I used a little bit Civil 3D 2013 for railway design purpose. I understood all the basics but I still have a question : how to implement a railway with double track? However, there are four assembly layers AutoCAD won't let me delete, but I cannot find any style or object referencing them. If it matters, the layers are C-ROAD-ASSM, C-ROAD-ASSM-BLIN, C-ROAD-ASSM-OFFS, and C-ROAD-SCTN-DIAG.

Based on some articels by Kean Walmsley, I have successfully implemented categorized properties in the OPM using a .NET wrapper and C#. I have a class imlementing the members of the IDynamic EnumProperty, ICategorizeProperties and IDynamicProperty2 interfaces (based on ObjectARX 2013).
However, I do not really understand how to code custom drop-down list using .NET wrapper and OPM. I am using AutoCAD 2013 and 2014. I have read a lot of posts regarding OPM but there was no useful information in regards to create custom drop-down lists.
Any good numbering systems that they currently implement in product design, rather than the conventional architectural numbering system mostly seen on websites and forums.

I know there is a replace clip facility but there appears to be no way of editing the new clip. What I would like to do is leave blanks in sync with the music and fill in correct length of shot later. The same question for overlaying video shots of an interview and holding sync when returning to interviewee.

My specific issue is that I have to go back and edit material sometimes that precedes the voice track I already have laid down, but when the time frame of the material after my new edit I have to go back and drag the voice track to the proper location. I would like to be able to permanently "attach" the voice track to the specific video clip and have it follow that clip as it is moved, time wise, during the editing process.
Is there a means to make this happen?
PS - I realize there is a work around way - just publish each clip and then rebuild the final project but that is NOT what I want to do.
I am trying to implement our new Styles Library for our Dimension styles. I keep getting this error (see attached).

Double clicking does in fact work properly, so there should be no reason the default cui (C3d.cuix) does not show any commands in the "double click actions" option.

1.I can't double click on dims to add / edit text. I've added / changed the cui double click settings but that does work.
2.The new array command does bring up the associated ribbon panel after the array has been created. I can get this to work while using Civils as AutoCAd, but not as Civils?
I have altered my CUI so when I double click on civil 3d objects it opens up their properties for quick editing. Never had a problem pre 2013 and I am sure this is something I did but am lost.
Every time I double click on any object it just opens up the properties box. It skips right over my double click customization.
I see that you can split the audio from the video. Can you do the reverse and link the audio back into the video say after you split, cut and mute an off camera scream? It would just make it easier to add clips before the edited one, although it's not all that hard to sync things up.

I've managed to change the existing colours to make it flat, and I worked out how to make highlighting by painting which saved a lot of heartbreak, but now the overlay comes through as a really garish colour or obliterates all detail.
What is the best setting to colour something like this?
is there an option that im missing to allow me to edit attributes in a block? i have set QAFLAGS to 0 and my pickfirst is set to 1.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add an alignment table, but the curves seem to be labelled twice. When I first labelled the alignment, the curves were C???, so I tried again. After a lot of messing around, I finally got C1, C2, etc., but the table lists C1 & then C?. I've thawed & turned on all the layers, but there aren't any C??? labels on the alignment. Another alignment in the same drawing worked fine.

and the Noun/Verb is checked . When I look at the CIVIL CUI, I do not have any double - clicks but the ACAD CUI does - this is load too right.
I was just wondering if you can customize your interface so you can edit note labels (or any labels for that matter) by double clicking. I've already gone throught the cui files but I can't find anything. Am I missing something. c3d 2007

I new to using the view frame groups we do allot of double plan view 11x17 sheets using an alignment on top of MrSid aerial drawings. It is very time consuming to setup the viewports along the alignment doing the old fashion method of copying the page setup and sliding the model space along the alignment for the next sheet. I understand the plan profile and cross section methods of creating multiple sheets and how the viewframe group works for those type of sheets. I'm just not sure how to create a dwt template for one plan view on top of another plan on the same sheet with to viewports. I know I'm not the only person that creates road cl double planviews when your not concerned about a profile.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a stack of images that constitute a smart object and would like to apply a stack mode of random. Random would randomly select one pixel from the stack and bring it to the top, go to the next pixel location and do the same, and so forth.
For example, if the stack was 5 layers deep, one of the 5 pixels would be randomly selected, without median, averaging, or any other merging algorithm applied.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm curious how many of you use note track in the track view/dope sheet? It is running damn slow here, 15sec to add a note track, 30sec adding a note in dopesheet and 1 mins before I could open up the note editor. I doubt it is being useful at all.
Moreover, the infamous Max MotionClip Manager bugs is caused by that... so do you really use it?
