When I click File the drop down menue at the bottom has five entries for recent jobs. The most current is a file I worked on three or four days ago. How do you make Corel remember what was the last job opened?
View 1 RepliesExperiencing problems with the dimension tool since upgrading to Corel Draw X6 at this end, which hasn't been resolved with the updates.
I work in mm. The system doesn't remember the default settings if I change my preferences for it to measure in mm via the customisation window or the toolbox as it used to in previous versions. When I open the program again or start a new document, the measurement default keeps changing back to ["] (inches). Sometimes, it will jump back to inches after I change the default to mm when I'm working on the same document.
Same problem seems to be happening with the other units of measure available as well.
Current workaround - the only time it seems to remember my settings is if I change the default to mm and then save a document.
I can fwd a video screen capture which shows the problem if that would work.
Many times the file I would like to open was the sixth or seventh. how to enlarge the Recent Files list to be say 10 in CD X4 and PP X4?
View 6 Replies View RelatedUpon startup of CorelDraw X4, I get an error message and the debugger opens (macro) and highlights a line of code in the Recent Files macro. I suspect it may be a Windows 7 update since about 15 updates were installed today.
P.S. - resetting workspace by pressing F8 at startup is not an option.
Is there a way to clean (or parcial delete) files in "FILE > OPEN RECENT" history?

Having issues with this file though it is .cdr but still can't be opened.
We used to use version 4 at work and loads of images drawn, my boss has converted to version 12 but when we open the drawings now all the text is in the wrong place and too big etc.
I have been given the task of fixing them all and wondered if there was an easy fix rather than clicking on each text box and changing each bit one by one, sitting with my fingers crossed.
Every time when i open a .cdr, coreldraw open the file in same file that i have been open before.
How i can make coreldraw to open files into new files not into opened ones ?
How I get an automatically opened PDF file just after saving it? In the PDF settings in CorelDraw X5 there seems to be no option for this.
View 4 Replies View Related I've upgraded to CorelDraw X6 but I need the files I make to be openable in Coreldraw 10. When saving I use the drop down box and choose the option for 10 and if they are opened again in X6 before they are opened in 10 they are fine, but when these files are opened in 10 they crash and the file gets wiped (when opened again it's just a blank page).
A not so obvious box that needs ticking? An option I have missed somewhere?
Is it because the version i have is 64bit? Or is it just not possible to downsave files properly anymore, is 10 just too old now?
I have multiple files open in Corel every day, and then, at the end of the day I have to run to get my lift (never at the same time!) and I would love a way to save all my files with just a click of a button.
I know Dreamweaver had this function - not sure if it still has, but I would love for Corel to have this so I don't have to scroll through all my open files and save them! If the file is not named it can pop up the save as box as usual and leave it open till the next day.
I have to save before I go, as we have very unreliable power and the UPS systems are not reliable either.
Can the items in the Contents Folder (e.g. Frames, pictures, etc.) be opened directly into Photoshop CS6 without first being opened in CorelDRAW X6. I have both programs, and it would be great if I had access to those objects whenever I'm using Photoshop.

I can go through and reset all the styles, then re-apply them, but it wastes a lot of time.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis just happened, I shut down and rebooted my computer as it has been a while since i turned it off. When I restarted and launched Corel I found that some of my fonts were missing. In particular Arial, which is my default font, was no longer in the list and was replaced by some other random font. I opened Font Navigator and saw that arial was not in the list of installed fonts, so I had to reinstall it. I checked my windows font list and Arial was installed. This has happened before but I didn't too much attention to it. why corel would just randomly drop fonts?

My list of objects in the Object Manager docker have disappeared and I can't see how to get them back. With the layer manager view I can see the layers but no way can I display the objects (which I normally use a lot).

Strokes list inside style pattern is not displayed inthe art of pen tool, but can be used normally.
I just opened up X6 to find my font list is significantly wider than it should be.See image at below.
BTW, I have tried to reset (F8) the workspace.
I'm using v 16.1.0.843.
why all-the-sudden this macro does not show up in the list of macros? I'm not sure if it is conflicting with something else and it's been happening off and on.

I have bought the hard copy version of corel draw Suit X5 and waiting for it. I originally dwn loaded it from the web and so did my son. We are working on a project together. He found TT-Musical Symbols in his dwn loaded version and I do not have it on my dwn load version. Do you have TT-Musical Symbols in your drop down text? and or when you dwn loaded the trail version, have you got it?

The curve is the horseshoe shaped curve shown in the figure below [not the straight lines which are colours boundaries] that contains all the spectrum colours. Seems to me I should be able to import the list somehow and CorelDraw would then produce the line.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been upgrading to X6 from X5. I wanted to install a CorelDRAW macro called "Function Plotter", written by Alex Vakulenko, into X6. When upgrading from X4 to X5 I just manually placed a certain file (Plotter14.gms) into the Draw GMS folder in the program directory. Then back in CorelDRAW X5 I choose Tools > Options > Customization > Commands in order to place an icon in the toolbar, making access to the macro. It worked back then. However when I try the same procedure in X6 it doesn't work. I can see the file under "Commands" and place an icon, but nothing happens when I press the button. Maybe it has something to do with 64 bit, which from what I can see in this Forum causes a lot of trouble (scanner drivers, plugins, etc)?
This macro is extremely important for me. I have tried contacting Alex, but with no success so far. In the meanwhile I need to install X5 again..
