When trying to open an EPS file in Corel PHOTO-PAINT, an error appears indicating that "The file cannot be opened".
AND, when PP is trying (unsuccesfully) to load the file, it also convert it into CPT, instead of keeping the EPS format.
(Photoshop can open EPS files without any problem...)

Normally CorelDraw x5 will launch Photo Paint when you choose Edit Bitmap from Corel Draw. Then you can edit in photo paint and on save and close you are back in Corel Draw and able to continue there. However this is not the case for me with Parallels 7. It does not launch Photo Paint as expected.
In Corel draw, I click file, open, and the location is not the folder I want. I have created shortcuts. How to change this.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am a long time user of Corel products (well, since Corel 4). I have been running Corel 12 for several years, as financially, as a pensioner it is not viable to keep up grading and 12 has been perfectly adequate. I am on Windows 7 Home premium, and I know that 12 was not designed for that platform, however it has been operation satisfactorily since 7 came out. Today, It has crashed, and I am unable to open photopaint at all either from the shortcut or the program list.
(Corel Draw, which is the only other part of the suite I use) appears to open and be available. I tried to repair with the original disk to no avail, so that having failed I did an uninstall, cleared the caches the temporary files and did a clean install. Corel Draw is still working, but Paint will not open at all. The logo appears then totally disappears after a few seconds leaving the desktop clear. There has been no changes to the computer recently and until last night the program was working fine.
I have one logo designed in Corel draw X5 and sent the file to the printer company ,they have corel draw12 on their PC and they are not able to open the design as it come as a blank page in corel draw12 .. how to open the same in corel draw 12..

I have a picture of a bull rider that i would like to use in one of my next poster designs with the bull rider being the focus of the poster. I noticed that this first happened in projects that had text on them but now I can't open any .cdr file.

this is a problem that arose after repairing the previous issue, downloading the MSXML4 SP3 pack...now I can't use some fonts I purchased, open face fonts. After redownloading from supplier, issue is still not resolved.Also, I am unable to open disc 3 of Corel X3 to add fonts.

I used Apple Mail 5.2 to attach the jpeg file but my problem is the client cannot open the file. It just turns out blank with a little cross. Click on effects/bevel/soft edge bevel. I set my distance, I set my shadow colour & light colour and when I apply the bevel it changes the face colour to a murky combination of the original vector colour/shadow colour & light colour. I do not want to change the face colour of the text in any way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm very new to corel and i just finished designing a poster but i need to add logos. the problem i'm having is that they're in jpeg and they have a white background. i need to remove the white background. i've tried the magic wand and then going to mask and invert. the problem with this is that i can still see quite a bit of white around the logo. An easier way or do i need to go in and clean up the edges in photo paint's cut out lab? i can do this but it just seems like a lot of work and i have to work with about 15 logos.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been working with both Corel Draw 12 and and at some point Photo Paint just froze. Empty main area, just one docker opened. Doesn't matter where I click on the screen, the same metallic clicking response. I uninstalled the whole suite and installed it again.
No difference, the same screen starts and the same freeze. I can only close it using Task Manager. Corel Draw works find and Photo Paint works fine on the other computer on which I installed it at the same time.

I never use it and its a waste of my time because it takes too long to load up!
