AutoCAD 2013 :: Scroll Bar In Command Window?
Jul 25, 2012I noticed that when I open the command window with F2, the scroll bar is missing
I suppose there's some new variable in 2013 that has to be set but can't find it

AutoCAD 2013 :: Command Line History Doesn't Scroll?
Aug 28, 2013Why is it that when I click in the command line history field (when docked) and roll the mouse wheel I can't scroll it up or down? There is no visible scroll bar until the cursor is moved to the other side of the window (a long way on the 30" display), and grabbing this will scroll the command history, yet the wheel wont work.
If the command line is undocked and the disclosure triangle is clicked to display the history, the scroll wheel DOES scroll the list.

Jan 29, 2013When I run the DI command and specify two points, it gives all the details including the distance between the points in the commandline.
Is there any way (may be using cui or lisp) so that the same result appears in form of a popup window??
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Often Freezes Mid-command When Scroll Over A Contour Line
Apr 24, 2012It happens during many different commands. The command itself doesn't seem to affect this problem. It doesn't always happen, but every so often, as I'm in the middle of a command, when I scroll past a contour line the program freezes. Sometimes it comes back to life after a few seconds of thinking, but sometimes it just sits there non-responsive forever.
Possible ideas:
-Contour Labels set to "Mask Contour Line Only"
-Dynamic Inputs on
-Selection Preview is on (but it's disabled for "When a command is active")
-Surface is shortcutted into the drawing
-Contours are from an XREF

If I scroll across from left to right the same colors just keep repeating themselves. There are no shades of gray or blue. Jan 16, 2013The vertical scroll bar don't really bother me, it's the bottom scroll bar that I mostly want to hide. I never use them and the horizontal one take too much space that hide some "tabs". I know I can "minimize" the horizontal one, but I have to do it every single time I start AutoCAD. So I've search a way to hide them but come with nothing.

Apr 4, 2013Is there anyways to change the scroll direction on the trackpad of Mac 2013 Autocad? I like Autocad but I don't like how it uses the "natural" scrolling even with it turned off in OS X. It is just weird having your OS work one way but Autocad work the opposite.

May 15, 2012I press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.

I don't know what I did but can't move or resize to get it back down to the bottom where it belongs. I can get it to dock to the left and right or float but nothing else. It doesn't behave like the the other palettes n that I can't seem to drag it anywhere.

Sep 13, 2011An example is when I'm drawing a box, line etc and attempt to type "@5,-5", AutoCAD somehow jumps to a window on the side and if I don't notice will restore the window I'm working in and not complete the command I typed ("@5,-5" in this case). If I do notice in time, then I have to pres ESC about 3-4 times, which will then have me back on the command line with the text "@5,-" already typed (as if that was were I paused while typing??). The attached picture shows the dialog box on the top left, and the command line as if I've only typed "@", when after pressing ESC as mentioned the full "@5,-" text becomes visible on the command line?
Also, as a note: I've already ruled out that I'm pressing other keys that could possibly cause this...

But I am not familiar with LISP.... the situation is that I have many irregular lines distributed in disorder, and what I want to do is just lengthen these lines "3.5" Meters from the start point of each line.
If I can do this way , then I can join the line to some points correctly in Arcmap.
AutoCAD 2010 :: System Slows With Command Window Open?
May 27, 2011 With the command window displayed at the bottom of the screen, everything slows down. The cursor momentarily freezes and it takes a second or two for commands to be fulfilled. Also, the command window is about 7 lines high; in the past, I have shrunk it to maybe 3 or 4 lines but I cannot shrink this wndow.
Then, when I push control-9 and the window disappears, everything speeds up to normal!
I tried turning off my internet connection and my McAfee Viruscan as well. Running without the command window makes it hard to draft. Since I type shortcuts, I figure I must have hit the wrong key and unleashed something unspeakably terrible.
I am running AutoCAD version 10 on my PC, with Windows XP Professional.

Jul 9, 2012Why is the Transparency command window in the Clone Tool property bar so narrow? By comparison, the window for the Feather command next to it is twice the size. The reason for the moan is because my display is set to 110% as I like to see slightly larger text but I've had to go down to 100% because I can only see one complete digit in that tiny little window.
Is there any way to make it a touch wider so I can see two digits without a problem?
Display set to 1900 x 1200 on 32-bit XP.

Jul 2, 2013The options window will not display when typing "options" in the command line or selecting from the drop down. The options menu has to be hidden somewhere because AutoCad will not allow any other commands after typing options until I hit escape. I have tried restarting CAD and rebooting my computer with not luck.

Jul 16, 2013In AutoCAD LT 2013, whenever I open a drawing I previously created and stored, it opens with a small amout of the bottom of the drawing below the bottom border of the window. Repeatedly I have tried positioning the drawing the way I would like it to open then saving that configuration. That's how I always did it in AutoCAD 2000, my previous version. Regardless how many times I go thru that process, all drawings always open centered horiz'ly but with the bottom bit of the drawing below the bottom border of the window.
I constantly look for a "Center Drawing In Window" button, or "Save Current View" button and so far have found nothing I recognize as such or even close. Am I looking for something that doesn't exist? Am I not understanding how it works? In the grand scheme it really doesn't matter because it's simple to pan the drawing into a fully readable scene - but I am still curious.

Apr 2, 2012Multiple objects are selected, I hold shif and cross-window over objects from right to left, I expect everything I cross to be deselceted. I my testing only one item is deselected.
Is there a variable I am forgetting about here or is something a miss?
