CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 :: Cannot See List Of Fonts
Aug 10, 2011When I try to enter text and select the drop down menu for font selection, my list of font styles does not show up until you put your cursor over a spefic font. Otherwise the list is blank. I tried to install the repair feature from the disk but that didnt change it.

Oct 9, 2009I'm working on coreldraw x3 and when I try and use one of my installed fonts such as LHF Lincoln it's in the drop down menu but once I try and change text to the LHF lincoln font the sample text goes blank. When I find the LHF font in the drop down menu it doesn't show an example of the font style like the rest of the fonts I have installed. I tried to reinstall but no luck. Any font I have installed that doesn't show a preview of the font, I can't use. Most of them are OTF fonts but I have other OTF fonts that work fine. Why a font in my font list shows up but goes blank when I try and apply the font style to some text?

Jan 23, 2012This just happened, I shut down and rebooted my computer as it has been a while since i turned it off. When I restarted and launched Corel I found that some of my fonts were missing. In particular Arial, which is my default font, was no longer in the list and was replaced by some other random font. I opened Font Navigator and saw that arial was not in the list of installed fonts, so I had to reinstall it. I checked my windows font list and Arial was installed. This has happened before but I didn't too much attention to it. why corel would just randomly drop fonts?

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: FontNav Is Not Showing All Fonts Correctly

FontNav is still not showing all fonts correctly. My screen grab shows FN displaying Cambria without regular which as you can see from the CDraw window behind is definitely there on my system. At least now FN isn't preventing the font styles it can't see being used.
I have the latest update 3 of x6 and have deleted and remade FN's font database. The problem appears both on my Win7 64bit desktop and Win7 32bit laptop.

May 19, 2011When trying to open a coreldraw document sent to me containing fonts that I do not have, I cannot seem to open only as curves and it always wants to replace missing fonts. I am sure I could do this with X3, but not X5.
I just want to import as curves and not substitute fonts.

Jan 31, 2013When copying text from web pages to CDX6 it will often crash on paste. A workaround is to copy to Word first but I'd rather CDR worked properly. Is there anything I could look at within CDR to stop this from happening?

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 :: Default Settings For New Documents?
Oct 11, 2013I use CorelDRAW X4 exclusively (90%) for Laser work. I have a Page saved as Laser Page. It use to open with a 24 x 12 page area and Horizontal and vertical guidelines in place. It is set to "show guidelines."
However, every time I open a new document, the page layout and guidelines are not there. I always have to rebuild the page and add the guidelines. What has changed so that all I get is a blank page anymore? Or how to reestablish my defaults? I have re-saved it as my new default countless times but nothing sticks. It's a pain to have to always reestablish the layout I want to work with..

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Documents With Gradients / Transparency
Jan 26, 2012We have an issue happening on many of the documents that we have that include a transparency or gradient. We did not have these issues in Draw12. (but did have printing issues)
1st issue: Opening these gradients will randomly flip them. Like so:
The bottom image is correct. Now when we print them from Corel Draw X5 to either of our printers (Bizhub C250, or Biizhub C360ps) we get the following (this is created from the same master file, same settings):
Notice the lens effect color replacement is gone, and the bottom gradient is barely visible, the top one not working at all.
Same document, saved to 12 and printed the same way:
Both sent with identical printers settings, same print driver, and as close as possible settings in the X5 and Draw 12 dialog print boxes.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: 6.4 Has Stopped Opening Documents?
Sep 16, 2013I noticed over the last few days that Corel was taking a while to open files. Like, if I had one open already it was usually fast enough, but if Corel wasn't open I'd get an error from the file manager I use saying it couldn't execute the program. Every time though, if I closed CorelDraw, and open a new instance of the program I'd be fine again.
Today has been different. Today I've had to restart corel practically every time I've tried to open a document. A few minutes ago I couldn't even get corel to open.
Right now where I'm at: I can open corel, I can change workspaces, but I can't open any file or even a 'new blank document' It freezes/hangs with the processing bar at about 80 %.
I'm going to try a restore point. I brag about how stable my system is, this makes no sense, I don't think it is a corel problem, I've noticed a ton of updates from Windows starting middle of last week. I just figured it would work itself out. I'll post every step I take. Oh, and by the way, I can open PhotoPaint Just fine.
I've removed update KB2853952 - Improvement only in that I can open corel, but can't open a new document or an existing document. I've done an F8 while starting up Corel Draw and reset to factory specs. No change. Deleted all 10,006 items in my temp folder. No change. System restore back to 9/10/2013 worked. Corel functions as expected.
Current System: i3 3.07ghz, 3gb ram, Windows 7 32 bit with all updates and X6

May 30, 2011I"ve just recently upgraded to CDGraphics Suite X5 (from 12), along with Windows 7 and M.Office 2010. When trying to export jpg's I've got 2 problems:
a) Jpg files that I"m now exporting seem to have so many more "options" for exporting and are automatically exporting colours as CMYK. Some of the software programs that I use (for programming digital signage) require jpg files in RGB. Is there a way to set this as a default instead of having to change this everytime I export? (note that I have "checked" the embed colour profile option for my US Web Coated Pantones).
b) The default for exporting is also set at "custom" - should I always be changing this to either medium or large, or can I just leave it at custom. Often I am just emailing jpg's for approval purposes, so I don't always need large file sizes. Does custom set it to the largest possible file size?
I found a tab at the top of the export window that says "Load Presets" and lists for example "low quality jpg.xml" what is this for?
c) when I look at my jpg files in my documents folders they appear "locked" with a little lock on them. Old jpg files created in CD12 don't have this little "lock" icon on them. I have checked the properties and see that these files give full access for modification etc, so I can't figure out why they may be locked.

May 22, 2011When I installed X5 on my XP Pro computer, I up graded from Windows SP2 to SP3. Than I installed Corel Draw X5. Ever since I did that I can't see my text on the screen unless I use the pointer. Also, I can't see the fonts in the font list. Add to that, it even made my X4 do the same thing. However, I can use X3 with no problems with the fonts. I have un-installed and re-installed it more then once.

Dec 17, 2012font issues with X6.2, ever since the last update certain fonts basically don't appear on the documents once they are open, even although they are there in the preview. I've reinstalled the fonts in question, but still nothing. They work in other applications.
On the image below you will see the small squares, this is the size f the object, the dots in a line are the. actual words of text. The font(s) in this job is Omnes regular and medium, which are Open Type fonts.

Mar 5, 2013I am currently working with gnuplot and some graphical output I want to postprocess in corel. I get a correct .eps file however when I want to import those files I get some font problem. For example: my degree symbol ° gets somewhat confused with another letter é. Same goes for some symbols like the greek theta. In gnuplot I use that /Symbol t for theta and its also correct in the output. However if it goes to corel it gets confused with these symbols and imports the curves wrong.

After writing few sentence when I wan to change the font style... and click on the font then the system hangs for a minute or responding very slowly. Sometimes though fonts are existed , when i open files in coreldraw font matching systems dialog comes in and says that font is not installed choose the appropriate one .

Jun 1, 2011With X4 I can right click a piece of text - with pick tool - and drag the selected text to an open area and the text is duplicated. With X5 this does not work - text is locked. The only way to duplicate is to copy / paste. Is there a setting that needs to be reset.

Dec 22, 2012I need to use CorelDraw X5 the bigger the pain in the neck the issue becomes.
The tabket is a Wacom Intuos 3 an my pen is set up to have a right click for the lower side button, double click for the upper side button and single click for the nib. In all applications and Windows this works as expected but as soon as I run X5 I lose the right click and it takes several minutes to return after I have quit X5.
While using CorelDraw the only way to get a right click is to hold down the nib to bring up a pop up menu.
Is there a setting in the tablet driver (or CorelDraw?) that will stop this happening?
