When I run the DI command and specify two points, it gives all the details including the distance between the points in the commandline.
Is there any way (may be using cui or lisp) so that the same result appears in form of a popup window??
I wrote some LISP programs. I would like to use the output data generated by LISP program in Command arear of AutoCAD. I Heard we can dave the output data into .dat files.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with 2013 that I loose command line output; as in no muttering or cmdecho but I do not have anything set to that way. My cmdecho is set to 1, and nomutt is set to 0.
If I opent textscr then I can see the out put, but nothing on the command line.
I have never seen this before but it just started withing the last week or so and it makes debugging a real difficult.
After just installing 2013, I decided to change the screen appearance and move the command line into its traditional area at the bottom - I over dragged and it disappeared off the screen. I have tried CTRL+9 and using the Ribbon Commands and nothing seems to work.
I have looked at the Preferences and cannot find anything to indicate the commandline or how to customize with the exception of colour and text colour!! Where it has gone and how do I get it back?

I thought my password might be wrong, so I also used the 1st popup window to request that it be sent to me... and I got a message that says:An email has been sent to you .... but I never get the email.

I am finding that if I start with a CommanLine (not full width of the screen) centered on the bottom of the drawing window, as I am working the CommandLine has increased to the full width of the screen.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.

Can I run the dataextraction command via a command line and respond to the prompts via lisp or script. In other words is there a commandline version of dataextraction - setting cmddia to 0 doesn't work.

I don't know what I did but can't move or resize to get it back down to the bottom where it belongs. I can get it to dock to the left and right or float but nothing else. It doesn't behave like the the other palettes n that I can't seem to drag it anywhere.

EDIT-- It seems I can't upload an image big enough to show the issue. You'll have to take my word for it.
I'm not sure if I have a difficulty with all .pdf plots from AutoCAD, or if it mainly concerns those with .pdf underlays. I am generating some drawings usings .pdf underlays with other information added to the underlay information.
The underlay appears to be exhibit good line and text resolution. When I zoom into the overlay, I can read the information and the quality looks great.
The problem seems to be when I then plot a drawing as a .pdf. Using Acrobat to increase the zoom level, the lines and text on the drawing become very distorted and are hard to read.
I can't find my Command Line Window. It somehow became undocked and is no where to be found on my screen. It does not appear to be floating anywhere. I've gone through all my display settings; however it says that it should be there and show 3 lines of commands.

Unable to create output file - Make sure destination directory is writable and that the disk is not full. Rendering aborted.The drive is only approx. 30% full. I've closed/reopened the file to no avail.Also, I've closed/restarted ACAD.It always seems that AutoCAD acts goofy whenever I have a deadline.
A way to automatically output a point into a table. For instance having a table searching for a specific block reference or point inside a block or external reference and submitting this into a table with x,y coordinates?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAn example is when I'm drawing a box, line etc and attempt to type "@5,-5", AutoCAD somehow jumps to a window on the side and if I don't notice will restore the window I'm working in and not complete the command I typed ("@5,-5" in this case). If I do notice in time, then I have to pres ESC about 3-4 times, which will then have me back on the command line with the text "@5,-" already typed (as if that was were I paused while typing??). The attached picture shows the dialog box on the top left, and the command line as if I've only typed "@", when after pressing ESC as mentioned the full "@5,-" text becomes visible on the command line?
Also, as a note: I've already ruled out that I'm pressing other keys that could possibly cause this...

as title if I need to select one by one，it will be too slow....Should this function be accompolished by LISP? But I am not familiar with LISP.... the situation is that I have many irregular lines distributed in disorder, and what I want to do is just lengthen these lines "3.5" Meters from the start point of each line.
If I can do this way , then I can join the line to some points correctly in Arcmap.
With the command window displayed at the bottom of the screen, everything slows down. The cursor momentarily freezes and it takes a second or two for commands to be fulfilled. Also, the command window is about 7 lines high; in the past, I have shrunk it to maybe 3 or 4 lines but I cannot shrink this wndow.
Then, when I push control-9 and the window disappears, everything speeds up to normal!
I tried turning off my internet connection and my McAfee Viruscan as well. Running without the command window makes it hard to draft. Since I type shortcuts, I figure I must have hit the wrong key and unleashed something unspeakably terrible.
I am running AutoCAD version 10 on my PC, with Windows XP Professional.
Civil 3D 2013/ When I try to move or un-dock the command line window, a red circle with a line through it appears.
When I switch work spaces still the same result.
Suddenly, the multi line text editor in no longer displaying when I select "new" from within the DIMEDIT command. I'm presuming that there is some sort of system variable that controls this, but I have not been able to find it in the help files. The Mtext editor is working from the Mtext command, so I know it's not the DTEXTED variable.
