In Autocad 2014 when I use the zoom or pan command transparently some information disappears (hatch) and only reappears when I finish the command. This did not happen with version 2009.

Just downloaded Autocad 2013 and am missing quite a few of the standard hatches (siding, soldier, board and batten, etc.) What should I do to get them back. When I open old drawings with these hatches in them, they load just fine...but I am unable to hatch any new areas with these hatches (because they are not listed in the hatch library)

All looks good in Model Space but when I do a print preview from Paper Space the hatch appears to be completely solid in color again and has no transparency.
when i want to use hatch in autocad 2014 LT, autocad stop working.
wheni chose my settings like pattern and scale everything is just fine.
after i select a field for hatching autocad stop responding.
this happend 9 out of 10 times...
im running service pack 1.
whenever I try to hatch something the cpu crashes. It even crashes in a new drawing file with nothing in it but a rectangle.

Under 3d Navigation section (very bottom), click the checkbox for Reverse Direction.

I can't zoom into a Geolocation Aerial Photos in Civil 3D 2014. I get "No Photo" background if I try to zoom in close enough to see.

whenever you use the hatch command sends the message fatal mistake and closes the program.

We've set the transparency to a hatch to 90 and it still has a solid color. How can we make it transparent?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a large transparent hatch in one drawing and copied it into 2 other drawings for use. 2 out of the 3 drawings plot to dwf and then to a plotter or pdf as expected but the 3rd dwf looks good until you plot that to a plotter or pdf; then it turns solid, masking everything underneath it.
additionally, if I go straight from CAD to pdf or plotter the transparency is removed as well.
cetransparency = bylayer
plot with transparenccy is checked on
I tried copying everything to a new drawing with no luck.
I realise this is an old thread, just wondering if any new tweaks have some to the surface to all the wheel-double-click action to be altered. Currently my mouse is set to ZOOM>EXTENTS like I imagine most people's is. Lately I've been getting a lot of "Requires a regen, cannot be transparent" errors while trying to zoom>extents, and I would like to introduce a REGEN call into the wheel-double-click macro. REGENAUTO is set to ON.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a drawing in Acad 2010 which consist of about 6000 lines. The image is a ship, and I need the drawing to insert in a HMI screen.
Now my problem: The accomedation of the ship is white, as is the background of the sheet. I need the drawing with a black background, but want to keep the white color of the accomedation of the ship. When I change the backgroundcolor of the sheet to black, the white areas inside the drawing will also change into black. If I trie to hatch the white areas inside the drawing the program gives a messages that there are to many open bounderies.
I tried to make a blok of the drawing and move it on a black square, but then again the white areas will turn black.
So for short: How can I make the white areas non-transparent without using the hatch-command?????
I have a set of scanned drawings that they wanted marked up via AutoCAD to use for submittals. I made a nice check mark for all the "good" dimensions using a solid green hatch (which plots as green).
I brought the scanned drawings in as xref TIFFs and put my autocad objects over them. Problem is that when I go to PDF them, the check marks are transparent and I really don't want them to be. I've never messed with any transparency settings in our CAD and I've only noticed this issue when printing over top of images.
This is in Carlson 2014 BTW.
I am not sure when but at some point my solid hatch went missing from my CAD is there anyway to get it back? Where would I download this hatch pattern from?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded our office from 2010 (architecture package) to 2011 and I was very excited to use the new hatch improvements, but whenever I try to use the hatch command I don't get the contextual tab. I tried playing around with HPDLGMODE, and I can get the old style dialog box, but I was really looking forward to having all that on the ribbon. I looked in the CUI and I found the hatch creation one, and it's empty. I also noticed that many other contextual tabs are empty. I think maybe it's because of some setting I had it import from my previous release maybe?
We have multiple seats where I work (I'm in charge of everything computer related) and mine is the only one where this happens. Everyone one else that I set up has the contextual tab.
Should I just reinstall it without pulling in my settings and re-build my ribbon the way I had it?
I have a coworker who opens an Inventor 2014 (Inventor .dwg) drawing in AutoCAD Mech 2014 and only the views show. No annotations, titleblock, or border. If I open the same drawing in my AutoCAD Mech 2014, the drawing appears correct. Both have service pack 1 applied to Inventor and AutoCAD 2014...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI loaded 2013 Civil 3D and I customized my Ribbon with Zoom Commands I use frequently; everything looked fine...I changed the Workspace to Planning & Analysis and cutomized my Ribbon to include the Zoom Commands but a Button Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT came up with a cloud & question mark. I went to look for the Icon Image & I don't see it. I made the mistake of changing the Icon to another hoping I could change it back but it's not there. I went to the 2012 verison & the Button Icon is there...first icon listed. Where are the icons in 2012 so I can drag & drop image into 2013?
The icon has a point symbol with a magnifying glass. I've checked other computers and the same thing. Can't find the Image Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT. It shows up when you load the software but if you want to edit it...it's not there in the CUI Button Icons.
Where the "Layout constraint" options have gone in Inventor 2014?
Last seen in Inventor 2013 on the right-click menu of a part created through the "Make components" workflow, this invaluable tool has been abducted.
We've finally nibbled the bullet and upgraded to 2014. I'm getting errors in the Task Scheduler logs about missing files in various projects. It would appear that (almost) without exception, the failed files are all Content Center parts that were inserted as custom parts. Do I need to run a migration on the Content Center parts (Inventor/ContentCenter Files/R2013/en-US) in order for the custom parts to migrate properly?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWe experienced a problem. we have a drawing file, is about 1.6meg not big. while working in model space doing some 3D work, all of a sudden all the objects dissapear except for some text. all layers are on and thawed. we regen all, zoom all. weird thing is when we go into the paper space tabs everything shows up. so all the data is there some place but cant find it in model space.
there are no xrefs in the drawings and i had cleaned all the multiple copies out before to keep the file size down and more workable. this is happening on two machines. other drawings are fine.
Since yesterday The vault ribbon is missing in Inventor 2014 and also add ins are grayed out(not loaded).
win 7 x64 system?
Have installed inventor 2014 as part of the Product Design Suite Premium 2014 & have a few issues.
1). In sketch mode when drawing a line/circle etc there is usually a green dot in the centre of the crosshair, this is not vissible at all making it difficult (if not impossible) to see where the cursor is snapping to. The same happens in the drawing mode when dimensioning. I've checked the options but can't see anything obvious.
2). The icons in the 'Navigation Bar' are invisible, I've checked the opacity levels & irrespective of the setting they are still invisible. You can hover the mouse pointer over where they should be & they work, they're just not visible.
Also, the close, minimise & restore down icons in the top right corner are also invisible. Similar to the navigation bar issue, they work, they're just invisible.
Have tried uninstall & reinstall, & have downloaded & installed the update, but this doesn't solve these issues.
A work mate here at sometime or another clicked on the "always perform my current choice" check box when the "Hatch - Large, Dense Hatch Patterns" dialogue box appeared.
Question is, is there anyway to reset this so the dialogue box comes back up?
I have been migrating dozens and dozens of .pat files from one version of AutoCAD to the next for many, many versions. Most recently in AutoCAD 2013 the .pat files were stored in the C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2013SupportPatterns - worked fine. During the migration to 2014 I received an install error report stating that this subdirectory did not exist and could not be created. Alternately it stated that the new default path C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupport will be used instead.
At first I created the Patterns subdirectory where it could not be done automatically. No luck. Then I placed the Patterns subdirectory in C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupportPatterns and no luck.
We have a pipe part list that we have based of our own catolgue and it work fined in our template in 2012 and how we have upgraded to 2014 part of the list does not appear in the drop down selector see the screen capture attached? and figured out what caused it.
