View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop CS4 running on a 8 gig Vista 64 bit system. When I click on Filters, there is no Extract Filter. I did a search prior to posting and saw some threads talking about not moving files, icons etc from their original folder. I am un sure if anything has been moved. However, when I click on Filters, they all seem to be there (at least not greyed out), EXCEPT for the Extract filter. Any help would be apprecited and if you let me know where the filters should reside I can make sure they are in the correct location.

It's CMYK, 300 dpi, and 8 bit.
I'd like to sharpen it and adjust the hue/saturation, but they're grayed out.
why this is happening and how I can work around this so I can make the changes I need to make?
I was doing a project at school on a PC and I came home and went to continue on my Mac and most of the options on the filter menu aren't there, specifically the artistic submenu, I searched through all the other menus and can't find it anywhere, am I just blind or is there something wrong with my copy of PS?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried to use the lens flare filter in Photoshop CS6.While the lighting effect is interesting, it introduces ugly artifacts like blue or orange blobs (which are supposed to be the reflection of the diaphragm, but do not look anywhere close to that, but instead are just cheesy looking blobs of color).
In the "movie prime" setting blue lines are added which have nothing to do with lens flar.On top of it, the preview is about the size of a stamp. Any way to use the filter without getting these artifacts, or is it - what I assume - just a useless toy filter, that has probably been dragged on for years and years because it's always been there? What do you use to create a lens flare effect? Are you just building it from scratch with brush work?
In windows I always use ALT+T shortcut to open Filter menu in Photoshop. That make my work faster.
How can I do the same thing on MAC? I can not understand.
I'm testing a Photoshop plugin that's been dead since 2002, and runs in Mac OS 8.1 or higher, as well as Mac OS X up to Adobe Photoshop CS2. It's installed correctly in Photoshop 5.0.2 on Mac OS 9, but it only appears in the Filter menu on Photoshop CS2 in OS X.
View 23 Replies View RelatedI was looking at the Video Tutorials on Creative Cloud, and In The Tutorial shows a camera raw filter inside Filter Tab. I have purchased the CC version, But at this point it is still CS6.Do I have to wait until June 14th so my Photoshop gets upgrade to CC ?Is that the reason I don't see the Camera Raw Filter inside the Filter Tab ?I did go to the CS6 Bridge and I opened a picture with the camera raw, and it shows Camera Raw 8.1

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am a 3d visualiser, who specialises in Architectural Visluals.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a plugin, or a way of realistically creating, the technique of a standard SLR filter, to a CGI image.
I have seen a couple of big companies who produce images that seem to have a distinct style, and it seems to be the colour levels either are too saturated or over colourfull, yet they are very good and a have a nice feel to the images.
I think they must use a lens filter type plugin, but i cant seem to find one on the net..
I would like to Smart Sharpen the white type in a green 8-bit .GIF image.
I have Saved it AS a .PSD file but all the Filter menu options stay grayed out.
Photoshop CS2. Windows XP Pro SP2
I've deleted my PS preferences and restarted, and I cannot get this filter to do what is was just doing a day earlier. It doesn't matter what the foreground/background colors are, nor does it matter what the resolution of the file is. I've experimented with every variable. The filter effect changes the filled layer to a solid color of the current foreground color. No lines, dots or circles at all.
I'm trying to make lines in a filled layer, or a rasterized text layer.Adjusting the sliders has no effect at this point, but the other Gallery filters DO work, oddly enough.
I've used this filter effect many times over the years, and it just started acting wonky. This is PS CS6, on Mac OSX 10.8.5.It seems to be unpredictable or temperamental. Is there a reasonably-priced plugin that will create lines that are completely adjustable?
During the past week, Photoshop keeps quitting after I have used the Camera RAW Filter and then pressed OK.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have photoshop CS2 in Windows Vista Home Premium. At first it was working fine. Then I noticed that the 3D filter is absent. Still the rest of the program was working fine. Now when I go to open the CS2, it takes about 3 to 5 minutes to open, and when it finally does open, it causes everything (both photoshop and non-photoshop items) that is displayed on the monitor screen to be 'fuzzy', and the CS2 screen does not fit the monitor screen properly. Also, the 'Save-As' fly-out seems to have reverted to a primitive version. For example, there is no 'Save as JPEG' option pesent. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but there was no difference. My torment continues, no doubt I have lost a few strands of hair...

View 9 Replies View RelatedWith Photoshop CC, when editing a video and adding a "Camera Raw Filter" to some video layer, the effect will be applied only to one frame and not to the whole video layer.
Should it not add that filter to the whole layer (e.g. all frames in that clip)?
