Photoshop :: Mac Filters (Flaming Pear - Eye Candy)?
Jul 8, 2013Have CS5.5 and CS6 on my new MacMini (2.5gHz Core i5 - 8Gb RAM). I've tried repeatedly to install Flaming pear filters, but they don't show in the filters list in either build. The plugin files appear to be correct, and I'm placing them in proper directory. (Applications/Adobe Phtotshop/Plugins/Filters).
Eye Candy installs fine and works once but then is fails saying my license is not valid.

I heard that "GENUINE FRACTALS'" photoshop plugin is very good program, and I start download that free trial but when installation start , it said this:
" Unable to locate a supported version of Photoshop or Elements.
Genuine Fractals needs Photoshop CS or Elements 3.0 or greater to run. The plug-in will be installed to a default location and you can manually install it where you wish, or you can browse to a new install location. Please contact onOne Software for more information."

Apr 25, 2012I am trying to install a plug-in from PSKiss to Photoshop CS5 (version 12.0.4). I'm using Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5, and I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop.
Although I'm following up with PSKiss to see if there's a problem at this end, I also see an issue with Adobe Extension Manager. When I open it, the Install button is grayed-out. I can see neither of the plug-ins I've already installed in Photoshop, nor can I install anything new. I am running Adobe Extension Manager as Administrator.
Also, yes, I'm using my laptop with an Administrator account.

Jun 11, 2012How to install pixel bender plug in into windows 7 cs5. Sequentially....how to install the as an administrator....as I am the only account on a laptop..no net group, home group, etc. I have spent hours trying in vain to get on my Windows 7 64 bit Professional version.
I keep getting a message " you must have administrator/be an administrator "....when I check my log in It says I am an administrator...Obviously my problem is the OPERATOR. I have checked / Googled & lots of other folks have the same problem but the solution is always stated do it as an administrator ? I have the 64 bit file in my DOWNLOADS but can not get it into PS CS5 filters.

Oct 15, 2012How to use any photo editing software so my knowledge and skillset are limited. that being said, i'm slowly starting to get the hang of a few effects, and am working on making my own desk top. i blended the images that i wanted together, so the only thing left to do is to add flaming text to it.
I know how to make flaming text on a black background, unfortunately i don't know how to add said text to my image (if it is at all possible). i tried adding a seperate layer with a black background, then i figured i would delete that layer, but you have to merge the text down to the black background in order to be able to use the smudge effect, so that idea was a bust. i can't really think of anything else.
Photoshop :: Flood Fill Then Lose Boundary Line
May 12, 2009I have a scan of a pencil sketch as my background image. What I want to do is convert to colour image then, eventually, lose the pencil lines. For starters I would like to know how to flood fill an area with colour then get rid of the area's boundary line. I guess a valid solution might be along one of the following lines:
1. Flood fill, depositing the colour in one layer but using a boundary line in a different one.
2. Copy the sketch to another layer, fill the areas then somehow delete the lines.
3. Flood fill in one layer then copy the block of colour only, not the surrounding line, and paste into another layer. Any suggestions? As of a week ago I'd never used Photoshop so don't assume I know anything.

With the flood fill tool selected I click on the foreground colour box in the materials palette.I click on the colour frame, the colour momentarily shows but does not alter the colour box.Clicking on the rainbow tab displays a box with black to white gradient in it.This will change the colour box to any shade clicked on.Clicking on the swatches colour tab gives varying shades in the colour box or does not change the colour box.What is going on here and how do I get back to normal so that I can change the foreground colour as before? Feb 21, 2012In PSPx2 I used to select an area in an adjustment layer and then use the Flood Fill tool to create a mask. Did it quite often.
In PSPx4 the Flood Fill tool doesn't seem to work on adjustment layers. I can get the desired effect using the Airbrush, but it's a tedious and imprecise technique. Is this a known bug (I searched the forum but couldn't find it) or an intentional change?

Jun 18, 2013I started with a tif image that's a black & white drawing and used the fill tool to fill in some black areas that were supposed to be solid, but weren't. I also did a lot of cutting to get rid of specks on the image. It looked fine when I closed and saved it, but when I went to convert it to a PDF, all my tif's have a black background and white lettering--should be just the opposite. I have gone into the images and they all look that way (apart from the PDF). I'm guessing this is a layer issue, but I'm new to this program and can't figure out what I did wrong and how to fix it. I really don't want to start over. So, to restate, everything that should be black is white and all that should be white is black.

Mar 14, 2013I have CS2 Premium which I'm running on an older PowerPC Mac (G5 - Dual 2.3 GHz ) running OS 10.4.11. I've had this setup for many many years (registered/activated with Adobe) but suddenly one day I could no longer launch my Photoshop app: when I clicked on the Pshop icon it would start the launch (open) procedure ... and then almost instantly it would quit (in just a few seconds ... before the application even got to the 'title/credit' screen).
I've recently tried uninstalling CS2 (everything except Acrobat) and I ended up doing a manual uninstall of Version Cue. I've been on Macs for 20+ years so figured this would be a pretty straightforward procedure - uninstall -> reinstall and then back to work. Nope.
I'm attempting a fresh installation direct from the original CS2 CDs. In any event, when I try to (re)install CS2 - and after going through the standard screens with Adobe's usage terms agreement and installation hard disk selection - I arrive at the screen where one selects which application(s) to install by checking the various boxes (or alternately, to install the entire suite) but the 'Adobe Photoshop CS2/Adobe ImageReady CS2' line and checkbox are grayed out, so it will not allow me to check them and continue with the Photoshop installation process.
