Jan 16, 2012I have X5 and would like to know if there is anyway I can insert an excel name list into a coreldraw file. The file is a layout of badges with a name on 1 line of text, I want to change each line by inserting or dropping the name in with the name list I have in excel. Then there's no worries with spelling corrections on my part.

When I integrate a Microsoft Excel form in CorelDRAW and apply changes to it, the form doesn't retain its size and emplacement. The change VERY slightly, but still ALWAYS change.

Nov 26, 2011I'm having some trouble setting my workflow and I need linking data to corel draw from excel. Basically, what I want to do is to have excel data automatically copy from Excel to Draw and "Paste Special / Paste Link Objects/MS Excel Worksheet is almost what I need.
It would be perfect if only it would copy CONTENT of the Excel file or cells, not their formating (font, size, border etc.) which I want to do in Corel, since separation of the content (excel) and form (draw) would be just natural and functional - don't want my number crunchers to affect design of the Draw document, just as I don't want to have my designer to do the math
So - is there way to link objects (cells from Excel) but to transfer content (text) only or should I revert to VBA?

Aug 10, 2011When I try to enter text and select the drop down menu for font selection, my list of font styles does not show up until you put your cursor over a spefic font. Otherwise the list is blank. I tried to install the repair feature from the disk but that didnt change it.

Jun 21, 2011I am building a big catalog for hundreds of products, and it would be a life savior if i could connect dynamically the (customized) text (fields) in the .cdr file to an external excel file data. For example smth like the text field "Title" to be taking its values from the column "Description" of the excel file, incrementally as each line of the excel file could represent a record. This way also when the excel file changes, (because it will be probably like 10 more versions before it gets final), the content inside the corel draw file will change automatically as well.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Fonts Disappearing In The List?
Jan 23, 2012This just happened, I shut down and rebooted my computer as it has been a while since i turned it off. When I restarted and launched Corel I found that some of my fonts were missing. In particular Arial, which is my default font, was no longer in the list and was replaced by some other random font. I opened Font Navigator and saw that arial was not in the list of installed fonts, so I had to reinstall it. I checked my windows font list and Arial was installed. This has happened before but I didn't too much attention to it. why corel would just randomly drop fonts?

Nov 28, 2011For some time I was using CorelDraw 12 with Windows XP and Excel 2007.I normally make some tables in Excel which I copy and paste into Corel using "Paste special"/Picture/Enhanced Metafile. In Windows XP there was no problem. Since I switched to Windows 7, I have the following problems:
- The font Wingdings 3 comes out as Arial.
- The second problem is a very strange thing: Some characters, such as ,-"; , always at the END of the line, just dissapear. It happens sometimes, not always, and I can't see absolutely no logic in it: I copy the same thing, paste it several times, and sometimes the comma comes out, sometimes not. I remember that this happened to me ONCE, long time ago, when I was still using XP, but then I restarted Corel and it stopped making problems. But now, with Windows 7, it happens almost all the time. I tried it on a few different PCs and I even tried it with Corel X4. Always the same problem.

Jun 1, 2012I am having an issue with X6's print merge not recognizing a properly formatted numeric filed from my Excel spreadsheet. My first issue was that Corel was adding a decimal point after my numbers. This was when they were still formatted as text fields. (which i still don't understand why, since they were just TEXT fileds)
I know that the fields need to be "numeric" fields.
FYI i have ALREADY COMPLETED MY TASK by using an "added" numeric filed that i added IN CorelDraw and then used the "Numeric Field Options" at the bottom of the page to get my number sequence.
However, that is not my question.... my question is: How do i get corel to RECOGNIZE a numeric field AS a numeric field in the first place.

Aug 14, 2013when I select several objects and try to deselect some of them in the object manager the list scrolls down after each click. This happens only in long lists when I deselect objects that are rather in top of the list. It then scrolls until the end of the list and I have to scroll up again for deselecting any further object. Can this be fixed?
Furthermore I would like to know if there is any way to select/deselect by a filter? For example: Deselect all objects that are of the type text or all curves that have a border.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 :: Export Text Or Graphics As EPS Files - Vinyl Cutting?
Mar 18, 2012why (sometimes) when I export text or graphics as .eps files to my cutter it cuts the same outline up to four to five times and ends up cutting right through the backing paper. I have been using postcut with various corel editions since 1997 with no problems until recently. It also cuts random lines through lines of text which is such an expensive pain in the ass.
I started to use the production manager in flexi sign to cut my designs and same thing happens, except for the random lines but it will make up to five cuts on some objects. All text and graphics are exported the same. Has something in corel newer versions changed in relation to this?
