. When I tried to export this graphic to the png or jpg at the current size Corel X5 always crashes. I tried almost everything on many computers but always the same problem.
It looks like the project is too large for export. At this moment I desperately need to export the file to jpg or png at full resolution. Maybe X6 is more stable when exports or I have to simplify the project somehow but...
FILE IS UPLOADED here and I need to have it 2,6m x 2,0m: [URL]
I managed to get a nice set of different settings to publish a corel file to pdf. Now I would like copy these settings to multiple other pc's in the office. where a can find the file/folder in which these settings are being saved?
Otherwise I would have to set all different pc's individually and I rather spend my time otherwise.
X3 - I use X4 at work with no problems but at home I have X3. I set my workspace the way I want it and all my presets the way I want. I hit tools/save stings as default. I then save my workspace as todays date. Close corel and reopen. It starts with the defaults every time! I have to manually choose my workspace and even after doing so my settings have reverted back to default i.e. text to be point not inches like I chose etc.
So in document color settings in color management, should the primary color mode be RGB or CMYK? I only print inkets and never send stuff out to a regular printer.
should all color settings be at RGB if the option is offered?
I have an existing X6 document which has a rectangle object with a Lens attached.
I did not create the document, so what sort of lens it is and what settings the lens has. I suspect it is a transparency lens.
I cannot find any way to locate the settings for this lens - so that I can reproduce and modify the lens settings. Where i can find the settings for the lens?
When you save a PDF preset it says 'security settings are not saved with PDF preset' is there anyway to change this, i want to save the security setting so i don't have to set a password each time i save it, i make dozens of PDF proofs a day and its a pain having to set it every time i publish to PDF.
I use CorelDRAW X4 exclusively (90%) for Laser work. I have a Page saved as Laser Page. It use to open with a 24 x 12 page area and Horizontal and vertical guidelines in place. It is set to "show guidelines."
However, every time I open a new document, the page layout and guidelines are not there. I always have to rebuild the page and add the guidelines. What has changed so that all I get is a blank page anymore? Or how to reestablish my defaults? I have re-saved it as my new default countless times but nothing sticks. It's a pain to have to always reestablish the layout I want to work with..
I've noticed that DRAW seems to forget whatever settings I choose for duplicate.
So, I found the following in the index:
"Copying objects quickly. You can use other methods to create copies of objects quickly, without using the Clipboard. You can use the plus sign (+) on the numeric keypad to place a copy of an object on top of the original object, or you can create copies instantly by pressing the Space bar or right-clicking while dragging an object."
The + sign thing is cool. Wish I had known. But the Space bar drag either doesn't work at all or puts down one copy at what is apparently a set distance from the original, and then a second copy wherever I release the mouse button. ? Win7, DRAW X6.
I have been drawing the drafting lines and measurements manually and noticed the dimensions tool. Works great but when I shrink the layout for proofing the measurements change. Is there a setting that I can select that will keep the actual measurements of the drawing no matter how I resize it for proofing?
Since older versions of CorelDRAW that I have set the recovery time for Auto-Backup saving time as 3 minutes only, in order to reduce the partial loss of job, when the program crashes.I'm doing a series of small illustrations vectorized (yes, hundreds of them!) and I intend to reduce this time for just 1 (one) minute! This time decreased in 2 minutes (from 3 to 1) can make a difference, because some of these vectors are made fast, and unless those two minutes, I may lose some illustrations if freezing or any other irregular behavior of the software and/or Operating System, though these illustrations are subdivided into several files (simple vectors) and do not consume a lot of RAM.
Reducing the time of Auto-Backup for just 1 min is a risk, or how it can affect the performance of the software or OS? Or one thing does not interfere to another? [URL]
Not sure if this is expected behavior but I've found that it's only possible to snap to one type of guide/grid at any given time.
For example if you want to snap to a guideline in the horizontal and the pixel grid in the vertical, you won't be able to. Instead, the snap will work on the guide and completely ignore the pixel grid.
good procedure to scan pages from a book on a flatbed scanner and edit the resulting file in Corel Photopaint (PP).
My situation is the following: The book contains text as well as images. The final image, after scanning and editing in PP should look good when printed on my simple desktop B&W laser printer but also look well when placed in a document for viewing on the computerscreen. The latter require colors.
My experiences so far: Usually I scan from PP using 600 dpi, to make the text look good on print. Often I get text prints which are not that nice, because in the rasterization which is taking place when my image is printed on my laserprinter in B&W it contains white pixels in the text sections. I can see them when using my 8x Horizon magnifying glass. I guess it is because I need to use pure black in RGB. What are the optimal color settings for my document? (Color Management setting ...). What I usually do when editing the images in PP is that I want to remove the often greyish areas around the corner of the page and make the text stand more black and crisp. To do so, I out-mask the images to not destroy them. Then in the Image Adjustment Lab window I use the "Select White Point" and "Select Black Point" to make the background behind the text white and to make the text more black. Sometimes I also use "Contrast Enhancement". Afterwards I sometimes use the "Invert Mask" tool to improve the images a little.
I am interested in the best settings for my document (Color Management) and a working process which means my scannings and editing can be accomplished in a decent time with a relative high degree of quality.
