Sep 17, 2006
how to use filter flaming pear "flood" more creative? i was using this filter for a months, but i only get effect straight edge on the top. i want to make a shadow of an object at the center of page. how to make it? in photoshop we use masking, but can we use masking on flood?
Is there a way of mapping textures more creatively in Revit ?
I'm modelling some Glulam beams, some of which are curved. Is there a way of getting the glulam texture (with the laminated layers shown) to curve along the length of the curve beam ?
I have a scan of a pencil sketch as my background image. What I want to do is convert to colour image then, eventually, lose the pencil lines. For starters I would like to know how to flood fill an area with colour then get rid of the area's boundary line. I guess a valid solution might be along one of the following lines:
1. Flood fill, depositing the colour in one layer but using a boundary line in a different one.
2. Copy the sketch to another layer, fill the areas then somehow delete the lines.
3. Flood fill in one layer then copy the block of colour only, not the surrounding line, and paste into another layer. Any suggestions? As of a week ago I'd never used Photoshop so don't assume I know anything.
When I want to flood fill -say a cloudy sky with blue, is it possible to use my own colour-that is an image taken of a blue sky instead of using one of the options shown after clicking to get the default colour choices in PSPro X
I am new to the site so not sure if this has been asked yet.
How do you do a flood fill with a transparent background, I can see how i can flood fill with colors and all that fun stuff, but for the life of me i cant find a selection for transparent.
I have an image with a gray foreground and want to change the colour. With the flood fill tool selected I click on the foreground colour box in the materials palette.I click on the colour frame, the colour momentarily shows but does not alter the colour box.Clicking on the rainbow tab displays a box with black to white gradient in it.This will change the colour box to any shade clicked on.Clicking on the swatches colour tab gives varying shades in the colour box or does not change the colour box. What is going on here and how do I get back to normal so that I can change the foreground colour as before? PSPro X
In PSPx2 I used to select an area in an adjustment layer and then use the Flood Fill tool to create a mask. Did it quite often.
In PSPx4 the Flood Fill tool doesn't seem to work on adjustment layers. I can get the desired effect using the Airbrush, but it's a tedious and imprecise technique. Is this a known bug (I searched the forum but couldn't find it) or an intentional change?
I started with a tif image that's a black & white drawing and used the fill tool to fill in some black areas that were supposed to be solid, but weren't. I also did a lot of cutting to get rid of specks on the image. It looked fine when I closed and saved it, but when I went to convert it to a PDF, all my tif's have a black background and white lettering--should be just the opposite. I have gone into the images and they all look that way (apart from the PDF). I'm guessing this is a layer issue, but I'm new to this program and can't figure out what I did wrong and how to fix it. I really don't want to start over. So, to restate, everything that should be black is white and all that should be white is black.
I am working on a flood inundation, I would like to find a lisp or command(i'm not finding) to connect two points with a given elevation following the surface file or surface entities.
here is a small section as example right now it's just guesswork, some of these have taken a week to connect all the sections.
I'm going to mount double flood lights with a motion sensor at each corner of the house, it will mount on a junction box in the soffit. This would sure save me some time, I searched the web but so far I'm not finding any blocks at all to do this.
I tried to use the lens flare filter in Photoshop CS6.While the lighting effect is interesting, it introduces ugly artifacts like blue or orange blobs (which are supposed to be the reflection of the diaphragm, but do not look anywhere close to that, but instead are just cheesy looking blobs of color).
In the "movie prime" setting blue lines are added which have nothing to do with lens flar.On top of it, the preview is about the size of a stamp. Any way to use the filter without getting these artifacts, or is it - what I assume - just a useless toy filter, that has probably been dragged on for years and years because it's always been there? What do you use to create a lens flare effect? Are you just building it from scratch with brush work?
I've deleted my PS preferences and restarted, and I cannot get this filter to do what is was just doing a day earlier. It doesn't matter what the foreground/background colors are, nor does it matter what the resolution of the file is. I've experimented with every variable. The filter effect changes the filled layer to a solid color of the current foreground color. No lines, dots or circles at all.
I'm trying to make lines in a filled layer, or a rasterized text layer.Adjusting the sliders has no effect at this point, but the other Gallery filters DO work, oddly enough.
I've used this filter effect many times over the years, and it just started acting wonky. This is PS CS6, on Mac OSX 10.8.5.It seems to be unpredictable or temperamental. Is there a reasonably-priced plugin that will create lines that are completely adjustable?
I have Photoshop CS4 running on a 8 gig Vista 64 bit system. When I click on Filters, there is no Extract Filter. I did a search prior to posting and saw some threads talking about not moving files, icons etc from their original folder. I am un sure if anything has been moved. However, when I click on Filters, they all seem to be there (at least not greyed out), EXCEPT for the Extract filter. Any help would be apprecited and if you let me know where the filters should reside I can make sure they are in the correct location.
once i had a filter which was like a light coming out of an image look at the effect on the explosion on this image http://art.counter-strike.net/art/week21/cs2.jpg
do you know the name of this filter or another one who could do the same!?
I think I'd have to say Smart Sharpen for sharpening up digital photographs and making them look as crisp as possible (before they look too crisp of course).
how to make my images turn into a cartoon. During the video they tell me to go to filter/noise/reduce noise.....Well i went to use it, and its not there, I have gone to a billion webistes searching to download a free reduce noise plug in filter, But i need the exact plug in that will go into the noise filter section....
I am trying to apply a brush strokes filter to an image I created in CS3. My problem is that option is unavailable. It is grayed out, along with artistic, pixilate, sketch and texture.
2 files, they're the same seal, but one has had a filter and fade applied to it. I'm interested in what filter/settings were used to change the colors as they are. I've seen similiar but not sure what was used
I am trying to find a filter using CS4 that enables me to produce the exaggerated line "scratchy" effect. The photo below is an example of the effect. It would be used on parallel lines criss-crossing each other. I haven't been able to find anything similar. I've already tried the smudge tool, rough pastels, and wind. But, the effect isn't strong enough. Is there another filter out there? I've also already looked at the filters on Adobe Community page.
I am trying to despeckle an old photogrpahy and when I click to apply the desired settings, it reverts back to the original and no effect is applied? Why????
I am learning to make some texture, then found that there isn't sketch filter in Photoshop CC, which is available in many previous versions. how to get this sketch filter?
1.) In CS6, the Filter Gallery seems like a great way to quickly preview lots of different effects. However, it does not seem to be working with all of my installed filters. Is there a reason why it only works with some filters OR is there some option or way to get other filters into the Filter Gallery?
2.) After applying a filter, and using Command + Shift + F on a Mac to reduce the effect of the filter, it comes up with a slider set at 100% is 100% showing the percentage of the filter that was applied previously, so if I drop it to 90% it is simply reducing the filter to 90% of its previous amount?
