The options window will not display when typing "options" in the command line or selecting from the drop down. The options menu has to be hidden somewhere because AutoCad will not allow any other commands after typing options until I hit escape. I have tried restarting CAD and rebooting my computer with not luck.

I am looking for a way to set a couple options in the Manual Tune window from the Performance Tuning window (3DCONIG Prompt). More specifically I want to be able to:
Check what the setting for Enable hardware acceleration is (so it can be restored back)Set Enable hardware acceleration offReduce the number of tessellations to cacheReduce both the Surfaces, and Curves tessellation How would I do this from command line? My ultimate goal here is to run these commands in .NET.
As a new user I really prefer the single window mode but have a real problem in that every time I open a filter the window/box that open opens up underneath the single window and I cant see it without minimising the main gimp window. I've played with the preferences windows management options and seem to have all the file options curves etc on top now (these were opening under the single window at one point) but nothing I do seems to want to make the filter boxes open where I can see them - It's making GIMP quite unpleasant to use.

I used Solid Edge for my entire professional career. One thing that is driving me batty is how, when necessary in a view for clarity, tangent lines are displayed and how to change them, or at the very least, come up with a work around to display them how is needed. In general, tangent lines are first, supposed to be of thinner lineweight, but also, are not supposed to extend all the way across the surface of a part, they are to leave a small gap.
I have found and tried the option of displaying tangent lines, and also have checked the for shorten option. The issue is, in many of the parts the gap produced in HUGE. So I've spent a few hours tinkering, and I finally decided to try and define a new linetype using autocad express tools. So I tried this, but to my dismay I haven't been able to set up a linetype that only has a gap at the end. See attached jpeg for illustration.
How to repeat a command with options used previously? For example, I create Arc with "Start End Radius". If I repeeat command pressing spacebar or enter, an arc creates with options by default ("3-point").
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to extrude an object then do a subtract or something similer, then somehow put the subtract on a layer so if i hide said layer the extrueded object will be showen as if it never had the subtract applyed. But if the layer is show agean then the extrued will have a hole in it agean.
P.s. for an example of one thing this could be used for, modeling wrenches with difrent shaped grips but the same handle. Without just making multiple copys of the handle.
Is there a way when using the AEC window insert command to remove the glass to allow for 3D printing to have an open window. Setting the glazing to 0 still shows something for glass. I would just like to have a box so I can see through into the room.

I need to SWEEP the yellow rectangle in this drawing along the magenta 3DPOLYLINE. This is a stair stringer for a winding stair I'm trying to model. The trouble is that when I SWEEP it the rectangle begins to rotate and ends up all out of whack once it gets to the top.
As I understand it, this is something that AutoCAD does not handle well and something like 3DsMax does. Problem is I don't have 3Ds Max and if I recall correctly there is a way to do this within AutoCAD. I just don't understand the SWEEP command options well enough. I've tried setting Align to No and Twist to the 270° that this thing runs, but each time I end up with the stringer rotated out of place.
I am running the free student version of Maya 2013. I am trying to change the settings under Render-Settings so I can render 240 frames @ 30 FPS. However, when I select the "Options" & "Render Settings" in the Render window, the options will not display.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Revit Architecture 2013 and am trying to create a window family that has different grid options built into the family. I have included a copy of one of my window families I am working on and an image for an examples of what happens when I load all my windows into a project and place them. Some of the grid families do not automatically adjust to the size it should be. But if I click on the window (lets say it as no grids) and then select the no grid parameter again then it will adjust. How I can get these windows to adjust automatically so I don't need to do an extra step to make them look right!?

I am designing a website and when I apply a drop shadow or inner shadow to a layer through layer style/blending options in the layers tab. It applys the same angle etc.. to all the other layers I have done styles too...
I will have 5 + layers done with styles and I will make a new layer and give it a shape, open up blending options and when I do a drop shadow and change the angle I literally can see everything on my layout change angles also when I move it around for just ONE layers style... What on earth is going on? This makes it impossible to make unique designs unless I keep flattening my PSD and transfering stuff over which destroys workflow.
Running LR 3.5 v5.1 XP. All view options are checked, doesn't show if cropped, adjustments, pick, etc. And, it doesn't show in Grid view. Works well in LR 3.4.1 v6.1.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with the secondary display (window, in my case; only one monitor). When I first open the secondary display, either with a keyboard shortcut or by clicking, all is fabulous. The display modes (Grid, Loupe, Compare, Survey) are visible & clickable, as is thumbnail slider, file path. If I click or keyboard command to Loupe view, Normal, Live & Locked modes are available. However, if I close the window and then want to open it up later in my workflow, all of the aforementioned functions disappear. I'm able to bring up the Filter view, and can technically still work off the menu bar (and keyboard shortcuts, if remembered). But only if I restart the program do the full set of functions become visible again. The arrows at top & bottom don't collapse/expand to show anything more than a black border where the display & mode options once were.

I can't seem to master this, it's simple in Indesign, but in Photoshop when I draw a line shape, and then go to stroke / drop shadow it in the layers blending options, it strokes a long rectangle, not a line. I'm doing this to mark off a road path on a map.

I don't know what I did but can't move or resize to get it back down to the bottom where it belongs. I can get it to dock to the left and right or float but nothing else. It doesn't behave like the the other palettes n that I can't seem to drag it anywhere.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAn example is when I'm drawing a box, line etc and attempt to type "@5,-5", AutoCAD somehow jumps to a window on the side and if I don't notice will restore the window I'm working in and not complete the command I typed ("@5,-5" in this case). If I do notice in time, then I have to pres ESC about 3-4 times, which will then have me back on the command line with the text "@5,-" already typed (as if that was were I paused while typing??). The attached picture shows the dialog box on the top left, and the command line as if I've only typed "@", when after pressing ESC as mentioned the full "@5,-" text becomes visible on the command line?
Also, as a note: I've already ruled out that I'm pressing other keys that could possibly cause this...

Civil 3D 2013/ When I try to move or un-dock the command line window, a red circle with a line through it appears.
When I switch work spaces still the same result.
I've used AutoCAD 2013 on other machines and have no had this issue.
When pasting to the command line there is a huge delay from when I hit CTRL-V until the actual text is displayed in the command line. It takes roughly 4.5 seconds for the following to display after pasting: (command "-view" "D" "*"). The time it takes is roughly the same and does not depend on the size of the lisp that I'm pasting.
The command bar is docked to the bottom and there is no transparancy enabled.I have tried setting AUTOCOMPLETEDELAY to 0 and 10 with no change.I have completely disabled all Auto-Complete options and it still happens.
There is also a significant delay between Auto-Complete populating the list of suggestions and when I am able to use the arrow keys to move the selection box down to pick a command.
