Can the items in the Contents Folder (e.g. Frames, pictures, etc.) be opened directly into Photoshop CS6 without first being opened in CorelDRAW X6. I have both programs, and it would be great if I had access to those objects whenever I'm using Photoshop.
View 3 RepliesI just upgraded to X6 (32bit on vista). I use the powerclip feature a lot and have noticed that when I open a graphic I put together in a previous version (usually X5), if I have an object that has a powerclip and I extract the contents and delete them just to leave the original shape (that was the container). That shape that's left has an 'X' across it that I can't get rid of? I can even see it in the wireframe view. I tried the virtual segment delete tool to try to eliminate the lines but it didn't seem to do anything.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I select a PowerClip, I understand that a mini button bar should appear somewhere, which would allow me to do a number of things with the said clip. I don't see any floating 4-button mini bar?
I was able to re-size the content by going to the top menu ... but this mini- 4-button bar that apparently should appear whenever I hover over a PowerClip object is doesn't show up anywhere.
When I try to open about 90% of my files, I can't. I get an error with a yellow caution triangle with an exclamation point. it says "Error Reading C:UsersSignsPlusDesktop.......
So I end up dragging everything to a new page. That works fine but it's a pain ending up with multiples of everything.

Having issues with this file though it is .cdr but still can't be opened.
My corel x4 was coryupt and I had to install my older Corel 12.
Options on this corel are different. So in Corel 12, how do i change the settings so that when I double click on an image, it will open it in Corel photo for editing?
We used to use version 4 at work and loads of images drawn, my boss has converted to version 12 but when we open the drawings now all the text is in the wrong place and too big etc.
I have been given the task of fixing them all and wondered if there was an easy fix rather than clicking on each text box and changing each bit one by one, sitting with my fingers crossed.
I'm running out of time. I ungrouped a set of three images. How do I take only one of the images out? When I try to take one out, all three images come out? I am doing this for a nonprofit organization and it needs to be done today. Did I ungroup them incorrectly or can you not remove only one image?

View 4 Replies View Related I've upgraded to CorelDraw X6 but I need the files I make to be openable in Coreldraw 10. When saving I use the drop down box and choose the option for 10 and if they are opened again in X6 before they are opened in 10 they are fine, but when these files are opened in 10 they crash and the file gets wiped (when opened again it's just a blank page).
A not so obvious box that needs ticking? An option I have missed somewhere?
Is it because the version i have is 64bit? Or is it just not possible to downsave files properly anymore, is 10 just too old now?
I have multiple files open in Corel every day, and then, at the end of the day I have to run to get my lift (never at the same time!) and I would love a way to save all my files with just a click of a button.
I know Dreamweaver had this function - not sure if it still has, but I would love for Corel to have this so I don't have to scroll through all my open files and save them! If the file is not named it can pop up the save as box as usual and leave it open till the next day.
I have to save before I go, as we have very unreliable power and the UPS systems are not reliable either.
What determines the order of items shown in the Macro Manager? Is there anyway to have the modules show up in alphabetical order?

The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.
My current work around is to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.
There is a little annoying folder automatically created by CorelX5 in my document folder, and I don't want it there. It destroys my file arrangement and I hate this.

I just create a few objects in the symbol manager, now I want to send those contents I createt to a friend. But I cannot find my library/symbols folder in the Corel Draw folders.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I want to search in connect, I select the folders I want to include in my search, that is fine.But when I close the progarm and restart it the selection is reset so nothing is selected except the X6 content on disc.
In X5, X6 it would keep the selected folders and they would remain selected and ready to go each time I started connect or CorelDraw.But in X6.1, it seems that each time I close the program it resets everything.
I select the folders I want to use in my search, favorites are locations I want to use in every search.But when I close down for the day and restart CorelDraw the next day and go to connect, this is what I get, all check boxes cleared.
is there a way to get it to keep my selections when I close the program?To me, at least, this is annoying to have to select the folders every time I start the program.

1) You can't import more than one picture at a time, externally connected simultaneously in the document.
2) If you move the picture within it, in a new folder, there is the possibility of assigning the new path to more 'photos at the same time but only one at a time.
So if I have 100 photos to be updated with the new path I have to do with each photo. While it would be much more logical to assign the same path to more 'selected photos.
I don't see thumbnails, only icons of JPG photos.

View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently upgraded from CS2 --> CS5 in windows. This issue started with that upgrade. Been using PS for years.In my large PSD files I use folders to logically-group layers. With CS5, when I put layers into a folder, it automatically groups the layers (not links, groups). When trying to move the contents on ONE LAYER in a folder (using the mouse).... it moves ALL the layers in the folder.
If I use the keyboard ARROW keys, I can move the contents of one layer in a folder independently of the other layers in the folder.I have not explicitly asked PS to group or link ANYTHING in my file. The default seems to be to GROUP layers in a folder. It did not used to be this way.
If I UNGROUP the layers in the folder, it deletes the folder and the layers are now all at the root level. I lose my organization.The only way to get around this is either:
(1) leave the folder grouped and use the keyboard arrow keys to move the contents on one layer (way too cumber some), or
(2) MOVE the layer out of the folder, move the contents of it, then move the layer back into the folder.
I'm trying to create an ilogic rule that will look within the folders of an assembly and take the contents of each of those folders and demote them to separate sub-assemblies.
ie. Assembly1 contains NewFolder 1. NewFolder 1 contains Part1:1 and Part2:1. Upon executing the ilogic rule, I would like Assembly1 to contain NewFolder 1 and within NewFolder 1, Assembly1-01. Assembly1-01 contains Part1:1 and Part2:1. I would like this ilogic rule to look within each successive folder within Assembly1 and demote them according to their position in the browser such that NewFolder 1 - at the top of the browser list - contains Assembly-01, NewFolder 2 contains Assembly-02, etc.
I currently copy a master assembly with browser folders that contain parts and sub-assemblies to a secondary assembly where I manually demote the contents of the folders to sub-assemblies. When I create a drawing for our machine assembly department, the demoted sub-assemblies to isolate only those parts - nuts, bolts and the pieces they fit to - so it is easier for the assembly department when putting a machine together.
Is it possible, using ilogic, to demote folder contents to sub-assemblies with an assembly document?
