View 4 Replies View RelatedHow do I turn off the vertex normal direction? I tried to go display > polygons > Reset Display.
But whenever i create a new polygons, it still shows up.
Im using MEP and in MEP2010 the Offset command worked fine on my structural members, offsetting to the direction I picked.
In MEP2012 the offset command now offsets the same structural member to the opposite side of the point I pick.
The structural member is rolled 180 and the way I can correct this offset issue is to roll the SM back to 0, then the offset command offsets to the correct side.
Is there a new setting or something in 2012 that will get the offset command behaving the way it did in 2010 where it does not care about the objects properties and just offsets it correctly?
i have a 1000+ table i need to put there formation Level which one i need to subtract from PGL level so any .lisp or any method how to subtract it if manually i need to minus each value from PGL
suppose my PGL at offset 5 is 105.452 so i need to show on offset 5 Formation Level so i will minus 105.452-.63=104.822 is Formation level is there any good option to subtract table automatically
I have a polyline that meets itself back at the beginning. It should be closed and appears to be. I joined several lines to get the polyline. When I try to offset it I can only offset towards the inside and not the outside. Is there a reason for this or am I doing something wrong?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.

If I am copying an object using snaps vertically down a wall a certain distance and come to a wall corner and then need to copy the object the same distance horizontally as I did vertically is there an easy way to enter this new direction? I keep thinking that I would just enter displacement and for X I should be able to use my mouse and snap/measure the old Y distance and then put Y,Z as 0. However, there is no option to get a relative distance in displacement. Is there something I am missing in the command?

i found the problem of dimension when moving the whole object inclusive the dimension to any direction.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhy is it that on some versions of cs6 when i select the "set foreground color" (or background), the color dialog pops up with the hex number selected allowing me to quickly ctrl+c it. However, on other computers - with the exact same copy of Photoshop (cloud based and fully updated) it does *not* auto select the hex number. I've looked through the settings to see if this is a feature that needs to be turned on/off but could not find it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have our options set to Auto Publish on Save (Autocad 2011). On some of our stations, the PDF will pop up automatically. This is what we WANT to happen. On other stations, the pdf has to be found and then opened to make sure it is correct. (this step, which is apparently way to difficult for some people, is not being performed, leading to extra work/time later to complete the project) I had everyone ensure their DWGtoPDF.pc3 custom properties was set to "open in PDF viewer when done" (and when they do a straight plot, it does come right up) It just wont do it when its thru Auto Publish. Mine is one of them that comes up just fine....I have looked at every setting I have and tried to compare with theirs, but it all looks the same.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have created a linetype with the text GAS OPTION in it. The line is continuous with a break around the text. In a straight line the linetype works fine (breaks around the text etc). However, when I use a polyline and spline the line for a curved line the text aligns with the direction of the line at the start, but when the line bends, the text suddenly changes direction and reads in the opposite direction. It looks like AutoCAD is trying to keep the text upright rather than following the direction of the line. When the text changes direction it also changes its insertion point and overlaps the continuous part of the line. I have 2013 AutoCAD.
Here is the string I used for the linetype.

I have cut several sections at different points along a road alignment. The sections are cut facing the same direction as the alignmnet. Is there a way to reverse the section direction without changing the alignment direction?

How are arrowhead attachment locations calculated when using the Automatic Balloon command? Arrowheads seem to attached to objects at rather strange places!
I normally use auto-ballooning to place balloons within a drawing and then "season to taste". Is there a way to control how and where the arrowhead gets attached to an object?
I'm looking for an option to keep master or source blocks together in one file that when changes need to be made I can just update them once and those changes reflect immediately in drawings containing said blocks. I had thought that the wblock command was used for this but it seems to just be another way to insert blocks similar to the design center.

I have a drawing of a stone railing section and I have to change direction in the run direction of the baluster panel.
