View 2 Replies View RelatedI made a fillet earlier and then continued to work on the part. Now when I try to delete the fillet (to replace it with chamfer) Inventor gives me a box: "delete features" and the middle box can be selected which says "dependent sketches and features". If I check the box and hit ok, some of the unreleated holes and chamfers gets deleted and the fillet I wanted to delete doesn't get deleted. If I uncheck the box, different chamfers and threads dissappear, fillet I wanted to delete stays in place again and yellow box appears on the corner of the part. So what should I do to just delete the fillet and keep everything else?

When the modify dimensions box is open, the 'roundoff' menu gives me 1/16", 1/8" etc, even when DECIMAL is selected as the unit format.
This wasn't happening earlier, not sure what's going on. [in fact in a solved problem from earlier, a colleague found a drawing that had units set to millimeters, had its insertion scale set to inches! Different computer, so not related].
I am trying to edit a JPEG. It is one layer. My mode is Normal with 100% opacity, 100% fill. The layer is not locked.
I can use several tools including move, magic wand, paint bucket, crop. However, I cannot use the eraser, paintbrush, healing tool, clone stamp (which is the one I desperately need to use) or many others.
I need to split a landscape in to 2 parts, it is made of 3d faces?how to do it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to make a dynamic block where I will insert the total length of this “ panel”. Say 3720mm, and that it will divide the “panel” into equal segments with a maximum segment width of 1240mm. ( so with 3720mm that would make 3x 1240mm segments)
Say it would be a “panel” of 5500mm it would be 5 segments of 1100mm, and a “panel” of lets say 3750mm would make 4 segments of 937,5mm.
I made a drawing to illustrate what I mean, A dynamic block for this will save a lot of time!
(here is the example)
The project is to determine to upper 300 acres and 25 square miles of watersheds to determine a point in a stream to comply with a forestry law. The law is explained in the brochure [URL]......... Page two has a simple map explanation. The points to find are the 300 acres & 25 square miles thresh holds in watersheds.
I am working with Map3D 2014. This could be done with drawing polygons, shp, or sdf. The output would be the points in the streams. A stream is from its origin downstream to its mouth at another stream, wetland, lake, pond or ocean. Watersheds smaller than 300 acres get included into the next stream watershed downstream.
how can i divide circle in to 48 or 24 equal parts in photoshop cs without getting jagged edges, i m desperately need this divided circle,
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn AutoCAD Architecture the project can be divided into divisions [URL] ...... Is there anything similar in Revit? Or is there a parameter, that enables dividing the project into divisions during IFC export? The aim is to have an IFC model with divisions, that are visible in a model tree view (for example in Solibri Model Viewer).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI made 3 circles one inside the other. each has a stroke applied. I created 2 triangles and joined them to make an hour glass shape. I placed the hour glass over the circles.
Now i am trying to use the hour glass to cut the 3 circles below. It ends up looking like a spider web. In these photos the antennae is 2 shapes and on top of the layers that hold what i have described.
I have the following image above where I'm trying to add color to different aspects of the drawing. For instance, I'd like to be able to add color to the hair (ie the eyebrows and hair on top of his head) and I'm using live paint to do this. The problem is, some of the live paint areas spill into each other, ie the hair spills into the outline of the head, etc. So I'm wondering, what is the best way to go about dividing these areas so live paint recognizes them as two different entities? What I've been doing currently is drawing a line segment, and then using divide below, however this gives me unpredictable results sometimes and I have a hunch there is a better way.

View 6 Replies View Relateddividing a page equally and most importantly accurately in photoshop/illustor/indesign(all CS3) i guess you could think of it as exstablishing a grid.
so to be more specific here are the measurments of my photoshop document:
height: 27.3cm
width: 18.4 cm
so what im trying to do is divde this in to a grid field of 16, ie 4 fields deep and 4 fields high
now what i have tried to do is divide the page in half, so 18.4/2=9.2cm
but the rulers on my page go up in halves so 1,1.5,2,2.5cm so how do i indicate the 9.2 mark accurately. is there a way to make the ruler more accurate?
the same problem goes with the height.
hope u guys can help! ive been wrecking my brains with this one!
also i have some really quickfire questions:
1) should i always work in CMYK and print in CMYK?
2) can someone explain spot color and how to take something to print using it.
I created a circle, then drew line segments from the radius to the edge of the circle in 15 degree increments by copying and repeating. Now I'm stumped. Can I somehow divide this to create independent wedges?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was using PSE6 and just installed PSE12. I work alot with pictures and the option in editor/image to divide multiple photos in one scan does not work. It is pale in print and does not have an arrow like the other choices.
I have a HP PC using Windows 7 and a scanner that worked just fine, Canon LIDE.
I recently downloaded a Trial Version of PSP X5, and one of Adobe PSE11. For my purposes, I find PSP easier to use and therefore preferable. However, in PSE11, a scan of several photos contained in a single file can be "auto" split or divided into individual files, and as such can be edited individually. Try as I have, I have found nothing similar in PSP X5. This could be a deal breaker, as I have numerous old photos to scan and edit, and I find that doing 3 to 5 at a time is a big time saver. Does PSP 5 has this feature?

I don't want to cut the shape up, just keep it as a multi-colored object.I've tried scissors and similar tools but they cut and this is not what I want.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am creating three shapes out of a pyramid. I figure if I split the pyramid in half, I can create two, then mirror them and blend the two together to make the final design. I have figured out how to create a pyramid by extruding a cube with a taper.
My pyramid is 40mm x 40mm x 40mm. I need to cut it in half, diagonally, top to bottom.
When I have the pyramid in the workspace, I see nothing that I can select - that will allow me to create lines where I need to - to cut them out.
I'll add a logo in 3-d that I am trying to create. (also, I am using this project to familiarize myself with the software.)
I am currently printing/plotting a ANSI D size drawing to 1:2 scale but whether I plot directly to the printer or publish to PDF I lose the drawing border.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a purchase component set that includes 2 identical pcs. i.e. part number xxx01(.iam) consists of part01(.ipt) and part01(.ipt). Typically I would place xxx01(.iam) into an upper level assembly, and get a BOM count of xxx01 QTY = 1. This works fine.
Now I have a similar component xxx02(.iam) that includes part02(.ipt) and part02(.ipt). With this component I use only half of the purchase component set in many instances. Therefore I would like to have the ability to place part02(.ipt) as a single part and have a BOM count of xxx02 QTY = 0.5.
The best solutions I have found is either to place xxx02(.iam) and manually override the BOM count to 0.5, which is error prone, and inevitably causes an issue each time.
Or I can set the Part Number of part02(.ipt) to be xxx02, and create a User Parameter in part02(.ipt) called BOM_QTY and set it to 0.5 ul and then set the Unit Quantity (using the BOM tab of the part file's Documents Settings) to use the User Parameter. The result of this is a BOM count of xxx02 QTY = 0.5ul.This method displays ul in the Parts List, which of course is an issue as well.
Ray tracing disables when I use the half section view, when I turn it on again it disables the section view. Is there any way I can see a cross section of my assembly in realistic mode with ray tracing?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI decided to model an industrial iron caster wheel with polyurethane tread, and all went well. Tonight I added three ribs to one side of the caster wheel, which looks great, but I would rather not repeat the process on the other side because of all the fillets and such which would have to be repeated.
Is it possible to split the wheel down the middle and then mirror the side with the ribs? I saw that I can split the model with a plane, but I can't figure out how to remove the geometry on the left side of the plane.
I'm new to the architecture package, but not AutoCAD. I just got training and this has stumped my instructor and me. We use half doors in our buildings and can't figure out how to design one. The door and frame that will finish @ 42" AFF.

I made a half section view and it cuts what's above the plane of section in the Z direction, i mean all that's above this plane.
I want it to cut everything that's underneath, below the plane, at my choice, so i can inspect everything what is above the plane of section.

View 4 Replies View Related I set up our company log which gets embossed on most parts as a sketch block in an .ipt. The .ipt contains nothing but the sketch block. To use it, the designer only needs to derive the Logo.ipt file into their part and then use the scale setting to set the derived block to the desired size for that part. The result is a scalable set of line geometry that can easily be used for extrusion or emboss that is standard for all users. It works beautifully, that is until you try to use it in a sheet metal part in 2012.
For some reason, when this same part, which works perfectly in normal parts, is derived into a sheet metal part an error pops up stating that, "Selected part does not have any geometry that can be derived." Say what?
I was able to find a workaround by directly copying the block into the sheet metal part, but you no longer have the ability to go back and scale it if needed. Even more strange, when the block was copied over, it could not be deleted from the new part.
Is this just a bug with 2012? Why does it work in a normal part but not sheet metal?
Dear Sir, In particular project, when I insert part in Assembly file, It is inserted as a Tube & Pipe run part. so that It is not Grounded automatically. What is the settings by which I can insert as a normal part in assembly file ? I have attached herewith the JPG file also.
