AutoCad 3D :: Kerb Stone Which Includes Pedestrian Ramp
Apr 19, 2013
Im doing a 3D design of kerb stone which includes a pedestrian ramp.
Please refer to my picture.
The kerb stone I have issues with is the one I have provided dimensions for. From the right edge, the height of the stone is 225mm, then is slopes down to 110mm. But what I could acchive is that the right 100mm I have shown is meant to be 75mm which the back stays at 110mm. Is there a way I can achieve this?
I am trying to bild a ramp in 3d but i've been trying with no success, the ramp have a non common shape. pls look at the acad file to take a loot at the shape.
I need to have the top part at 5531mm and the bottom part at 0 and there is another part which is at 5035mm you can see that in the drrong and the ramp must 100mm thick or something similar. also i need to do it as a solid becouse i need to export it on a different software which only ecrpts solids.
How do you merge a ramp on to the main highway using corridors? Also how would you make that surface with two different alignments? I have my main road alignment and a ramp that comes on to it so the problem I'm having is making my 3d model with the road and surface combine.
I have a problem I am using Autocad lite 2011 and need to draw if you can picture a column with a 15 mm deep fillet 42 mm wide which has a ramp and twist applied to it spiraling all the way up it. How do i go about this.
I'm attempting to use the Superelevation tool on an interchange. I have 4, 1-lane ramps that I need to apply superelevation to. The three issues I have (so far) are:
In the Calculate Superelvation Wizard...
1. In Roadway Type, I don't know what to choose, I'm leading toward Undivided Crowned (center Baseline ) because my assembly (as of right now) is set up as an undivided crowned roadway (with the crown on the west travel lane edge). Which Roadway Type I should choose (for a 1-lane Ramp with different shoulder widths?)
2. Moving on to the the Lanes category doesn't matters. I uncheck symmetric Roadway, hoping I can choose "0" for the number of lanes on the Left, or at least put the lane width down to "0" but can't do either. I uncheck the Symmetric Roadway and it still makes everything symmetric (it acts as though it is still checked?) I only want to show a single 15' lane. (I even tried to use undivided planar, and put both lanes at 7.5'each, but then I still have shoulder issues...)
3. Move to the Shoulder Control. Why doesn't it give me the option to do different shoulder widths? On ramps it is very common (at least in Wisconsin) to have an 8ft shoulder on the right and a 4ft shoulder on the left. How can I type in 2 different shoulder widths.
I'm having a problem here with hatching in AutoCAD 2000. The existing hatch patterns doesn't fulfill my needs and I need something more specific to hatch a cobble stone area. In my aCAD hatch patterns there's not a good hatch for it and I looked that I can do my own pattern using Notepad etc. but unfortunately I don't have a time to do that.
So, my question is: Is there any simple ways to create your own hatch patterns for example like in Microstation where it is very easy to do. There is an option that I can use cells (blocks in ACAD) as hatch patterns.
Or can I maybe download a custom *.pat file from somewhere and use it?
I'm trying to import a stone hatch pattern from the Internet but every time I try to import it into my hatch gallery it says error in pattern file. would like a couple different hatch patterns to show my customers rather than just brick.
The attached hatch includes grips inside it and thus as the lisp command “generate boundary from hatch multiple” is applied, more than one boundary is created
The dwg and the lisp file are attached
How to convert this sort of hatch to be uniform (without grips inside) so that the lisp command can create only one boundary for the hatch?
Is there any way to export a 3D dwf that includes layer information? In searching for an answer to this there were some responses that it really wasn't possible, however those were from previous versions of AutoCAD. I'm using 14 now. Is there any new functionality in 14 that allows this?
I have a 2 mile alignment of a railroad loop track and I am looking to generate a report that include both information at 50' increments and the curve data, i.e. PI, PT, so I can generate a staking report for the surveyors. I noticed that there are pre-canned reports that handle one or the other but not both.
i want to add to this image a ramp effect starting from the center to the bottom, the start colour must be like the center and gradually become black at the bottom... but must looks like all natural without horrible cut or different colour etc it's possible? i suppose yes, but how?
I am trying to create a Pipe Network table where my structures are located by Lat and Long. In the Table Component Editor under Properties I have a selection for 'Structure Northing' and 'Structure Easting' but I'm looking for the Properties Latitude and Longitude. How is it possible to add Lat and Long to my Structure Table?
Is it possible to loft a shape which includes a hole or a section missing?
I am trying to loft the following shape but it doesn't seem to work with the missing section in the middle. Currently the 2 sketches are the same but in the actual design they aren't. i wanted to test if it would work with the same sketches but it doesn't.
We have Civil 3D 2013 (and 14). We need to create an ArchGIS file that includes pipe networks created with C3D, pavement and building which are polylines. export from C3D to shp file, or import dwg into ArchGIS. Since no one here has worked is familiar with map where would be a good place to start looking for information on accomplishing this task.
I am attempting to make a frame that includes a couple bent members.
This is a side view of my frame. I am trying to make it so that the outer members are simply one piece of angle iron that is notched and bent at the angles. I have not been able to figure out how to do this and as it stands right now, that piece of the frame is made up of 5 seperate lengths of angle iron. Is there any way to get it as one piece in the frame generator or any other way for that matter?

I am totally new to Revit...basically teaching myself with this project. I need to create a ramp that goes from -1 level to ground, 12 feet up. I have created the walls for the path but I cannot, for the life, figure out a ramp. I have tried but I guess I don't understand how it works. I tried making a straight path with switch backs but I can't get that to work well either and that's not the design I want anyway. I copied the path of the ramp into a new file, which I have attached.
I'm trying to create a lower thirds that will include some motion, otherwise I might try Photoshop for this. But basically, I'm trying to create a gradient using ramp in AE so that the lower thrids I've created fades away on the sides. Similar to the image I've attached. I don't know how to make the layer that I put the ramp effect on affect the other layers.
I wanna confirm this bug. I'm almost sure it's generalized but who knows. But in most systems I've tried I couldn't get Gradient Ramp to show as viewport background when using Nitrous.
System specs vary greatly from Mac Pros to Dells and ATI and Geforces and one QuadroFX 3700. Most with recent graphic drivers.
I've added a stone material to my wall surface but when I hit render the edge looks very sharp. My question is how do I get the edge to look more rounded and give a more realistic look to the edge. I've attached my rendered image and below an image of what I would like it to be.
