CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Open Face Font - Condensed Fonts Not Working
Jan 8, 2013Graphics department is having a problem with Franklin Gothic Medium Condensed Font.
Font has extra space trackings in Corel x6. Is there a specific menu setting i should have to fix this?
Is it because it is an open face font?

Oct 17, 2012My font navigator used to install the font automatically if I have it on the system but it wasn't installed. It has quit doing that. It tells me I'm missing the font then I have to manually go to the navigator and install it then open the file again. I've had this happen on multiple systems and versions of corel. I'm currently running X5 on Vista-64.
Just to clarify. When I open a file that I don't have the font installed for it will bring up a dialog box that says missing fonts. See screen shot below. The part that says install from Font Navigator is Grey and I can't select it no matter what. I have to take note of what fonts are missing then open font navigator, load them in and then re open the file. It worked fine a couple of weeks ago and then just quit.

Oct 1, 2013I removed Font Navigator before updating to version 16.4 because it didn't work well you know. But now I want to install it again.My system is 64 bit.
What if I install it from CD, because on CD there is the older not fixed version of FontNav and I don't know what to do next.How can I update it after installing it or I have to remove all Corel programs, reinstall them and update to 16.4?

May 10, 2012I have a problem opening Font Navigator in Windows 7.
When I click the exe startup for Font Navigator Windows 7 asks if it's OK for this program to make changes to my computer. I answer yes, the screen flickers and Font Navigator fails to open.
This is a recent problem and I can't trace it to any changes on my PC. I have completely cleared Corel Suite from the computer and reloaded the applications.

Feb 19, 2013What the little sun icon indicates on some of the installed fonts on Bitstream Font Navigator? I think they might be system fonts but I'm not sure.
I have too many fonts installed right now so I want to reduce that number but I don't want to cause a problem if those are required to stay in place.

Oct 9, 2009I'm working on coreldraw x3 and when I try and use one of my installed fonts such as LHF Lincoln it's in the drop down menu but once I try and change text to the LHF lincoln font the sample text goes blank. When I find the LHF font in the drop down menu it doesn't show an example of the font style like the rest of the fonts I have installed. I tried to reinstall but no luck. Any font I have installed that doesn't show a preview of the font, I can't use. Most of them are OTF fonts but I have other OTF fonts that work fine. Why a font in my font list shows up but goes blank when I try and apply the font style to some text?

CorelDRAW X5 :: Font Navigator - Installing Missing Fonts When File Loaded?
Jul 31, 2011It seems to work. How un-Corel-like.
CGSX5 on i3 PC, Win 7, 6G RAM.
The version that came with X4 worked in XP, but when I upgraded to Windows 7 it wouldn't install Type 1 fonts, and it wouldn't install any missing fonts when a file loaded. I buy Font Expert, though I never got it to work as well as the old FN.
But my new (trial) version of X5 has a version of the utility (v. 6.0.0, build 108) that seems to work just fine both ways. Thats a wonderful. When did this happen? There's a noticeable difference in the versions, according to xplorer2. X4's version:

I can no longer load X4's version; only v. 6.0.0 comes up, so I can't compare. But FN now works properly in X4, too, so Corel must have done something to address this. Cool.

FontNav is still not showing all fonts correctly. My screen grab shows FN displaying Cambria without regular which as you can see from the CDraw window behind is definitely there on my system. At least now FN isn't preventing the font styles it can't see being used.
I have the latest update 3 of x6 and have deleted and remade FN's font database. The problem appears both on my Win7 64bit desktop and Win7 32bit laptop.

Corel doesn't replace the missing font with an other font text it just shows up on my screen as a blank page. Dec 12, 2011There were some patches available at one time but I'm not able to find them anymore. I have recently installed X3 on a W7 machine and have so far found everything to work fine except for an issue of half of my fonts being blank when trying to choose one from the drop down menu. Existing files with these blank fonts also come up with the fonts completely missing as if the entire set of words was deleted. Here is the list of patches that I've heard is necessary for X3 to be compatible with W7...

Sep 16, 2013I noticed over the last few days that Corel was taking a while to open files. Like, if I had one open already it was usually fast enough, but if Corel wasn't open I'd get an error from the file manager I use saying it couldn't execute the program. Every time though, if I closed CorelDraw, and open a new instance of the program I'd be fine again.
Today has been different. Today I've had to restart corel practically every time I've tried to open a document. A few minutes ago I couldn't even get corel to open.
Right now where I'm at: I can open corel, I can change workspaces, but I can't open any file or even a 'new blank document' It freezes/hangs with the processing bar at about 80 %.
I'm going to try a restore point. I brag about how stable my system is, this makes no sense, I don't think it is a corel problem, I've noticed a ton of updates from Windows starting middle of last week. I just figured it would work itself out. I'll post every step I take. Oh, and by the way, I can open PhotoPaint Just fine.
I've removed update KB2853952 - Improvement only in that I can open corel, but can't open a new document or an existing document. I've done an F8 while starting up Corel Draw and reset to factory specs. No change. Deleted all 10,006 items in my temp folder. No change. System restore back to 9/10/2013 worked. Corel functions as expected.
Current System: i3 3.07ghz, 3gb ram, Windows 7 32 bit with all updates and X6

Jan 21, 2012Using Graphics Suite X5. Windows 7 Spraying images was no problem until I attempted to add my own images. Now when I click on sprayer, the program stops. I get an error message saying some other program is shutting it down.

May 22, 2011When I installed X5 on my XP Pro computer, I up graded from Windows SP2 to SP3. Than I installed Corel Draw X5. Ever since I did that I can't see my text on the screen unless I use the pointer. Also, I can't see the fonts in the font list. Add to that, it even made my X4 do the same thing. However, I can use X3 with no problems with the fonts. I have un-installed and re-installed it more then once.

Dec 14, 2012I work with Corel X6 and Beatstream Navigator on regular basis. During start and save Corel & Beatstream make changes inside Windows system font (In my case Sagoe UI) and compromise it's usage for Adobe Photoshop CS6.
It's crash core menus and banners inside PS6.
Problem go away if you uninstall Bitstream Font Navigator.
Is there any other newer type manager or any other solution to solve this problem?

Oct 3, 2012I put corel draw x3 on a new laptop with window 7 and the bitsteam font navigator will not work. Well actually it worked once, then when I went to add more fonts (find fonts) it just freezes up. I have uninstalled and re installed it and still have same problem. Never had this problem on windows xp.

Dec 17, 2012font issues with X6.2, ever since the last update certain fonts basically don't appear on the documents once they are open, even although they are there in the preview. I've reinstalled the fonts in question, but still nothing. They work in other applications.
On the image below you will see the small squares, this is the size f the object, the dots in a line are the. actual words of text. The font(s) in this job is Omnes regular and medium, which are Open Type fonts.
