I'm trying to create a lower thirds that will include some motion, otherwise I might try Photoshop for this. But basically, I'm trying to create a gradient using ramp in AE so that the lower thrids I've created fades away on the sides. Similar to the image I've attached. I don't know how to make the layer that I put the ramp effect on affect the other layers.
View 3 RepliesI am trying to make a video where one man reaches his hand through the other mans chest and I have it all lined up perfectly by changing each video's opacity to 50% but I was wondering how to make it like opacity is in effect but each one is 100% where i can see both people fully. How could I make it to where it looks like they are in the same video together just like opacity does but make them full instead of see through.

Repro: Import any footage to a new project - any resolution or frame rate. Create new composition from clip. Type in "Crop" in effects search Double click to load it. Result is an effect called "Wigglerama" & "transform" gets loaded instead of the required "Crop" effect

I have PSE11 and purchased Paint the Moon effects. How can I view both the Layers panel and the Effects panel at the same time? Was this an option in older versions of PSE that are used in the Paint the Moon tutorials?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using CS6 and noticed that whenever I delete a layer that was a dupe of another layer with links (although not linked specifically to the deleted layer), the undeleted original layers become invisible on the canvas even though they are still visible in the layers pallette. I've been able to recreate this several times. Nothing I do will make the layers visible -I've tried moving them all to the top of the layers palette, making sure their opacity is 100%, making sure there are no layer effects, etc.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running AE CS6 (on MBPro OS X 10.7.5) and I just re-opened a file made with AE CS4 that uses some BCC plug-ins which I haven't re-installed in CS6. I got an alert that some effects were missing from the project. I'd like to find out where the effects are used in the project so I can delete them and end the alert message's reign of terror. Is there a shortcut way of doing that or must I hunt through every layer manually?

View 6 Replies View Relatedhow to create a self generating space (static stars/particles) which is driven by the movement of the 3d camera.
The reason I ask is because I need to create a space flythrough over a long period (3mins) and i don't want to create a huge volumetric space to simply fly through as it seems very inefficient. Plus it has the drawback of the partcile cloud being visible at the boudary of the volume due to the lack of particles the other side of the volumetric boundary.
What the particular effect would need to do is act as a volume attached to the cameras position and rotation which generates particles at the exact opposite velocity of the camera so it gives the illusion that the particles are static and that the camera is flying past them.
I am trying to bild a ramp in 3d but i've been trying with no success, the ramp have a non common shape. pls look at the acad file to take a loot at the shape.
I need to have the top part at 5531mm and the bottom part at 0 and there is another part which is at 5035mm you can see that in the drrong and the ramp must 100mm thick or something similar. also i need to do it as a solid becouse i need to export it on a different software which only ecrpts solids.
Is there any way out to find out ramp quantity in revit architecture?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using the floor to build the parking ramp. The ramp slopes down from west to east. I used the slope arrow to achieve it.
But I just found out today that that parking ramp also slopes down from north to south at the same time because of the sloped site.
So, how can do a 2 way slope at the same time? I tried to add the 2nd sloped arrow but that option is greyed out.
I have a 1-minute clip that I've been working on. The first 30s I want to playback at normal speed. Between 30 and 36s I want the playback speed to gradually increase to about double the normal playback speed. At 36s I want it to stay at double speed for a few seconds and then gradually return to realtime playback. I don't want it to suddenly go from normal speed to double speed. From what I've read this is possible with the TimeWarp effect or enabling time re-mapping. Since I don't know how to do either I decided to look up some tuts on TimeWarp. I didn't find much and when I add the TimeWarp effect to my footage layer, all the color correction I did on it disappears.
I guess I'm wondering two things:
-How do I accomplish the speeding up and slowing down that I described above?
-If I'm supposed to use Timewarp, why does it create issues with my color and how do I fix it?
I designed an image in Photoshop CS6 and brought it in After Effects I wanted to add rain then following CC drizzle effect so that the image I designed looks like the drizzle is hitting the character shoulders and arm area.
As I add the drizzle effect I have some areas around the charcter that the drizzle is also hitting how do I remove the unwanted drizzle effect areas ?I tried eraser tool but that did not work unless Im doing that wrong.
The last thing I'm having touble with, how do I get my audio sound effect ( rain sound ) to play at the same time as the rain fall effect and drizzle effect all at the same time?
I have a Early 2013 Macbook Pro, CS5.5, Pixel Bender, and just downloaded Droste.
When Droste is chosen : immediately the CS5.5 shuts down with an error message,happened in both PS and AE. The error message is "bad access" and "kern invalid address"
( i tried a couple other plugins, same crash, same error message )
I need the brush size for the write-on effect to go larger than 50.

I have many projects where I use a null as a controller with many sliders etc to control the animation of many layers. I open a couple of effect control windows and lock them with the contents of the controllers in them. Works great UNTIL I switch to a new workspace - even if it's based on the original and was saved with the effect control windows open in it. At that point, all effect control windows are removed.
I have to then re-open, position and select layer, lock etc - takes ages.
Why aren't the effect control woindows saved, even if they're empty, it would work as you'd expect it to.
I have applied two different wiggle effects at different times (scale & position) to a 3D text layer, but find that the shadow cast on a background solid does not move in concert with the text. Wiggling Text--Static Shadow.

I have created the walls for the path but I cannot, for the life, figure out a ramp. I have tried but I guess I don't understand how it works. I tried making a straight path with switch backs but I can't get that to work well either and that's not the design I want anyway. I copied the path of the ramp into a new file, which I have attached.
