AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Open Command Showing Wrong File Date

When I use the open command in C3D the file date is incorrect for a file. I also have a explorer windows open and it shows the same file with the current date.
This file is located on my local hard drive. C3D shows 11/15/2013 for the date the actual date of the file is 11/26/2013. Even after a save it's still wrong. My isavepercent is set to 0 .

if you care to not click-through, the problem is that certain commands (not all of them) simply do not disply in the command line. so the MOVE command for example looks like this:
NORMAL:
Command: _move
Select objects:
NOW:
Command:
Select objects:
same with QSAVE and who knows how many others.

Jun 21, 2012All of a sudden and out of the blue this window fails to apprear when trying to save a drawing to another location or to a different file name.
AutoCAD 2011 still has this funciton so have had to go back to using the earlier version.

May 6, 2009The command line window moved from the default location at the bottom of the screen to a floating position while I was working on a drawing yesterday. I don't know what I did but can't move or resize to get it back down to the bottom where it belongs. I can get it to dock to the left and right or float but nothing else. It doesn't behave like the the other palettes n that I can't seem to drag it anywhere.

Feb 9, 2007I can't find my Command Line Window. It somehow became undocked and is no where to be found on my screen. It does not appear to be floating anywhere. I've gone through all my display settings; however it says that it should be there and show 3 lines of commands.

Jul 28, 2012When I use the "Plot" command the rectangular drawing on the right side that is normally hatched to indicate the area to be plotted appears as being blank. I have been using the "Windows" option to define the extent of the plot. When the "Preview" command is used the plot appears as a blank screen.
I have tried various attempts to make this hatched drawing reappear but without success. I know that this needs to be present before I can successfully plot the drawing.

Sep 13, 2011An example is when I'm drawing a box, line etc and attempt to type "@5,-5", AutoCAD somehow jumps to a window on the side and if I don't notice will restore the window I'm working in and not complete the command I typed ("@5,-5" in this case). If I do notice in time, then I have to pres ESC about 3-4 times, which will then have me back on the command line with the text "@5,-" already typed (as if that was were I paused while typing??). The attached picture shows the dialog box on the top left, and the command line as if I've only typed "@", when after pressing ESC as mentioned the full "@5,-" text becomes visible on the command line?
Also, as a note: I've already ruled out that I'm pressing other keys that could possibly cause this...

But I am not familiar with LISP.... the situation is that I have many irregular lines distributed in disorder, and what I want to do is just lengthen these lines "3.5" Meters from the start point of each line.
If I can do this way , then I can join the line to some points correctly in Arcmap.
AutoCAD 2010 :: System Slows With Command Window Open?
May 27, 2011 With the command window displayed at the bottom of the screen, everything slows down. The cursor momentarily freezes and it takes a second or two for commands to be fulfilled. Also, the command window is about 7 lines high; in the past, I have shrunk it to maybe 3 or 4 lines but I cannot shrink this wndow.
Then, when I push control-9 and the window disappears, everything speeds up to normal!
I tried turning off my internet connection and my McAfee Viruscan as well. Running without the command window makes it hard to draft. Since I type shortcuts, I figure I must have hit the wrong key and unleashed something unspeakably terrible.
I am running AutoCAD version 10 on my PC, with Windows XP Professional.

Aug 2, 2012I'm working with our new copy of AutoCAD 2013 and using the Visual LISP IDE to create code. I also have an AC2009 machine right next to me for other tasks. On the 2013 machine when I click the "Load Active Edit Window" button it switches to the console screen but there are no messages printed like:

This of course is making it extremely difficult to debug. I have checked the environment settings and they are exactly the same on each machine. The AC2009 machine prints the messages but the AC2013 machine is just giving me a blank console screen.

Apr 22, 2013Suddenly, the multi line text editor in no longer displaying when I select "new" from within the DIMEDIT command. I'm presuming that there is some sort of system variable that controls this, but I have not been able to find it in the help files. The Mtext editor is working from the Mtext command, so I know it's not the DTEXTED variable.

I can see everything that I'm doing in the layer preview thumbnail, but all I see on the main design screen is the 'transparent' background. They show up fine in the menu bar brush window, in the Preset Manager, in the Brush Preset palette above my layers palette, but they will not appear in the brush preset fly-out window. This is where I do all the manipulating of my brushes, of course, so this is essential. I have created many, many brushes and done this many, many times and have never had this problem.

Mar 27, 2012Before i import from my SD card into lightroom I create 2 named folders - one on my hard drive and another for back up on my external hd.In LR inport dialogue box I choose the hard drive folder as my main destination and select my ext hard drive folder as my make second copy to folder
I untick the make a second copy to box.I choose Copy and click import..All images are copied OK but only the hard drive folder shows up in the folders display area under library even though the back up copy shows in the ext hard drive folder.
Is it possible to get both folders to show in the display?
Lightroom :: 5 - Photo Edits Not Showing In Main Window Of Develop Module
Jul 27, 2013I just now installed LR5, converting my LR3 catalog to LR5 catalog. Everything seemed to go fine. I picked one photo and converted to the 2012 process. The new sliders appeared.
The problem: Any changes I make are seen only in the Navigator window, not the main window. I figured there had to be a simple fix, but I've scoured the web and can find no one having similar problems.
Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6 :: Transparency Command Window Too Small
Jul 9, 2012Why is the Transparency command window in the Clone Tool property bar so narrow? By comparison, the window for the Feather command next to it is twice the size. The reason for the moan is because my display is set to 110% as I like to see slightly larger text but I've had to go down to 100% because I can only see one complete digit in that tiny little window.
Is there any way to make it a touch wider so I can see two digits without a problem?
Display set to 1900 x 1200 on 32-bit XP.
GIMP :: Showing Masks As Overlay And Command To See Layer Underneath Current One?
May 20, 20121. Is there a "show quick mask" feature for showing masks?
I know Gimp has a "*Show quick mask*" feature which shows what you have(and haven't) selected by displaying a red overlay over your image,allowing you to add to or subtract from a selection by using the paintbrush, but I haven't found a similar feature for showing masks.
Photoshop has this feature (it's called 'reveal mask' I think) and it basically just shows a red overlay of your mask on your image so that,similar to the quick mask feature in Gimp, you can see where you have and haven't masked through.
(I don't own Photoshop so I'm not sure if the red overlay shows the opacity with which you've masked through or whether or not you can edit the mask when it's being shown as a red overlay.)
2. Is there a command for showing the layer underneath the current layer I'm working on?
This is another feature that I've seen Photoshop has that is useful for blending multiple exposures (and lots of things, really).
Basically it's just a keyboard shortcut for showing the layer underneath your current when you hold down a certain keyboard command (it's not something you toggle since it's meant for quickly viewing what's on the layer underneath your current one).
I know I can press space bar to show or hide the layer I'm currently working on, but I can't do that unless I focus into the layers dialogue first. It'd be nice if I could activate that functionality from anywhere,regardless of whether I'm focused on the layers dialogue.
Do either of these features exist in Gimp?
AutoCad :: Options Window Not Display When Typing Options In Command Line Or Selecting From Drop Down
Jul 2, 2013The options window will not display when typing "options" in the command line or selecting from the drop down. The options menu has to be hidden somewhere because AutoCad will not allow any other commands after typing options until I hit escape. I have tried restarting CAD and rebooting my computer with not luck.

Jun 14, 2012if you look at the image attached the colours on the right are what the color picker is displaying and if I use that hex code thats the colour the web page displays, but if i fill in any element the colours circled on the left are shown in photoshop.
Why is the color picker window showing a different color to the whats displayed?
