AutoCad :: Mount Double Flood Lights With Motion Sensor At Each Corner Of House?
Aug 21, 2011
I'm going to mount double flood lights with a motion sensor at each corner of the house, it will mount on a junction box in the soffit. This would sure save me some time, I searched the web but so far I'm not finding any blocks at all to do this.

I'm using Lr 4.1. I'm processing raw from a NEX 5 and a NEX 7. Under Lens Correction - Lens Profile - e50/1.8, e24/1.8z, and e18-200f/3.5-6.3 are not listed. I assume profiles for these lenses exist somewhere. Where I can download profiles for these lenses and tell me how to get them into Lr?

I've been a long term Photoshop (elements) user, but rarely use it. I primarily use Aperture. I have a shot that I've printed successfully in 20 X 20 on aluminum and would like my next print to be bigger, 30 X 30 would be ideal.
I have a JPG Aperture export that measures 2318 X 2318 pixels. I was talking to a person at an art show this weekend, discussing my goal for this photo and he mentioned a feature of Photoshop that can take this image and basically adds more pixels. It's a 3 second motion shot in low light, so I'm not too worried about losing sharpness.
Here is a 1024 X 1024 export of the photo.

I downloaded LR 4.1 RC today. Some of my lenses are not profiled in LR so I then downloaded Lens Profile Downloader Preview 3 to see if there are any profiles available for download. For some lenses I found profiles, but they were not done on the same body that I have (same sensor size though). Can I use profiles for lenses if they are for a camera body that is different than mine, but still the same sensor size? My understanding is that wiht a lens profile LR will automatically correct distortion, vignetting, and CA. Will that work if my body is different than the body used to profile the lens?

I have a banner heading that is more or less outlined text. I want to give all the corners a rounded corner and at the moment would just do it all by hand, one at a time. So I want to go from a to b:
But I would like to find an easy way to make all corners the same diameter regardless of the angle too.

I draw square. The 1st point and last points are left-top and finally set 5 points. The direction is clock-wise and made closed path.To get smooth-curved polygon shape, I used API 'PointsToCurves'.But, the first and last points are connected by cornered (not smooth) point. Here's result.
Maybe, I must set that square is closed path, to API, but it seems to be no parameter to set.So, I want to know how to get smooth corner shape every corner.I use SDK CS5.

I can do a square site plan fine but now I have to put a house on a lot with a arc front. The coordinates are S4d54'02E on the west side with a length of 108.54'. The back is n87d58'41"E with a length of 113.21. The east side is N25d53'25"E with a length of 118.29'. The front of the house has the arc and all it says is curve 18. I have the three sides but don't know how to get the front. The information on the curve is:
Length-55.31'
Radius-50.00'
Delta - 54.09'
Chord direction - s83d44'48"W
chord length - 52.53'

I need to update many files using a flood fill with the following settings:
Flood color = white
Flood mode = global
Fill = solid color
Tolerance = 50%
Is it possible to create a macro or otherwise process these files in a batch, rather than editing them one-by-one?

I am trying to recreate the remains of a viking house that was discovered during excavations in the center of Dublin. I want to recreate the conditions of the house from when it was found. A part of this would be to create the 'wattled walls.
How to create this wattling - should I be using the pipe or tube method? If so, is there a quick command for tubes/pipes that weave around each other? I have attached a pdf of the plan of one of these houses.

What type of line are you using to show electrical wiring in a house, I've used the arc line and I really don't like the flexibility of that, it want bend like I want it to. The next thing I'm trying now is to use a leader line without arrows, that works better, you can bend that little rascal all over the place.

I have plan and elevation views in autocad 2012. I am adding a new entry to my house and I just want to see what it will look like in a perspective view or something.
I went to the library and took out a tutorial on autocad 3D drawing. After 8 hours all I can draw is a stupid birdhouse with no hole for the bird to go in. I am not stupid and I am good with computers, so I figure that I am completely missing something here.
Is there not some way for me to take my plan and elevations and just put them together like one would a paper model?
Is there not some quick and easy way to mock up parts of houses?
I am just a homeowner, and I don't want to pay an architect to do this for me. Maybe I am using the wrong tool? Maybe I need Autocad Architecture? Maybe some other product? I am very frustrated.
So here is my challenge to all of you: assume that your dad or your friend wants to build a deck for his house, and he wants to model it in 3D to see what it will look like. He has never done anything in 3D in AutoCAD, but he can draw 2D drawings. He has exactly 8 hours to learn whatever tool he needs, AND, to produce the 3D drawing.
Note: a simple wireframe drawing is fine, I can color the thing with pencil crayons or whatever after if I need to.

I have a 2d drawing of the front view of a house. I would like to make it into a watercolor presentation using autocad. I have tried making polyline boundries and filling in different colors with solid hatch, but it is to opaque and covers up all the architectural details. Is there a way to change the color to transparent? Is there a "watercolor" hatch available. I have tried using a dot hatch pattern, but not quote what I'm looking for.

With the flood fill tool selected I click on the foreground colour box in the materials palette.I click on the colour frame, the colour momentarily shows but does not alter the colour box.Clicking on the rainbow tab displays a box with black to white gradient in it.This will change the colour box to any shade clicked on.Clicking on the swatches colour tab gives varying shades in the colour box or does not change the colour box. What is going on here and how do I get back to normal so that I can change the foreground colour as before? In PSPx2 I used to select an area in an adjustment layer and then use the Flood Fill tool to create a mask. Did it quite often.
In PSPx4 the Flood Fill tool doesn't seem to work on adjustment layers. I can get the desired effect using the Airbrush, but it's a tedious and imprecise technique. Is this a known bug (I searched the forum but couldn't find it) or an intentional change?

I have a scan of a pencil sketch as my background image. What I want to do is convert to colour image then, eventually, lose the pencil lines. For starters I would like to know how to flood fill an area with colour then get rid of the area's boundary line. I guess a valid solution might be along one of the following lines:
1. Flood fill, depositing the colour in one layer but using a boundary line in a different one.
2. Copy the sketch to another layer, fill the areas then somehow delete the lines.
3. Flood fill in one layer then copy the block of colour only, not the surrounding line, and paste into another layer. Any suggestions? As of a week ago I'd never used Photoshop so don't assume I know anything.

I started with a tif image that's a black & white drawing and used the fill tool to fill in some black areas that were supposed to be solid, but weren't. I also did a lot of cutting to get rid of specks on the image. It looked fine when I closed and saved it, but when I went to convert it to a PDF, all my tif's have a black background and white lettering--should be just the opposite. I have gone into the images and they all look that way (apart from the PDF). I'm guessing this is a layer issue, but I'm new to this program and can't figure out what I did wrong and how to fix it. I really don't want to start over. So, to restate, everything that should be black is white and all that should be white is black.

I'm a bit of a Photoshop noob. My parents took a photo of their house from the front, and wanted to see what it would look like if it was painted a different color. I installed Photoshop 7 on their PC and opened the photo with the program.
I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to adjust the colors on the house. In the original photograph, the house is painted white, so messing with the hue/saturation settings don't really do much. They would like to try a few different colors on the house such as shades of light blue and greenish shades.
Just wondering if someone could walk me through the steps necessary to do what I am trying to. All I've tried so far is selecting the painted areas of the house with the selection tools (magnetic lasso mostly) and adjusting color settings,

My neighbor removed the siding from his house. We wanted to try out different paint colors to see what would look nice when he re-finishes the clapboard.
What I'd like to do is virtually paint his house (but have it look realistic). Because his house is stripped down to raw wood in spots, simply changing the Hue/Saturation doesn't give a very realistic effect.
