Is there anyways to change the scroll direction on the trackpad of Mac 2013 Autocad? I like Autocad but I don't like how it uses the "natural" scrolling even with it turned off in OS X. It is just weird having your OS work one way but Autocad work the opposite.
View 1 RepliesThe vertical scroll bar don't really bother me, it's the bottom scroll bar that I mostly want to hide. I never use them and the horizontal one take too much space that hide some "tabs". I know I can "minimize" the horizontal one, but I have to do it every single time I start AutoCAD. So I've search a way to hide them but come with nothing.

I am attaching a scroll work for doors that I am trying to draw. But I am having problem on the smoothness of the curves that I am trying to make. What I do is I draw a series of arcs to replicate the reference image also attached in this message. Also, when I print this into PDF, what happens is that the lines break where the arcs intersect in CAD, also attached here.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhy is it that when I click in the command line history field (when docked) and roll the mouse wheel I can't scroll it up or down? There is no visible scroll bar until the cursor is moved to the other side of the window (a long way on the 30" display), and grabbing this will scroll the command history, yet the wheel wont work.
If the command line is undocked and the disclosure triangle is clicked to display the history, the scroll wheel DOES scroll the list.

I have a polyline that meets itself back at the beginning. It should be closed and appears to be. I joined several lines to get the polyline. When I try to offset it I can only offset towards the inside and not the outside. Is there a reason for this or am I doing something wrong?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIf I am copying an object using snaps vertically down a wall a certain distance and come to a wall corner and then need to copy the object the same distance horizontally as I did vertically is there an easy way to enter this new direction? I keep thinking that I would just enter displacement and for X I should be able to use my mouse and snap/measure the old Y distance and then put Y,Z as 0. However, there is no option to get a relative distance in displacement. Is there something I am missing in the command?

i found the problem of dimension when moving the whole object inclusive the dimension to any direction.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have created a linetype with the text GAS OPTION in it. The line is continuous with a break around the text. In a straight line the linetype works fine (breaks around the text etc). However, when I use a polyline and spline the line for a curved line the text aligns with the direction of the line at the start, but when the line bends, the text suddenly changes direction and reads in the opposite direction. It looks like AutoCAD is trying to keep the text upright rather than following the direction of the line. When the text changes direction it also changes its insertion point and overlaps the continuous part of the line. I have 2013 AutoCAD.
Here is the string I used for the linetype.

I have cut several sections at different points along a road alignment. The sections are cut facing the same direction as the alignmnet. Is there a way to reverse the section direction without changing the alignment direction?

I have a drawing of a stone railing section and I have to change direction in the run direction of the baluster panel. Is there a way that I can move the details without changing th Y direction of the details. Please refer to the attached CAD file for details. I know there is a replace clip facility but there appears to be no way of editing the new clip. What I would like to do is leave blanks in sync with the music and fill in correct length of shot later. The same question for overlaying video shots of an interview and holding sync when returning to interviewee.

My specific issue is that I have to go back and edit material sometimes that precedes the voice track I already have laid down, but when the time frame of the material after my new edit I have to go back and drag the voice track to the proper location. I would like to be able to permanently "attach" the voice track to the specific video clip and have it follow that clip as it is moved, time wise, during the editing process.
Is there a means to make this happen?
PS - I realize there is a work around way - just publish each clip and then rebuild the final project but that is NOT what I want to do.
I have a path with a smooth point. The two direction points form a direction line with any non-45-degree-angle - say 11.8 degrees. I want to drag one direction point while keeping the angle of exactly 11.8 degrees.
Is there a key combination for that (Mac OS)?
I see that you can split the audio from the video. Can you do the reverse and link the audio back into the video say after you split, cut and mute an off camera scream? It would just make it easier to add clips before the edited one, although it's not all that hard to sync things up.

I'm curious how many of you use note track in the track view/dope sheet? It is running damn slow here, 15sec to add a note track, 30sec adding a note in dopesheet and 1 mins before I could open up the note editor. I doubt it is being useful at all.
Moreover, the infamous Max MotionClip Manager bugs is caused by that... so do you really use it?
Is there any way to push the video in the video track after the title track is completed ....

paletteset properties does have any properties related to scrollbar.
I have a request for a project to put in a scroll-type border around a map however I can not find anything in autocad that would work as a viewport border or linetype. I could possibly could use a graphic and scale around the layout but my choices are limited .

I just got a new computer, with acad 2012 and now I can't get the scroll wheel to pan .
I use a Logitech MX 3200 mouse/keyboard set.
I have upgraded the Logitech Setpoint software, changed the scroll wheel to "middle button", set MBUTTONPAN=1 in CAD, and still no go -
If I press the wheel down and hold it ABSOLUTELY still I get the PAN-grip symbol but as soon as I move the mouse it disappears.
I have this problem with AutoCAD 2012 and with LT2011. When first opening a drawing in a layout with the viewport locked and activated, the first scroll action moves the drawing within the viewport. After the first scroll, any scrolling moves the entire viewport as it should when locked. Putting the drawing back to where it was within the viewport requires unlocking the viewport or undoing everything back to the first scroll action. This is very anoying especially if you are zoomed in and can't see the edges of the viewport and don't notice the move right away. I did not have this problem in the older versions.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy company is using inventor 2010. I have 64 bit edition. When I zoom in on a dwg or ipt it zooms for like 1mm then my screen goes gray. If i click the restore down button then restore back to max drawing comes back but as soon as i try to scroll zoom again with my bamboo pen the screen grays out again. I've already updated my video driver to latest version and i've updated my bamboo pen driver to latest version. I also booted windows 7 64 bit into safe mode and check device manager to make sure no broken drivers or anything like that. Some times it will work for a few min then start graying out my screen again.
