We have saved a custom Color Management setup and I would like to know if there is a way to export the file so that it can be loaded on different PC's. We also have a custom Publish to PDF setting that we would like to do the same thing with.
View 1 RepliesI have encountered a problem with the bevel effect of corel draw that I can't seem to resolve. I have a vector image and I convert to curves. Click on effects/bevel/soft edge bevel. I set my distance, I set my shadow colour & light colour and when I apply the bevel it changes the face colour to a murky combination of the original vector colour/shadow colour & light colour. I do not want to change the face colour of the text in any way.

See the red marked area, where it is not accepting to select the rgb or cmyk. Only accepts the Lab only. It is changing the X5 but not in the X6.
Ideal color settings for exporting .jpg and .eps files for CMYK printing? The default X6 settings result in rather washed out looking exports (both on the screen and on the prints). Black looks very dark grey etc.
Never had this issue with X3 but I understand that X6 uses a totally different color engine so I figure I just need to know the correct settings.
In my color separations in print preview the "use advanced settings" is disabled.
I have loaded cdr graphics suite 12 on my new laptop w/windows 7, and also on my old machine that I have loaded windows 7 on. Cannot register the program any more due to outdated version. problem exists on both computers.
There are other minor issues but this one I use regularly.
I have a picture of a bull rider that i would like to use in one of my next poster designs with the bull rider being the focus of the poster. I would like to use the entire picture as the layout for my poster. My question is..is it possible to fade out the background a bit without fading out the bull rider?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm working with a production house to generate transparent PNG files of pieces of content. These output images must meet a fixed height and width (in pixels). We're providing a MS Word file with a template that has both text and a MathType equation. The vendor uses this as a starting point, and will export the same equation as a transparent PNG file.
The vendor is using CorelDraw to: transfer text and MathType equations out of a Microsoft Word document into a template in a CDR file select and export the resulting component(s) as a transparent PNG file
FONT MISMATCH: We have a reference PNG file that we've generated as pixel map directly from an XML version of a piece of sample content. We've found that the vendor's sample PNG file is much larger in filesize than the reference PNG file, though it has the same dimensions.
I'm wondering if it is related to a settings issue in CorelDraw due to a weird font size mismatch. Viewing our reference PNG on-screen on my MacBook Pro (OS X Lion), the font matches 26pt in my text editor at 100% view, which is the same font size we use in our source Word document. The vendor (using a PC overseas) has to shrink the font size after transfer into CorelDraw to 6.2pt font, which visually matches our reference on my screen.
TECHNICAL DETAILS: I've used the "identify -verbose" command in ImageMagick to isolate a few other key differences between our source PNG file and the vendor's sample PNG file. In addition a significantly larger number of rows of Histogram information (source=65 rows; vendor=256 rows), there are a handful of other discrepancies (in bold):

I've attached a text file with the ImageMagick details for each PNG file. changes to the CorelDraw settings or process to better align the output file with the source. I'm also open to exporting the selected component(s) in a different format (e.g., EPS or TIF) and then converting to PNG with another utility.
I am using X5 and print on a Cannon wide format inkjet printer. I use RGB colors, but I'm having a problem printing on adhesive vinyl. I used R255 G0 B0 that I've used on other medias, but it came out a little orange. I really need a good red to use with my settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to export a drawing to PDF *without* any color conversions, i.e. colors should look exactly the same when viewed as PDF on the same screen (the PDF ultimately will be embedded in a presentation).
I have turned color management off, but this did not solve the problem. When viewing the PDF, I still see these pale colors, probably resulting from the wrong PDF profile being applied.
When I export as PNG, then everything is fine colorwise (but I need PDF as vector format).
how on earth I can turn this "feature" completely off?
in the Image Adjustment Lab there is no button to say OK or to CANCEL. How do I save a fixed image or retrieve the missing button?

AND, when PP is trying (unsuccesfully) to load the file, it also convert it into CPT, instead of keeping the EPS format.
(Photoshop can open EPS files without any problem...)

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter finally getting X6 to be stable and usable I have two things I'd like to mention..
First, I've been using a 3rd party file manager called Ztree for years and one of its most wonderful capabilities is to copy paths to the clipboard which alleviates opening/saving frustrations with the typical Windoze Explorer dialogs. Anyway, one of the first problems I noticed with X6 is that Paste no longer works in the Open Drawing dialog, while it worked just fine in X5 and as far as I can remember, all previous versions. I sure would like to get that back.
My second complaint is the File/Export routine and specifically the presets. I do a lot of exporting to PNG and JPG and use multiple presets for fixed size/print resolution image output in both file formats. During the typical export session, I essentially export multiple different drawings all of which are exactly the same size/resolution in CD and in the past (X4 and prior as I recall,) was able to just hit <Enter> when the Export dialog appeared once the preset was set to the one I needed for that session.
In X6 though (and to some degree in X5,) even though the correct preset is listed, CD doesn't appear to recognize it, i.e., the math for the size/dpi conversion doesn't take place which forces me to waste time selecting "Original" or some other preset first, waiting for CD to render the new version, and THEN selecting the conversion preset that was pre-selected when I first opened the export dialog.
i create a spot color (lab color management) when i create the pdf the spot color haven't the name setting in CorelDraw. If i export eps it's works greats! i don't convert spot in cmyk i want spot color in lab! i use onyx production house and it want spot color lab to renoze cutcontour or spot color as white ink.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm very new to corel and i just finished designing a poster but i need to add logos. the problem i'm having is that they're in jpeg and they have a white background. i need to remove the white background. i've tried the magic wand and then going to mask and invert. the problem with this is that i can still see quite a bit of white around the logo. An easier way or do i need to go in and clean up the edges in photo paint's cut out lab? i can do this but it just seems like a lot of work and i have to work with about 15 logos.

When I export a PDF the dialog window no longer opens and offers me the choices for crop marks, bleeds and so on!
This all use to work fine in X5.
How can I get this to start working properly again.
I have upgraded to X5 from X3 , and now when i Export EPS files, they are MASSIVE, I work in a company that does signs, and car vinyls and other graphics /vector related work, and It is important that i use EPS as file format for out " plotter" but a size of 800 mb and 2,2 GB now when it used to be 10 mb is insane.
I also use POSTSCRIPT 2, as 3, makes the file over 2 GBs.
I try to export an illustration to eps with bounding box. When I import this e.g. with ghostscript, I get an error output like this:

The problem seems to be at line "1,00 setflat".
I am using CSG X4 (SP2+hotfix) on a Win7 (32Bit) machine. I tried the following to figure out the problem:- varying export settings- using different programs to import (Ghostscript, Acrobat, CorelDraw)- trying complete re-install of CGS X4- changing the computer using the same version of CGS It seems that the eps export interferes with some system settings or installed printer drivers, but I am not able to isolate the problem. I would expect that the export filter is self-contained.
I tried to reproduce the problem with minimal content. The difference between the produced eps files may isolate the problem. A simple cdr-file, the produced eps-files and a snapshot of the used settings are in the zip-file located at URL....I assume that the eps files are built up from different resources but I cannot locate the involved files.
I prepared my drawing for size A0 (841 mm / 1189 mm) but when exporting it in Jpg or Tiff format for printing, it happens something very strange. In the dialogue window it doesn't allow a bigger size than A1 (594 mm / 841 mm). It shows me 74 % for width and height parameters. I try to change it to 100 % but it turns back to 74. Now I cannot print it because I need the bigger size.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded from corel 12 to X6. I work in SignLab e6 on my production computer. Now since I have upgraded when I export files from x6 and import them into SignLab e6 they will not import unless I change everything to 1 color. If it does export the file as full color, when I import the file it is converted to 1 color. This takes a lot of time to re color everything. I typically have to export files from Corel as .EPS in order for the file to import into Signlab with best quality, but have been using the CMX (legacy) lately with same results. I dont understand why I have to convert them into 1 color nor why they convert from full color to 1 color.
